Grupo grande, donde nos hemos encontrado súper bien. Muy completa y cómoda. Espaciosa con 7 habitaciones, una cocina enorme, varios salones, amplios espacios interiores y exteriores. Perfecto para nuestra grande familia. Además, súper limpia, jardines fenomenales. La recomendamos al 100x100. Su propietario atento en todo momento, amable al máximo.

This is the perfect house for a large group as every bedroom has a bathroom and lots of separate seating and sleeping areas so great for several families holidaying together. Large well equipped kitchen and barbecue with wood provided. The spring fed swimming pool is cold but refreshing . There were areas for kids to play football or cricket. Lovely areas to sit out and eat in the evening and Bats and nightjars flying around at night. Well stocked local supermarket. The owner Paulo lives locally and is only a text away to ask about any local advice and sorted any minor problems straight away.

We were a big family group of 23 persons from 1 to 70 years of age. There were plenty of bathrooms - the grown ups had seperate rooms, and the teenagers shared their rooms but it worked well. It is a very charming house with lots of space especially outside. The garden is quite exceptionel, very extensive, romantic with a mazelike character, fruittrees, football ground and two stonepools, which everybody loved for refreshing or playing. We had all our meals outside under a roof or on the big terrasse in the open. Paolo was very helpful with everything, and we had very good breakfast with freshly pressed orangejuice etc served every day. Dinner was an option too. It is highly recomendable for a big group with a lot of different activities. Of course you have to keep a very vigilant eye on a small child regarding one of the pools that is rather easily accessible.

We had an amazing stay at the qunita. It's even more beautiful than the photos, especially the gardens. We were a party of 9 and there was plenty of room to be together and also to have privacy. We requested breakfast every morning and had fresh squeezed oranges from the garden as well as fresh rolls, croissants and eggs. Lourdes the gardener brought us produce and taught us how to make fava beans. Paulo was responsive to our every inquiry both before and during our stay. The surrounding area is beautiful and we liked being close to Viana do Castelo and beaches.

Amazingly spacious house with interior and exterior chill out areas and extraordinary gardens. It was nice, clean and it's better than the pictures. We can only really recommend it particularly with a big group or familly. Also, really close to the beaches, great for surfing (10-20 minutes).

Magnificent, roomy, historical family Manor with modern updates including great beds and ensuite for every bedroom. The owner Paulo was a wonderful host, who provided free range of the beautiful farm, grounds and gardens. He arranged for a driver for us on very short notice. We made and drank litres of orange juice every morning, had access to fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables. The gardener gave us a cooking lesson and samples of her own wines. We arranged for breakfast a couple of mornings. The homemade jams made by our hosts mother were delicious. Every morning a big bag of fresh Portuguese buns were on our door step. What we enjoyed most was just hanging out at the manor. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook on days we stayed "home". The village of Perre had everything we needed, some good restaurants, bakeries and grocers. It was a very good stay.

The house was beautiful, spacious and clean with many areas to just sit and relax. The gardens are absolutely amazing, beautiful water features and incredible selection of plants and trees. Paulo and his wife were very helpful. Paulo even arranged a doctors appointment for one unfortunate member of the group who needed medical attention. I cannot recommend this place enough, the pictures do not do it justice. We would certainly return again.

Wir hatten leider nur eine Nacht im Gite de Bento Novo gebucht, da wir eine Rundreise durch Portugal geplant hatten. Das Gite de Bento Novo ist eine unglaublich schöne Quinta. Sie liegt zwar etwas abseits, aber dadurch ist es sehr ruhig. Wir konnten uns die Zimmer ansehen. Diese waren alle mit alten stilvollen Möbeln eingerichtet. Auch unser Bett war sehr bequem. Am Bad gab es nichts zu beanstanden, Die Gartenanlage war in unseren Augen ein kleines Paradies. Alles schön verwachsen mit verschlungenen Wegen. Man durfte auch uneingeschränkt Obst pflücken. Bei uns gab es Orangen, Kiwis und Äpfel. Wir waren zwar die einzigen Gäste dort (Nachsaison), aber trotzdem wurde uns am nächsten Morgen ein perfektes Frühstück gemacht, mit frischen Kaffee und frischgepreßtem Orangensaft, frischen Semmeln, Rührei, selbstgemachter Marmeladen, Müsli usw. Einfach nur lecker! Die Quinta Gite de Bento Novo ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert!

