The location was great, most of the staff were helpful/friendly and the breakfast was good.

We stayed 6 nights over New Years and understandably paid a premium given the location. However, we didn't expect to be placed in a room half the size advertised and shown in the Booking.com photos. We barely had enough space to put 2 suitcases down. We complained about the size of the room as soon as we arrived and a staff member called Mario told us the hotel was completely booked out and there were no other available rooms. Frustrated, we came down again 1 hour later and were intending to speak to a manager as we felt we were completely mislead when comparing the photos and size of the room to our Booking.com reservation (advertised as 20 sqm, however our room was about 9 sqm - room 302). We didn't end up speaking to the manager, instead a nice staff member (Danielle?) told us there was one room available next door (303) which was slightly bigger. Mario had lied to us for some reason. We ended up taking 303 as it was comfortably bigger, albeit still not the size as advertised on Booking.com. We have never gone out of our way to write a bad review but felt compelled in this case, as assume there will be the same terrible layout on most floors leading to a few disappointed customer. (See fire escape plans attached) In addition to the size of the room, the rooms were very dated, dank, smelled of mould (the shower in 303 doesn't drain so you're constantly standing in old water), the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything, and the rooms aren't cleaned properly. There is constant dust/dirt on the floor boards so we ended up wearing socks in the hotel so our feet wouldn't get dirty. Maybe the higher level floors with larger rooms would be a slightly better experience, but i wouldn't risk it at busy times such as New Years and Carnival as you may get stuck with a terrible room with no ability to be moved. However, this was the only letdown of our time in Rio!

Café da manhã é cobrado a parte e achei muito caro (80/pessoa) Outro quesito que não gostei foi o cobertor que é deixado no quarto....um furadinho bem antigo. Mas o que solicitei é bem melhor. A ilumina tb sento falta de lâmpadas mais fortes para maquiar

A localização muito boa, quartos limpos, ajuda para carregar as malas.

O valor não tá incluso o café da manhã, fica em média 80,00 por pessoa. O estacionamento também é pago por fora.

The location and the personnel are amazing!

There is almost no noise isolation in the rooms. I was on the 15th floor and could here noise at night from the street - cleaning machines, people screaming, etc. So if you are noise sensitive be ready to use earplugs. The pillows were from real feathers I guess, and I didn't like it as I am allergic to this.

First off the hotel looked nice from outside and the concierge was good.

Once inside you realise it was very dated and small. When I got into the room it was fairly clean, but I saw what looked like some excrement from the nostril on the curtain. I asked to be moved; then Mr. Manager told me I had to pay if they were moving us. After stating how appalled and disgusted I am at what he said, he decided to upgrade me for free. This was no upgrade, the addition was a balcony which we never opened as the place was noisy. Every night at 1am you would hear the garbage truck outside for at least 5-10mins (we were on the 4th and 7th floor respectively). Additionally, at 6am there was a loud gush of wind coming from the bathroom lasting about 6mins in total, I recorded it one morning. And the walls were thin and you can hear all conversation from next door. Avoid At All Cost!!!

The hotel is old. There is no appropriate reception. Just 2 lifts are not enough. The breakfast is not impressive at all.

Super helpful, nice, and attentive staff. Room was generally clean. Shower had great water pressure and got very hot. Breakfast was above-average compared to many of the other places we stayed during the trip.

Rooftop area was smaller than expected and children were being very loud in the very small pool.

Impeccable staff. The best. They were incredible and it is a very good hotel. Very well run and easy nice stay.

The breakfast could have more options for vegans. For example, there wasn’t any milk alternative, like soy of oat, only lactose free. Other than that, everything was great.

Great location, clean, good amenities, nice rooftop pool with a cool view of the beach and city. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as found it pricey, but theres a nice simple bakery opposite the hotel for good coffee and AMAZING sweet breads and juices. Door staff of the hotel always on hand to help.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very good location in Copacabana, one block from the beach. Very versatile and tasty breakfast. Room size was comfortable. We enjoied the pool on the roof

The view from our room (9th floor) was the windows of the neighbours . The room furnitures and decoration are very old. Fittness center was closed due to reconstructions and we didn't know it until we arrived.

I think that the cupboard in the room has to be refresh , it is not convenient for thé clothes, lack of shelves.
