Close to beach
Not well maintained pool was not usable as it turned green after one week. Reported water leak in bathroom wasn’t repaired for 3 days after constantly complaining daily. Breakfast facilities need up grading.

Top ist weiterhin Lage mit nähe zum Strand und und sehr sauberen Aussenpoolbereich
Die Zimmer sind geräumig jedoch alt ausgestattet und zum Teil sind Steckdosen, Toilettenspülung und Armaturen in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig.
Als sehr negativ betrachte ich, dass vom Hotel (trotz Vorauszahlung) eine Sicherheitszahlung von 1000 Baht in bar hinterlegt werden muss. (Angeblich zur Sicherheit für die Minibar) und der Shuttle zur Hauptstrasse eingestellt wurde, wobei es sich beim Hotel Avalon nicht um ein Low Budget Hotel handelt!
Leider wird zur "Highseason" das Hotel wohl ausschließlich von russischen Urlaubern gebucht, welche nach Art von "wer zuerst kommt malt zuerst" bereits um 7 Uhr sämtliche Liegen am Pool mit Handtüchern reservieren und eine übermässige "Plünderung" des Frühstücksbuffet vornehmen. Das muss einem bewusst sein wenn Pattaya gebucht wird.

Having stayed here before, I knew what to expect. It's a beautiful property with a spectacular pool. Located on a lovely beach where the temperature is always HOT. A great holiday destination.
Some maintenance issues are evident but hey...welcome to Thailand!

I went during low season and Saturday morning and Sunday morning many people waiting for a table for breakfast. I’m not sure how the accommodate people during high season

It's an old hotel but reasonably well run and maintained. The staff on the whole seem to be a little lacking in experience but seemed descent sorts. Not overrun by Russians despite some signage in Russian.

Outdated old tiring pool view room, dirty corridor carpets, poor house keeping, a smell of mould when entering the room, breakfast are so so, mattress wires exposed both sides and scratch every time get off the bed, shower gives different temperatures uncontrollably, WiFi broken all the time

The staff where so amazing, size of the room was like an apartment, the location and value for money. very clean and well presented. Balcony over looking the beach.

Breakfast is mainly Thai breakfast, I would have expected to have a greater variety of fresh bread. Some available bread needed to be toasted because it was always old.
