This is located very very downtown MoBay. It's almost across the street from the beautiful St James church. It is walking distance from many plazas, convenience stores and banks. It is also walking distance from the route taxi hub and to the craft market. But in MoBay being downtown can mean honking and noise and it is not their fault but there was a jackhammer working next door when we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us tips about food and route taxis. The beds were memory foams and the comfiest of all our stay in Jamaica. We had room 2 which had 3 single beds. This is not easy to find in Jamaica. There are no windows, bugs might get in, though there wasn't much mosquitoes compared to everywhere else we went. I don't think there is a water heater. The backyard is very chill and a good place to meet other travellers. The kitchen is well organized and beer can be acquired without getting out. The gate is locked and people with rental cars could park inside. I would not want to drive in that area though. It's chaotic.

Noise. No sidewalks, or dangerous sidewalks. Nearly getting hit by a car when getting out of the taxi out front.

I would never come back or recommend this accommodation for many reasons. There was at least 3 rats I saw in the property including one right inside my room which was absolutely disgusting. The room had a stinky stagnant smell because there was no air circulation (no AC and the windows did not open). The hostel is located in a shady area that felt unsafe especially after dark, it also got too loud from music blaring outside at night. Wifi does not work anywhere inside, only outside in the backyard which was very inconvenient. No hot water in the shower which was one of the biggest problems. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The host was unpleasant, unfriendly and unwelcoming. I have stayed in so many hostels and guest houses around the world and never encountered a host like that who never said hello, thank you, welcome, how was your day/stay/sleep, etc. or even smiled, NOT even once. I would find somewhere else.

Vanessa ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet und hat eine gute Größe. Man trifft auf viele andere Backpacker und kommt gut und schnell ins Gespräch. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt absolut ausreichend.

Wäscheleine bzw. Möglichkeiten zum aufhängen von nassen Sachen wäre noch gut.

Close to Harmony Beach Park and all the beaches out to Deadend Beach

Recebi orientações que me ajudaram a ir nos lugares onde eu queria. O hostel fica relativamente perto dos pontos de interesse, se você não se importar de caminhar, é possível ir a muitos lugares a pé.

Os hóspedes são um pouco esquisitos. Alguns parecem morar lá. Todos foram simpáticos, mas não é exatamente um ambiente familiar para você levar menores de idade, por exemplo. A água do banheiro é fria, não esquenta. O bairro é bem pobre e complicado e não é seguro a noite. É um hostel apenas para dormir e passar o dia fazendo coisas de turismo na rua.
