Everything was perfect , and congratulations to the owner, more than accomodating, very flexible hours, early breakfasts and very good also provided very useful hoistoric and local information that made the trip to Ponferrada the best with out doubt

I liked everything

The welcome and service at reception ( in restaurant) was friendly. Location was also good.

Rooms were small, although beds were quite large (King single) and comfortable.

The noise in the building was unbelievably bad. I booked this room to catch up on some sleep during my travels, but this was easily the worst night of sleep I had, even coming from albergues on the Camino. Doors slamming and people shouting in the building at all hours of the afternoon, evening, night and early morning. On my floor, other floors, right outside my door, all very loud. Woken up repeatedly by noise. While the noise is not the fault of the hostel per se, to me it means the room is not fit for purpose. At least some attempt should be made to advise residents to keep noise down between certain hours. It was a high price to pay for 3 - 4 hours of sleep. As bad as the noise - there was no heating in the room on a cold November night. You must check-in at the restaurant across from the hostel, the experience can be a bit slow while staff members are also serving customers here. There is no reception, you check-in at the bar, and at a busy time or with a lot of luggage this may be difficult.
