Super quiet and stunningly located with uninterrupted view to the lagoon and crater, just across the channel. Townhome has three levels with beautiful patio on the upper floor. Perfect for a couple, and Vila Franca do Campo was very central for exploring the whole island.

Photos are very accurate and property was clean and well maintained. Would’ve liked to know there are multiple steep metal stairs to get to the kitchen and upper deck. This is not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, property is central to nice restaurants and about a half hour from Ponta Delgado airport. There is a large supermarket at the beginning of town. Neighborhood took some getting used to. Glad my husband was driving! Herminio was very welcoming and helpful.

Casa Dias in Villa Franco do Campo is centrally located on a beautiful island, with no more than an hour’s drive to any destination. We stayed here for 3 weeks. The large windows facing the ocean and islet make it easy to relax in any weather. Casa Dias is spotless, exactly as described, and well equipped with wifi, appliances, laundry and comfortable beds. Parking is usually available on the street, a grocery store is 5 minutes by car, and it’s a 15 minute walk to the marina area for shops and restaurants. Beautiful property, 5 star view. Apartment was clean, nice shower and had basic kitchen. Owner was prompt and thorough with communication. My word of warning is i will say parking is difficult. For drivers accustomed to large wide streets similar to those found in the US, the streets near this house are very narrow and if you park right next to the house you'll find yourself reversing uphill in a narrow street with other cars already parked on the side of the road leaving you very very little room. My advice is to park next to the recycle bins about 2 or 3 roads directly up the hill and walk the 4 min to the apartment rather than trying to park close to the house. parking was the only thing stressful about our stay and by day 2 we had it figured out. Villa franca do campo feels very authentically azorean and you do not feel like you are in a touristy area at all. It feels genuine and simple and authentic for better or worse. Don't expect lots of souvenir shops and lots of fine dining in close proximity, it's not that type of place.

We returned because this is an amazing place with a wonderful view of the ocean and the island. The house has everything you need, and is in easy walking distance to a huge grocery store with a bakery. The nearby pottery is lovely and we got the chance to work with clay. The parking up the hill always had spots so we did not have to drive down the narrow street. Highly recommend. Herminio is a helpful and professional host.

Accommodation is in top location with everything you need is reachable by food in few minutes. View from all three floors is amazing. Neighbours are really friendly as all people at Azoren. (Also includes guest holder) Booking and communication before and during stay were really easy. Great place to start hikes, go for Scuba Diving or just visit Ilheu de vila Franca do Campo.

Our booking was a last minute idea. Our host were very accommodating from the check in to the check out. The Views from the villa were breathtaking. The modern finishes within the unit were great. Without a doubt, we plan on renting this villa again next year. Thank you!

Herminio met us promptly and gave us a brief tour of his beautiful house. He is a very generous and friendly host. For the two of us, it was a perfect location. There is a large supermarket in about 10 minute walking distance, with a bakery and everything you need. As the property is located immediately overlooking the ocean, there is no turn-around for cars. You can park on the street, but then have to back up to the next cross street. We chose to use the small, free parking lot about a 3 minute walk up the hill. There was always a spot available. The house is just as displayed, and the kitchen is better equipped than most vacation rentals, including choice of a coffee machine and a Nespresso unit! We also used the car rental company Herminio recommended and they provided excellent service. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Perfect views from lounge and veranda. Clean with good facilities. Great base to reach the whole island. The pictures do not do justice to this great holiday house. Would highly recommend staying here. Good resturants within walking distance.

My husband and I had a really wonderful time in Vila Franca Do Campo. We loved the location of Casa Das Dias. It was a very short walk to the beach and also to many wonderful restaurants and shops. People of the neighborhood were also very welcoming. We had a rental car but really there was so much to see and do within walking distance I think we could have just taken a taxi from the airport. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment because there was so much to see but it was very quiet and clean and modern. The kitchen was well supplied with everything needed to make and serve just about any kind of meal. Grocery shopping very near by both local and chain stores. We are looking forward to a return trip.

Just got back from 6 nights in Vila Franca do Campo. Really enjoyed our stay at Herminio's apartment. It was well equipped and great to watch the waves roll in. Herminio was a great host, quick to answer questions and very flexible. All in all an outstanding trip for us.

We absolutely loved Herminio’s house ! The location is fabulous , right on the water , but for us our favorite feature was the large roof top terrace and the view .... it’s stunning !!! We spent most of our time up there ! Herminio is a charming fellow , and was very communicative with us . He recommended the protected swimming beach just downstairs and we swam there every day and made friends with the local people , who are all so friendly and kind . This was a fabulous place to stay and we are eagerly planning to return ! Thanks , Herminio , for a wonderful visit !

The space was very clean. It has amazing views of the coast from every floor. The big windows on the first and second floor are mirrored from the outside to give you privacy while still being able to see the ocean. The flat is in a quiet and centrally located town to explore the island. Herminio was a very gracious host who gave us great recommendations. I would stay here again if I ever return to the Azores.

