Beautiful view, stunning location and very helpful and friendly staff.

The one room we've booked was affected by loadshedding, which wasn't very pleasant seeing we had power all the time on the side where our room was.

Plumwood Inn is a great guesthouse with a good breakfast and attentive staff. We were visiting for Bastille Day celebrations and we had a great time. We would visit again.

Delicious breakfast - Lucienne is an excellent cook.

Rooms were a little on the cold side in Winter. They have a heater/aircon, but that wouldn't work during loadshedding. I believe the Inn is putting up a solar/battery/inverter system now though, which should solve all of that.

Lovely hosts Roel and Lucienne, fantastic breakfasts, rooms serviced daily, walking distance to the village, beautiful views, quiet location, very clean and modern. Great place and would return again.

Live fire in the room. Owners Roel and Lucienne were very friendly and accommodating. Location was fantastic only two minutes walk from shops. Spacious room and beautiful views of the mountains. Well equipped with fridge etc Large bathroom with bath and walk in shower

Ideally located near the centre of Franschhoek, Plumwood Inn is a wonderful property that provides peace, great comfort and the most amazing views. The property is very stylishly furnished and the owners and staff are most welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is plentiful and very tasty indeed.

There is nothing not to like about Plumwood Inn.

Everything! The rooms are beautifully designed with everything you could need, the guest pool area and grounds are really well maintained and it is a very calm and peaceful environment. The hosts are lovely and so helpful and the breakfast was the best we’ve had!

We needed to stay longer!

My wife and I had a lovely stay at the Plumwood. great location and nice rooms. also came with a great breakfast. We would certainly stay here again. The hosts were so kind.

Location is excellent near the edge of town, very close to the Huguenot Museum and good restaurants (although in Franschhoek nothing is actually far away). Property and garden well maintained forming a green oasis with beautiful views towards the mountains and a properly sized clean pool, surrounded by numerous garden loungers. Very quiet with quite a private feel to it. Rooms in the annex buildings on the first floor are the best in terms of view. Our room was in excellent condition, including nice large bathroom, proper closet with large safe, small fridge and high-quality wooden window-blinds for the wide balcony doors and all windows. Breakfast has all you would expect, nice open setting of breakfast area towards the garden. Parking is secure. Very helpful hosts with plenty of advice for spending your time in and around Franschhoek. Overall pleasant experience and definitely recommendable!

WiFi signal was a bit weak and connection slow. However, you probably don´t spend time in Franschhoek to delve into your handheld electronic devices.

We had a wonderfull time. Room and bathroom was spacious and with exceptional finishes. The setting is beautifull and peacefull. Breakfast was served by the friendly owners themselves and exceptional. Will reccommend Plumwood Inn it to all our friends.

We loved the stay so much we changed our plans and stayed another night in town :)
