Great place … clean cozy beautiful

The kitchen was fantastic.

Oh my, how do I begin. An incredible home away from home. Rex and Cay greeted us and provided a walk through of the house, including some history. Everything and I mean everything and more was provided. So warm and cozy. We have traveled alot over the years and would have to say this is our favorite. Thank you so much Rex and Cay for sharing your incredibly beautiful place with us. What a joy to spend time there.

This was a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the area around Lake Placid but be far enough away from the crowds to enjoy the quiet beauty as well. Rex and Cay were great hosts. Loved the villages of Keene and Keene Valley. Great proximity to Whiteface Mt area as well.

The property is beautiful and the home is very cozy and has everything you need and more! The owners were very friendly and helpful. We forgot a few things for dinner and they were kind enough to lend from their own kitchen. Would definitely recommend!

So clean and spacious and incredibly nice and responsive hosts. Loved watching the birds from the screen porch, wonderful soaker tub and very comfortable beds. Highly recommend.

Great location in the lake placid region of the Adirondacks. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. Plenty of room to hang out and well stocked kitchen and library. The hosts are very friendly and attentive and located in the attached house. Despite having the hosts next door the place feels very private. Great place as your base camp to explore the Adirondacks. Would recommend to families.

My sister and I loved everything about this place: hosts, location, and the house was designed with comfort and convenience in mind! Breakfast on the screened porch was the perfect way to start our days!

Beautiful place, very clean.

My husband & I have been going to Lake Placid for 30 years. This year, our son wanted to ski with two friends and stay near Whiteface. Parson Place is a perfect location for that. Only a 10-minute drive to Whiteface, we were very happy. Not only is Parson Place beautiful, it is impeccably maintained. The fireplace is a work of art. The fully stocked kitchen (minus dill weed) is state of the art. Loved it! The bedrooms, the library... everything was cozy yet very roomy. Cay & Rex are great hosts. They were just a phone call away and very attentive to our needs. Communication was efficient. The Village of Lake Placid is only 20-25 minutes away; stock up on groceries there since there are no major supermarkets near the house. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Parson Place. We really loved it.

Parson Place worked great for our family of five! The pretty property is roomy and comfortable, and its location was convenient to our plans--skiing Whiteface Mountain, visiting Olympic sites, and dining in Lake Placid. We made use of the well-stocked kitchen and enjoyed the large fireplace. The friendly owners gave us a tour upon arrival. I highly recommend this property.

We truly enjoyed our time at this house. The hosts were very kind and made us feel welcome. The house is beautiful, clean, and well stocked with games, puzzles, and kitchen essentials. We were able to enjoy a fire pit outside and roast marshmallows. We also had the fire place going inside a few nights. It was the perfect location for us as it was quiet and in the countryside, but close enough to Lake Placid if we wanted to do some shopping or eating out.

Rex and Cay made our rental experience very easy and straightforward. They were extremely hospitable and their home was absolutely beautiful. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed the entire stay. The location is great as well. I highly recommend this property!

We had a great time in the Adirondacks. The house in Upper Jay was just perfect for us, roomy and nice. Rex and Cay were perfect hosts. The entrance was in the back and up some steps. This can be an issue with heavy luggage.

Great Property, amazing location in the forest

Hosts were welcoming and warm, there's a fabulous screened-in porch to hang out, and the area is filled with great hiking. The property is attractive and comfortable in all aspects. A wonderful stay.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The house is spacious , very clean and equipped with everything you will need for daily living and self care . Cay and Rex were always willing and available to help answer questions, they were very welcoming making our stay very pleasant .We appreciated the house tour upon arrival . I would definitely rent in this location in the near future and highly recommend this property, you won’t regret it .

We had a great stay at Rex and Cay’s house for our ski trip. It’s about a 7 minute drive to Whiteface MTN. Everything you need is at the house which is very well stocked with supplies for cooking and board games for entertainment. It’s about a 20 minute drive to Lake Placid town. Owners are on site if you need anything. Thank you Cay and Rex!

Very comfortable with all the amenities; big fireplace, full kitchen, comfortable master bed, big screen TV for all the latest Olympic coverage! Landlords live on-site but you are guaranteed your privacy. In fact, it was nice to get a refresh of firewood from the owner. Location was great for easy access to Whiteface Mtn (10 minutes).

Roxbury was a gracious host. The house was perfect for our needs. Well equipped and close to ski mountain. Tranquil...watched, turkeys, birds and deer enjoy the property while enjoying a roaring fire and a huge tv.

Rex and Cay were super friendly and attentive hosts. The home has all the amenities needed and well stocked with basics you don’t have to spend extra on. A very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Would definitely stay again on our next ski trip to Whiteface.

My wife and I were looking for a winter experience in the mountains. What better place than the home of two Winter Olympics and ongoing Olympic development training? Our stay with Rex and Cay was fantastic!

We were looking for a place close to Whiteface Mountain for a very impromptu weekend getaway with our family (4 adults, 4 kids — note that there is an add’l charge for extra guests that we didn’t originally see on the listing). There was more than enough space for all of us, including a large living area where we could all gather and play board games :) The fireplace is simply amazing and there was everything we could possibly need for cooking a nice meal. The only issue we had was with the walkway to/from the entrance to the house — you have to walk up/down stone steps that proved to be VERY icy while we were there. We would’ve liked to have had an alternative way to get in/out the house (no access to heated garage as noted by another review). We also weren’t aware that the owners live so close to the rental - wasn't an issue at all - just wanted to note that they are right there in case you prefer more privacy. Overall, a truly wonderful stay for our family!!

We had a great time. The kitchen is well stocked (great for cooking) and the accommodations with the house are amazing. Please keep in mind this house listing is ATTACHED apartment to the main house. We were under the impression this was a single house and not an attached apartment to the MAIN house (where the owners are living). There is no access to the heated garage (as listed). Otherwise everything else is as listed. I would also prefer to NOT have a tour of the house with the owner due to privacy.

The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Very clean house. Beautiful fireplace. It is extremely close to Whiteface. We really enjoyed our stay.

It is a beautiful house. It’s very spacious, and the bed was very comfy. Everything was well equipped, the showers and jet bathtub is great, although the fireplace is amazing:)

A beautiful house, nicely decorated and everything you would need for your stay. Very quiet. Nice owners on property if any problems arise. The elevator is so useful bringing your stuff in and out. Would stay again if in the area.
