The property was in a great location and Stefano was absolutely fabulous with getting our luggage from the top of the hill to the Villa. He was also great with anything we need for our stay

The rooms was great but the bathrooms need to updated. We didn’t have any soap or shampoos in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all.

for a luxury stay, with over euro 1000 per night, one not only expects great location and garden but excellent facilities. the kitchen needs a complete overhaul, especially the grill and gas stove. there were spiders in many of the rooms, the water heater is small (flow heater) and after every 2 or 3 minutes of water flow, it takes time to heat again. each room had a new in room air conditioners, which are required for the day time but the outlet pipe is yet to be installed and hence could not be used. while we knew, there are two villas in the same property, but we had during the 2nd part of our stay a very large group and the place did not feel exclusive.

Villa Giu was great. It is a large gated villa in the center of a very small town. We rented the main Villa (5 bedrooms) and other people were able to rent a smaller attached building (La Defense) at the same time within the gated walls. There is a huge lawn that leads to a large waterfront area with sun chairs and easy access to swimming from the property. There is also a raised lake-front deck with chairs and tables and a ping pong table/room to use in addition to the house. The garden and lake-front areas are shared by the 2 groups but it worked out fine. the Villa is 3 stories with good bedrooms. only one bedroom had AC but the others had fans. the Villa is older and a few things are funky but charming. we enjoyed our stay very much. there are 2 restaurants and a pizza bar and boat rental within 2 mins of the Villa. lots of parking inside the gates.

It was hot and more AC would have been good throughout the Villa but the nights cooled down and we were fine.

If you want a water fron estate, this is definitely a place to go. Next to Villa Giu you can take a ferry and get to Bellagio and other villages at your choice. Couple steps away, you can grab a boat and take a private tour around the lake. We loved to escape the WIFI, because don’t expect to get it at every corner.

From my perspective the Villa is a little bit out dated i.e. the older design could be maintained a bit with care, especially IKEA does not fit in such marvellous real estate.

Shower upstairs is a little small and temperamental but nothing to complain about!!!