Our stay at Quinta do Bento Novo was just marvellous. We have no words to express how delighted we are with our decision on this house. It's the only place I've seen where the place is actually best than its photos! We are a family of 16 and growing divided by three generations, with different preferences and all of us have really enjoyed this farm. It's one of a kind, huge gardens and house, good exterior and interior spaces to cook or have dinner and rest, great gastronomy, fresh fish available everywhere, you wake up hearing birds and oh, the smell of Nature! There are fruit in the farm that you can eat, a stone tank that we used as a pool, you can ask the gardener to bring you fresh vegetables every day, I really have no words to express such a wonderful time we had in Quinta do Bento Novo. I recommend without any reservations.

Paradise !! The luxury manor of Paulo and Ana is indeed a daimond . We have never stayed in such a perfect holiday location . It is beautifully restored in a traditional respectfull way , the gardens are breathtaken , so spacious , varied , like a fairytail with all the fruittrees , vegetables , tropical vegetagion and flowers and the pool from 1905 filled with fresh water from sourches . The house with all the spacious rooms is ideal for a large group or family , there is privacy for everyone ! Everywhere in the manor you feel a warm and intriging family history and tradition . The staff is very friendly , sweet , and professional and they cook delicious portugees meals on request . In vacinity of the house there are many exciting things to do , beautifull beaches , walks and waterfalls , restaurants , ancient city's and villages to discover . The portugees people are very friendly and helpfull indeed. An ideal location to stay with friends or family , from ages 3 till 55 everyone was sooooo happy in this house ! The only hesitation we feel in writing all these things is , that we are afraid of losing this treasure . So please all : enjoy and respect this portugese paradise . We visited for 2 weeks with 9 grandchildren ( ages 6 mths - 13 yrs),and their parents. The villa was perfect for us, plenty of space & the most wonderful garden. We all loved it especially the children, who could only be enticed to the local beaches with difficulty. We would recommend some improvements to the kitchen area which had inadequate facilities for self catering for 18. There were only 2 power sockets and the gas hob was not fully functional. Otherwise we were all sad to leave and would be very happy to return

Excellent accommodation with all the trimmings for a peaceful stay. Paulo went out of his way to greet us at the property and to make us feel 'at home'. not to mention useful tips and places to visit. The property itself is maintained to a high standard and the maid service was very friendly and thorough. Peace and tranquility can be found in the extensive shaded gardens and water features. Boutiques, good restaurants and beaches are close at hand and overall, the property is well situated for touring northern Portugal. Altogether a property which we can highly recommend.

It was such a lovely place. From there you can reach so many nice places with the car in a few minutes. The house is big enough for a group. One day some of us stayed just in the garden as it is awesome there. I can more then recommend it for a group around 20 people. Don't miss it.

Une maison tout à fait charmante. Endroit très propre. Proprios sympathiques et attentionnés, fiers de leur domaine. L'un d'eux a même pris le temps de venir à ma rencontre lorsque je me suis perdue. Parfait pour la détente et décrocher du quotidien. À moins de 15 minutes de Viana Do Castelo et de l'Océan Atlantique. J'y retournerais sans hésiter. Je recommande cet endroit sans réserve.

C’est l’endroit parfait pour passer des beaux jours de repos, en profitant de la tranquillité de la campagne et de l’atmosphère unique du Nord du Portugal. La maison est très belle et pittoresque (les jardins sont magnifiques) et l'accueil était parfait. Avec une localisation très favorable : Au cœur de la campagne, et proche de la belle ville de Viana do Castelo, j’y recommande un séjour à tous qui aiment être bien accueilli et qui aiment la tradition. C’est le choix idéal pour connaître le nord du Portugal (il ne faut surtout pas rater la gastronomie de la région).

We had a group of 10 adults who used Bento Novo as their base for a week of history, food and wine exploring in Northern Portugal. It could not have been a better location. The house is excellent! The location is close to interesting towns as well as auto routes if you wish to venture a bit further. And then there are the wonderful grounds! Each day our group could simply wander a bit after a day of touring and before we began to prepare dinner. A very relaxing place to stay! Since we knew we would get going early each morning we elected to have breakfast provided for us. Excellent decision. Elisabeta and Paulo were great help in providing some directions and ideas on directions and place to try. We look forward to visiting again.
