Hotel situé idéalement dans le quartier de El Khalili. Terrasse parfaite pour profiter du quartier à l’abri de la foule. Le personnel est aux petits soins.
4.2
Beautiful room with wonderful decor and a big space! Fresh fruit, teas, stocked mini bar.
The breakfast was delicious and a lot of food. The restaurant at the hotel is very popular with a range of dishes. I loved the lentil soup!
Great location for the markets and seeing the old Cairo area.
We weren’t quite prepared for the loudness of the music until 3am both nights. This was a Friday and Saturday night- it may not be the case on other days. There are great dancing places next door to the hotel but the music is extremely loud. We were in a terraced room so right next to the bars.

The location and the terrace restaurant
There were two receptionists, the older guy was nice and welcoming, the younger one was grumpy and not welcoming at all.

Huge suite. Very nicely decorated and has a very comfortable bed. A balcony was included, and a working AC all the time. Very nice gesture from the property to give us some fruits as well.
Not well maintained and cleaned. Doesn't deserve this crazy price. The area is both good (history, old cairo, etc.) and bad (unfortunately not recommended if you are traveling with a female). Check-in took ages.

The whole experience in this hotel was amazing - from the very first minute we arrived at the front door. Staff were lovely, especially Sam on the reception who couldn't have been nicer. We had Suite No 12 and it had a great balcony overlooking the street - everything was clean and very comfortable and as we were celebrating my birthday they had a lovely cake left for us.
The restaurant was on the top floor and this is where we had breakfast and dinner and there was a great choice - I would recommend the Egyptian breakfast.
We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Cairo.

This pretty little romantic gem of a boutique hotel was right in the heart of Islamic Cairo, with the hustle and bustle of the old city and souks right at the doorstep. Our suite was the size of an apartment, with an atrium, living room with a sofa, large restroom with a Roman shower, balcony, sitting area with an antique writing desk, and bedroom. Decoration was even more beautiful than in the pictures. The staff was very accommodating and helpful and the place was clean. The upstairs restaurant served both breakfast (included, cute but the 3 menu selections were a bit limited) and dinner (not included, turned out to be one of the best restaurants we found in the area). As a side note there is no alcohol license here or anywhere nearby, which is hardly surprising given the location. Our balcony was surrounded by ancient mosques with beautiful minarets in all directions. There were several colorful and loud hookah bars and restaurants with live music going strong late - if you can't win them, join them!
This is not a quiet location if that is your thing. Wifi was a bit spotty but worked well near the router in the suite. Rideshare app cars are not allowed through the old city gates into this area so if you need a cab to the hotel door, reserve a cab a day earlier, or walk 10 minutes to/from the closest gate where rideshares are ok.

A truly amazing find. a delightful and luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Old Cairo’s thronging Khan El-Khalili zone. a really well-managed property with attentive on-site management, ever-helpful staff - and a surprisingly fabulous Egyptian restaurant on the rooftop, with sumptuous breakfasts and dinners on a beautiful terrace overlooking the busy streets below. I was extremely impressed, and will definitely return soon.
A bit tricky to get to, so book your arrival with the hotel directly if you can. Regular Uber and taxis don’t have ready access. Also be prepared for lots of atmospheric street noise and an early morning wake-up call from the mosque nearby. But these are small prices to pay for unique Cairo experience.

The room was beautiful and clean. Big bathroom, friendly staff, good beds.
Right in the Islamic old town.
Note there are no cars allowed in that area.
Restaurant is very good.
4.2
A great, unique experience in the middle of the old city. The staff are super nice and supportive.
The streets noise are in the middle of your room (until a very late hours)... Thought the sound isolation should've been better. Also, there is no easy access for cars to the hotel. If you have heavy luggege, you need to pre arrange the pick up / drop off
4.2
The location is in the heart of the bazaar, easy to walk around, and touristic.
The deco is quite exotic.
The front desk people are very polite.
1. We had a suit, but the furniture is actually quite old and dirty inside the room unlike the picture.
2. The hotel's post machine only accepts Egyptian currency and they're following their own rate by calculating by their way, they charged us 100 dollars extra than what we have booked on booking. This is very tricky. Better to pay by cash if you have.
3. The breakfast: it is small set menu, if you want anything extra, you have to pay a ridiculous price. i.e. 2 boiled egg for breakfast is 140.
4. There's no service, such as if you want to book a car, or tour, they're not very informative.

