This WAS a great hotel but 2 years of covid have left it tired and sad.

Everything was a bit grubby. It felt that noone really cared

The architecture is beautiful, the people who work there are very nice.

The wifi does not work at all which was a huge constant problem throughout the trip. I’m fact, I checked out early and lost money on the final nights of my booking. I had to move to a hotel that actually had functioning Internet. Also at this hotel the shower doesn’t get hot water and the toilet get clogged easily. Also there is no free breakfast.

Food is really good

Internet has to be re-set everyday and its spotty

Location, large room, clean

Reception guy was not polite. Definitely not a 5 stars hotel, maybe 3 stars at most. Tiny single elevator

The food at the restaurant was very spicy, my son can't eat breakfast.

We were at rally room, it was very nice.

I did find the view pleasant, and the location was OK, but my experience with 3 simple problems was very disappointing and I would not recommend this property. I booked this property because it was listed as having a fridge in the room as this is very important to me. When I checked in, I checked with the woman at the desk about the fridge who told me she wasn't sure, I'd have to go to the room to find out. I went and there wasn't. I called reception and she was vague about whether they could bring a fridge to my room or if I'd have to move. She said to wait 5 minutes. This meant I couldn't unpack or go out to get food until it was decided and completed. After 10 minutes, I call back and she says to wait. This repeats a few times until she says her colleague is bringing a fridge to my room. After waiting again, he has not arrived, so I go to the reception and she radios her colleague. A male employee arrives with a fridge, but instead of going to the lift, he puts it on the reception desk and opens it to show its filled with mould. As it looks old, I ask them to check it works, which they are reluctant to do, but once plugged in it does seem to function. After a bit more messing around, the man finally decides to bring the fridge to my room and have the maid join us there to clean it. I am glad they wanted to thoroughly clean it, but this also took a lot of time and the man left during the process. Once the maid left, I wiped the fridge down with my anti bacterial wipes and put some things in it. 5mins later the man knocks on my door, even though I have my Do Not Disturb sign on, and enters my room uninvited to open the fridge and run his hands around the inside of it. Once I told him to leave and not return, I then wiped every thing down again. This was now 90mins after I'd checked in, and I was not impressed, and definitely hungry. During this time I'd also had to seek assistance with connecting to the WiFi.

They use some ridiculous system that requires you to scan a QR code to initially connect, and then to constantly reconnect by password during your stay.

The a/c and the lights in the bathroom, water temperature to coold

Staff is very nice and accommodating

Room was very clean, the best hotel location.

Room service could be better
