We absolutely loved our stay. There was so much character and space for everyone to have alone time and enjoy the decor and outside area. We will definitely be booking again!

This cabin is very centrally located for exploring Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, the Ausable River, Little Whiteface, and also not far from Lake Champlain. It had nice linens and everything you would need to be comfortable. Our only disappointment was the lack of air conditioning - they were having record high temps that week, but apparently their normal rhythm is to remove the window A/Cs in mid- to late-September, and turn on the heat. This is just something to note if you come in early fall. We were able to sleep comfortably at night with the windows open, but it got stuffy during the day. Good communication with the owner. The other note (this has nothing to do with the property in particular), is that in early fall Wilmington has almost no restaurants open on Mondays and Tuesdays, and some are closed for the season, so be prepared to drive or cook. We actually found a place called Monday Tuesday Grill south of Jay that turned out great. Lake Placid has a lot more things open.

Cute little home in the middle of everything.

The week was fantastic. We did 3 day trips Lake George , Burlington Vt., and a day at the horses Saratoga. 2 days hanging in Lake Placid. We stayed around the house at night had a couple of fires, cooked on the grill, sang some karaoke, and during a rain storm we played a game of monopoly. Wish we were still there. 👍

We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin is adorable and very nicely furnished. We had plenty of room and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the deck. Host communication was excellent...very responsive. Highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our stay. The house is west to get to so many spots that we enjoy. The pollinator garden is lovely. It is so quiet and peaceful. Nice space to relax in.

This was the perfect little cabin for our family of four but definitely room for more. Great location. Minutes from Whiteface Mtn. Easy access to lake placid and other attractions. Cabin was well maintained. Stocked with a lot of necessities for cooking. Nice fire pit and other outdoor seating. The host Maureen was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend.

Our party of 4 visiting Adirondacks. Enjoyed whiteface visit to the summit for some outstanding views. The cabin is Super charming and well decorated. Very cozy yet ample space with 2 comfortable sitting rooms. Everything was great! Nice fire pit and outdoor area. Would love to revisit in the winter. Nice quiet location yet 15 minutes from lake placid.

It was our thrid stay in the cottage , we really enjoy the ambiance, location and friendliness and ease of communication with the owner.

My family stayed at this very quaint and cozy property over the 2023 president’s week. It was clean, spacious for 2 adults and 2 teens, and very close, less than 5 min, to Whiteface Mtn where we skied everyday! In the evenings, a 15-20 min drive to lake placid and surrounding towns to visit our favorite dining spots. We ate in one night and found the kitchen to be very well equipped with anything you could need to cook a gourmet meal. Finally the many owl decorations throughout made this property a unique and warm place to stay. Owner Maureen was fantastic with communication.

Perfect little mountain cabin. Close to Whiteface and Lake Placid. Perfect spot for a trip to go snowboarding/skiing.

This house was absolutely adorable! It was the cutest mountain cabin only a short distance from WhiteFace and about a 15 minute drive to Lake Placid. The house was very clean and welcoming, and in my opinion, perfect! My 6’2” husband’s only challenge was fitting into the shower. However, we still had a wonderful 4 days skiing and touring the area and will definitely go back.

The place is cozy and welcoming offering all we needed during our short skiing vacation. The host is very responsive and easy to communicate with . My husband and I had a great time and would love to come back in the future.

My folks and I enjoyed this spot. I spent time skiing and they were able to enjoy just lounging at the cabin and finding some hiking nearby. Awesome location if you want to be off the beaten path of Lake Placid but still have it close enough to be able to run into town for a bite to eat etc. Highly recommend and would love to check it out in the summer or fall as well. Thanks to Maureen for timely responses to questions and for giving some great info on the scene in Wilmington and at Whiteface.

We had a great time staying at Maureens cabin. When we arrived the driveway was plowed and stairs cleaned off. It did get a bit icy, but not her fault! The kitchen was well stocked so we could cook our own meals while we were there. We had pot, pans, coffee maker, toaster oven to have all our meals! LOTS of warm blankets that my kids enjoyed over the stay! Floors could get a bit chilly, so I am thankful we had some slippers. We also loved there were some games available that we used on the trip. The two rooms were nice to have when one kid wanted to watch TV and the other wanted a bit more quiet for coloring/drawing. No laundry on site, but we didn't need any. Overall, the stay was wonderful and we look forward to staying again in the future!

Nice place

Had everything that we needed and was a great lodge to do some hiking around the area. Unforuntately during our stay the weather was not great but we still hiked Cascade mountain in the rain. This place had lots of board games and cozy vibes for rainy days and to rest during the hikes.

The rental was very clean and provided everything we needed just as listed. The rental was centrally located so travel was not not an issue to get around.

The house was clean with plenty of space for my family. It was very cozy with the fireplaces and lots of blankets. Had tons of games for the family to play and the house was well stocked. Would definitely stay again!

My family and I stayed here for a weekend ski trip. My adult daughters quite enjoyed the owl decor, and counted them all! The only downside to this adorable cabin is the small bathroom. If you're taller than 6', you probably won't fit in the shower. Maureen was very responsive and a lovely host, and everything was well stocked. We highly recommend this cabin and would love to stay here again!

My familly rented this beautiful house because it is 5 minutes away from Whiteface. There were 5 of us, 4 adults and 1 child 7 y.o. Maureen, the owner was extremely responsive and accomodating.When we came in the house we felt like we were at the owl exhibition. We enjoyed counting the cute little owls. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. The decor makes it feel like your own home away from home. The smart TV and the fireplaces helped us spend the evenings . The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfy. For the child Maureen brought a brand new sofa bed. A cute, warm, quaint place that offers lots of memories to come.It was the perfect getaway and we will definitly be back. Maureen, thank you very much!