Le Riad is a wonderful boutique suite hotel in the Islamic District of Cairo. We really did not want to stay in a high-rise style hotel along the Nile and preferred a place with more character and color. Le Riad fit the bill. The suites are really spectacular. Huge and very well appointed. Sitting areas, balcony over the street and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast on the rooftop was glorious. The souk is a few blocks away and it seems that everything is happening on Muei Street. A lot of action. We had dinner at the restaurant on the roof which also was excellent (no alcohol). The neighborhood is interesting and fun. Lots of shops and restaurants and lots of people.
These are not complaints but merely warnings if you stay there. Two things. First, Le Riad is very expensive. The facilities are worth the expense however. Second, Muiz Street outside is extremely loud. Maybe because it was a Thursday night when we stayed (same as my Friday night) but the music and party started early and went until 2:30 am. While loud, we expected it and it didn't bother us. If you are sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs.

All the staff were wonderful. Friendly and always willing to help. Whole hotel lavishly and classily decorated. Location perfect to explore souks and mosques and a short cab ride to anywhere in the City. So good we came back for our last night in Egypt, having stayed there when we first arrived! A joy to stay in.
Nothing. Only thing we were sad about was that we never had the time or the stomach capacity to finish the tremendous traditional breakfasts!

The name says it all…this hotel is so charming. Located in the heart of the oldest area of Cairo it is bustling and lively with so much to see and do. The hotel itself is a slice of Egypt and the staff is incredible. I highly recommend if you want to FEEL like you’re in Egypt you stay here.

really nice and big rooms, exactly as the pictures. we went ton eid so the streets were a bit noisy but we didn’t have issues with sleeping. the restaurant upstairs is good, nice breakfast and good service.

The location could not have been better. We absolutely loved it as well as the beautiful room, the kind service and the lovely roof terrace.

The hotel was full of beautiful antique-style furnishings. The suite was large with a separate sitting area, an office, a walk-in closet with mini fridge, plus the large bedroom with its own sitting area and spacious bathroom. The hotel is right on a busy pedestrian street in Islamic Cairo, so the sights and sounds of all the shops and cafes were amazing but it was not quiet. However the double glass doors of the suite kept most of the street noise out. The staff were very helpful. Meals on the rooftop restaurant were very good, but alcohol was not available.

An absolute gem of a boutique hotel in Old Cairo. Cannot fault it on anything - highly recommended!
Sincere congratulations to all the staff in this great hotel.
No adverse comments at all - one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed.

Multi-room suite beautifully decorated. Lots of character. Right in the midst of Islamic Cairo so interesting sites near enough to walk. Roof-top restaurant charming. Calls to prayers. Egyptian cafe music. No doubt we were in the midst of real life Cairo. Plus…Remarkably wonderful staff!
4.2
the property is cute and the location is nice to be in the market
impossible to sleep from all the street noise, the wifi didn’t work. but mainly it’s just not worth the money. It’s a 2/3 star hotel priced higher than a 5 star. no amenities. impossible to get luggage to and from. unless it was priced at a third of their rate I wouldn’t stay there again.

a bit expensive
noisy at night due to surroundings if you prefer calmness but it is part of the experience though.

Very friendly service staff during breakfast, friendly receptionist
Never again - stay away! Once upon time in the past, the hotel was nicely decorated, with a different, individual charm - this drew me to book it for 2 nights, see hotel photos from another time, but in the past years it has been very much worn out and run down. It urgently needs renovation. I read it was loud, and we took earplugs, but experiencing it is beyond. It is like an Arabic disco in your bedroom until 1:00 am. Already four hours later the muezzin calls to prayer - the loudspeaker was about 5 meters from our window, it sounded like he was in our room, thankfully it only lasts 15 minutes. We were sleep deprived after the 2 nights. Lousy hygiene. Breakfast was OK-ish. Eggs and fresh orange juice was good, rest so so. Limited choice, expect a guesthouse type of breakfast, not what the pricing suggests. Thin coffee. Pricing: more expensive than the double rooms in most of the 5-star hotels like Fairmont, Ritz Carlton and the likes. Overall: a total ripoff. It is more a formerly nice, in urgent need for restauration tree star guest house and not the boutique hotel we were hoping for. Definitely not 5-star like the website suggests. Location: noisy has a new definition, expect little to no sleep. Difficult to get to by car. The receptionist kindly got us a taxi. To the hotel owner: the gentleman in the breakfast area is a very friendly person and the receptionist is also very helpful. But: do replace the carpets, paint the walls, invest in sound proofing the rooms, throw away those run down, cheap facilities in the bathroom, replace all appliances, invest in hygiene, rip out entire entrance and rebuild. Until full refurbishment, cut prices at least by half. I would rather go to the cookie cutter 5-star hotel chains that ever consider stay there again.
