This cute apartment sleeps 4 comfortably and the kitchen living area was fully equipped for everything we needed. Within seconds to everything restaurants and pharmacy and minutes to edges of downtown. Only 2 things that hung us up - there is no parking at the house so we had to move the car around; and, the hot water in the showers had one temperature - hot. It didn’t seem to be possible to adjust it. These things should not keep you from renting this outstanding property, just good to know.

The apartment is absolutely perfectly placed with everything at a 5-10 minute walking distance. It's in a cute side street, right off the main street in the old part of Tavira! My girlfriend and I only had 1 issue with the place overall.. and that was the mattress. it's a bit dated and still has springs which meant we didn't get the best rest after lots of walking, and woke up pretty sore. We couldn't have asked for a better place & host, but we hope they can upgrade the mattress for the next time or next guests! :)

I had a great stay for one week at this propery. Both Jose and Diana were a pleasure to deal with. The accommodation was so clean and fresh on arrival. I couldnt believe how imaginatively it has been modernised. Very comfortable.

We loved every moment of our four-day stay in Jose’s home!!! Perfectly located, perfectly clean, and plenty of room. It really felt like home, not a sterile vacation rental. The well equipped kitchen was a nice bonus!!

The property was exactly as described. Very conveniently located and had everything you could need. We had a very local and unplanned issue which caused us some incovience during our stay. Once we informed Jose about it he done everything within his power to sort. His local hostess was less helpful, but as mentioned above once Jose got involved it was resolved as best he could. The issue I believe is now resolved and anyone looking at this property should know with confidence that the owner is an honest and very honourable landlord

We rented Jose’s apartment in Tavira for 12 nights and enjoyed every minute. The apartment is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, nice living area and updated bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable as well, although the pillows were a little small for our liking. The apartment is an easy walk to everything in Tavira. We had a car and used the apartment as our base to explore the Algarve. The outdoor space was perfect for grilling the odd fish and chicken dish. We would definitely stay at this property again.

We can't praise this wonderful property highly enough. It is immaculate throughout and equipped with everything you might need. The roof terrace was great on sunny mornings and the location is fabulous-just a 2 minute walk to the numerous bars and reataurants in this lovely town. Highly recommended!!

This apartment has been renovated nicely and is in an excellent location very close to town center. In our minds, it's the little things that made it okay instead of excellent: we had a few complications with the person responsible for checking us in and the floors were dirtier than we would have expected. This is the 4th apartment we've stayed at in Portugal, but the only one we experienced a sign asking us not to flush toilet paper down the toilet. But again, it's a nice facility with modern conveniences. Communication with the host was excellent, very responsive. In fairness, we did not bring up any of these issues during our stay since we did consider them minor, so he did not have a chance to address.

We had an amazing stay in this amazing house!! It’s location is perfect, right in the heart of town. You can walk everywhere. The house is adorable. My sister and I loved it. It’s super clean and has everything you need!! I definitely recommend this house!! Thank you so much!!

Lovely little house in the middle of town. Well appointed and stocked with useful things. Diana was attentive. Close to the square. Short walk to the ferry terminal to the beach. Would stay there again.

Very comfortable property and in great location. Quiet but close to main street. However, we were there for 2 weeks but no linen change. Not a problem but unusual. Also, toilet tissue was requested to go in bins, which I have not experienced in the Algarve. One final issue in the main bathroom was the shower tray. It's quite small and the curtain tends to 'wrap' round clinging to the person. (slim people) We did enjoy our stay and would recommend this property. Stayed at Jose's house in Tavira for about 4 weeks in March 2019. Really enjoyed our stay there. Jose was very easy to work with and answered all questions in a timely manner. We were met at the house by Diana and we were given a thorough orientation. The house was clean and well supplied. We did not use the kitchen for cooking but everything seemed to be there is you wanted to pass up all the wonderful restaurants in Tavira and cook yourself. The location could not be better. The house was very quiet other than the couple of days where they were doing construction on the business directly behind the house. Everything worked as it should. The only minor issues we had were the shower curtain, especially the smaller shower (close quarters and the curtain tended to stick to your body) and ants that entered under the doorway. I would highly recommend Jose's property for anyone interested in visiting Tavira.

Refurbished and stylish traditional Portuguese house. Well equipped with good quality appliances that would suit either a couple, or 4 friends. It is situated fairly close to the main street in Tavira and is within walking distance to the restaurants and bars. It is overlooked by a rather ugly building and is adjacent to an alleyway and public parking, which can be busy at times. However, I did not find them that noisy or intrusive but please bear in mind that it was the winter period when I visited and it may be busier and therefore noisier in the summer months. My only suggestion for the owner would be, that the second main bathroom could benefit from a shower enclosure, rather than a shower curtain which I found too small and impractical to use. Apart from that the accommodation was as described.

The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac right behind the main street in the old town centre of Tavira. Jose's directions were key to finding it, because the address is not on Google maps and Diana was there when we arrived to welcome us and show us around. The house was modern, well equipped and comfortable. The only downside was a background cigarette smell which was very noticeable every time we came in from outside.

Great property, great location, great price! We would certainly recommend.

we stayed in this house for ten nights and found it absolutely perfect for our needs, the location was perfect being a two minute walk to the roman bridge and about five minutes to the ferry.Jose the owner answered our emails promptly and was most helpful, arranging early entry to the house because of our early flight.

To anyone thinking of staying in Jose's house & has any doubts about it throw them to the wind because this house is perfect ... we have just spent all of May in this house & it's absolutely wonderful, on booking Jose directed us through the booking procedure, informed us on delivery of deposit , & told us to get in touch with any enquiry that might occur, when the date rolled round for us to travel to Portugal Jose sent us ALL the necessary details including an in detail travel instruction which was worth it's weight in gold, which we followed to the letter & on arriving at the house a young lady was waiting for us to show us round .... on entering the house my husband & I were more than delighted, it was amazing ...the decorating, furniture, curtains, kitchen, bed linen & towels etc were immaculate there was ample cutlery & China etc for our use a beautiful cooker & washer in fact it really was home from home, the terrace upstairs was well used & when some of our family came to visit they fell in love with it too ... Jose's house is in a lovely quiet location but very near to the main shops cafes restaurants & even the castle which we loved walking around ,I would recommend this house to any of my friends I have no doubt they would enjoy it as much as we did so thank you Jose for accepting our enquiry it would be very nice to come back sometime .... many regards from myself & John who is in deep depression because of having to leave....
