Nous avons été accueillis par Leonel, maître des lieux et sosie d'André Manoukian ;)), qui parle l'anglais et qui nous a de suite annoncé la couleur de notre séjour sous le signe de l'hospitalité ,la convivialité, le partage et la bonne humeur !! Nous étions 3 amis à loger dans le logement juste au-dessus de la cave à vins. Les lieux sont bien + agréables en vrai que sur les photos qui nous ont fait douter sur la salubrité mais en fait, tout était très propre avec une touche déco originale de sa femme Elda ;) Petite carafe de son propre vin, œufs des poules pour une brouillade avant nos départs en randonnées. Nous étions dans un bel écrin paisible entourés de montagnes et qui plus est, avec une belle piscine qui rafraîchit les jambes après une journée de marche !

Franchement je ne vois pas, nous n'avons manqué de rien.

We had a great time with Leonel and Elda. Homemade Madeire wine as a welcome gift and fresh eggs from the chickens every day and a beautiful view from our own terrace. The apartment was stylishly renovated and has a beautiful garden with swimming pool. Good base for trips to the north side of the island. Nice swimmingpool

Un logement atypique où tout a été bien pensé! Que du bonheur de siroter une poncha ou le vin de Leonel sur la terrasse privative qui offre une vue somptueuse sur le village et les montagnes. Nos voisines les poules (pas de coq!) nous ont donné de bons oeufs frais et la petite chatte Michi semblait apprécier notre compagnie. Restos à proximité immédiate et parking extérieur dispo. Enfin, Leonel (Manoukian?) a un réel sens de l'accueil et a à coeur de donner un maximum de conseils pour faire découvrir sa région.

Lit 1 place: couverture mais pas de drap (oubli?) Papier toilette usagé: à mettre dans une poubelle; Cela ne nous a pas dérangé du tout mais cela peut incommoder d'autres personnes.

Beautiful location. Great host who met us and gave us loads of info and good local places to visit away from all the busy touristy areas. Delish local wine and great poncha bars near by.

A beautiful, quirky chalet in Saint Vincent. It was a real pleasure to meet Leonel and his two lovely cats. He was very friendly and makes delicious Madeiran wine! I hope to return soon.

Very special place! Good wine, fresh eggs with herbs from garden in the morning, beautiful scenery (calm place but at the same close to everything… ), spacious, clean and nicely decorated accommodation PLUS a very kind owner. We were always happy to come back from our daily tours and enjoy the place at least a bit. We were only sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

Elda and Leonel's accommodation is truly magnificent. São Vicente and the north coast of the island are spectacular, this is the perfect location to take in all of the area has to offer. Leonel is a local, so is an expert on the area (great recommendations for food, drinks, hiking trails, and swimming spots). I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Elda, but the design features of the property (for which I believe she is responsible for) are excellently unique. It's a comfortable space to spend downtime, with stunning views from the balcony and a pristine pool to lounge by. The property is perfectly located within a two minute walk of São Vicente village, and a further five minutes to the seafront (which hosts more options for bars, cafes, and restaurants). Leonel provided both a transportation service to and from Funchal, as well as a bicycle rental service, both at a very reasonable cost. These additional services helped make my stay extra special and hassle-free respectively. I was also given a generous sample of Leonel's homemade Madeira wine, which was succulent and sweet as well as fresh eggs from the chickens they keep on site. Elda and Leonel's two cats also wander around the property. They are friendly, gentle, and affectionate; good company all in all. I endured both calm sunny days and stormy downpours while in São Vicente. Regardless of the conditions, I always felt that I was in the perfect place to enjoy my holiday.

Excellent location and the best host! They have created a beautiful setting for their holiday homes. The host was very attending and suggested a number of activities for us. You can easily walk to a number of bars and restaurants from the apartment which makes it very pleasant! They also have 2 beautiful cats that we loved having around.

Leonel è stato un host eccezionale, il vero valore aggiunto di questo soggiorno, grazie ai suoi consigli, alla sua simpatia e al suo senso dell' ospitalità. Non ci ha davvero fatto mancare nulla e sempre prontissimo a risponderci via whatsapp. La posizione della casa è fantastica, con vista sulle montagne circostanti, sulla capelinha n s Fatima e sul centro della cittadina di sao vincente. La mattina soprattutto, con le prime luci del giorno ha un fascino unico. La casa ha davvero tutto, cucina attrezzata, asciugacapelli, condizionatore. La piscina e il solarium in condivisione con gli altri ospiti sono sicuramente un plus durante la stagione estiva. A 5 minuti a piedi si raggiunge il centro della cittadina, ben attrezzato.

Staying at Casa Estrelícia-Dourada Garcês was the perfect change we needed from staying in Funchal for a few days. The location is great to explore the northern part of Madeira, there's a little strip of bars and restaurants nearby, and a small down just steps away from the house. For us, the location was super important so that we had accessibility to other parts of the island easily but could rest and relax without worrying where to do got dinner, groceries, ect. The house and stay itself was lovely as well. Lots of outdoor space, with the pool, garden, and cooking area, we were happy to spend a day at the house and just relax. What's more, Leonel took the time to give us a wine tour and tasting. We really enjoyed our stay and were happy we had such luck booking here!

We have no complaints about our stay, the host, or the facilities! Everything was just as we had hoped or better! :)

Amazing town-house in Sao Vicente with a great location and amazing view.. the place is fully equipped with everything you need. The decoration is beautiful and gives you a calm vibes. Leonel went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the company of the beautiful Crazy and Michy during our stay.

Fantastic hosts, incredibly warm and welcoming. Beautiful spacious room (we had the 2 bed chalet), lovely pool area and only a few minutes from the centre of Sao Vicente. Terrace is private and the view is worth staying here for by itself. Cats are also super friendly!

Hot at night, a fan would be a good addition.

Leonel y Elda nos trataron muy bien y nos hicieron sentir como en casa, el lugar es muy bonito y tiene muy buenas vistas. El jardín y la piscina están muy bien cuidados. Leonel nos regaló fruta de su huerto y una pequeña botella con vino hecho por el, también nos dio una botella de mosto de su cosecha y estaba todo riquísimo. Si volvemos a Madeira repetiremos estancia.