The apartment is fabulous, set over three floors so ideal for fit guests. The walk into town and the marina is quite hilly too, so not for anyone with mobility problems. Absolutely fantastic for us. Great spacious bedroom, lovely bathroom, excellent kitchen and the balcony is the best place to take in views of the ocean and the islet. Wonderful host and excellent standard of cleanliness, highly recommended. We can't wait to return. Thank you Herminio :-)

We are so glad we choose to stay at Hermínio's 3 story home. The downside was that it was so comfortable and scenic that we had a hard time leaving to tour the rest of this beautiful island. When I walked into the second floor (modern Kitchen, living room and dinning) area I first thought, hmmm, no paintings on the wall. But second thought was, no need, as the sea view from the large windows is the painting. The third floor provides the balcony with the save fabulous view. It's not a large home (sort of a tall rowhouse or townhouse in U.S. city speak) but with three floors it was perfect for us for our 6 night stay. You are immersed with the locals all very polite. This isn't a place for partying but rather a cultural experience. We found a number of very good restaurant during our travels around the island and in Vila Franca Do Compo. Hermínio was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend his lovely home. Obrigada Hermínio!!!!!! If you are visiting over a Saturday, check out the 'living pottery' museum just next door (down the steps) from Hermínio's. What a treat! We actually threw pots on the manual wheel. Very educational and just the nicest people...... Great grocery store - either drive or walk (about 6 city blocks to the large grocery store). There are one or two in the village be we didn't have an opportunity to stop. There is also something like a Walmart/Target but much better and more fun next to the large grocery store.

Tough to beat this spot!! Great views from all levels. Large window on the 2nd level slides open so you can see and hear the ocean better. 3rd level patio has awesome views and is a great spot to kick back and relax. The village is low key with a few restaurants and minimal tourists. Herminio was very responsive and easy to coordinate with.

If returning to Sao Miguel we would book this again without a doubt!

My husband and I had a wonderful week in this apartment! The location on the southern side of Sao Miguel, right on the water, made for beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the third floor balcony. The steps down to the public swimming areas are literally steps from the front door! This location was a great home base while we explored all parts of the island. Parking along the street was really easy (even if the streets are little more cozy than we were use to!). There are also several nice restaurants within walking distance in Vila Franca do Campo (we really enjoyed Estrela do Mar and AV VA), but the apartment kitchen was also well stocked and we had no trouble cooking a few nice meals at home as well. The apartment itself was clean, well maintained, and felt very safe. Finally, Hermínio was great at answering our questions and helping us make reservations from abroad!

Had a wonderful stay in this apt. Nothing like sitting on the balcony listening to the waves of the ocean . The owner is wonderful warm friendly person. Did everything to be helpful to us. Where to shop, eat, swim. We were just happy to enjoy dinner watching the boats and swimmers right out our window. We would highly recommend this place as a place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed at House of Days the first time that we visited Sao Miguel and the Azores. To say that our time there was anything less than perfect, would be a lie. I rarely leave reviews for things online - too busy, too worried I can't capture the truth of the thing. These accommodations are absolutely fantastic. Right on the water - with views of the Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo - you literally hear the sounds of the surf at all times. This was a great area for us to explore all of Sao Miguel - at most you are a one hour drive from the furthest reaches of the island. Despite the fact that we were over 2 hours late to the unit, Hermínio was waiting for us. He graciously informed us about parking and all the details necessary for us to have a remarkable stay. We hope to be fortunate enough to stay here again in our near future.

A lovely property with the best views in Vila Franca do Campo offering three levels of living space. Ground level includes the bedroom with a huge picture window offering wonderful ocean views and a large closet with shelves big enough to store your luggage and all your belongings. There is a remote operated heat/air unit in the bedroom if needed. The bathroom includes a spacious shower with great water pressure, storage for your toiletries, and ample towels. First floor includes a fabulous kitchen and living area with large sliding doors offering tons of natural light and great ocean views. The kitchen is well equipped with electric stove top, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The living area offers a flat screen satellite TV. This floor also includes a heat/air unit. Second floor (top floor) offers a small office space and a sliding door out to an incredible terrace which is equipped with comfy patio furniture including a bistro table/chairs, a charcoal grill, and an outdoor sink. The washing machine in located in a utility closet on the terrace with a foldable clothes drying rack. There are too many bonuses to list them all but House of Days offers magnificent ocean views from all three levels, excellent wifi, comfortable modern furniture, safe, friendly neighbourhood, and ample street parking right outside your door. There is a SolMar grocery store in town, about a 15min walk or a 2min drive from the property offering everything imaginable including fresh baked goods, take away prepared meals, wine, spirits, and beer; prices are very reasonable. Last but not least, Hermenio is a gracious host who truly cares about his guests and who takes pride in his ownership. I highly recommend this property.

Immensely enjoyed the apartment and the area. Herminio was pleasant and helpful. My only disappointment was having to leave. Another week would have been great.

Vila Franca do Campo : "House of Days" - Would have loved to have spent many more dreamy days in this unique gem of a house in the perfect location for a truly relaxing holiday by the sea. For you English people, the house of the friendly and helpful Herminio was a " Grand Designs "- dream home with vast high tech ( see out but not in ) glass frontage offering panoramic views of the ocean - nothing between you and the sea. Perfect serenity for you writers, artists or simply those needing total relaxation ! The house, on 3 stories boasts spotless facilities ( ladies and perhaps gents, you may need to take a hair dryer - although there may have been one added since our holiday in May ! ) and the upper terrace with barbecue is perfect . A car is needed if you wish to venture further to visit the quaint coastal villages dotted around this picturesque island and the more ' holiday typical resort features' of the capital ' Ponta Delgada.' Herminio will inform you of the superb local restaurants . We hope to return to this idyllic holiday home soon and often! Lucia and Steve, Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Herminios apartment is a really well designed super modern space, extremely minimalist with polished concrete floors and white finishes everywhere. It was extremely clean,had a great shower and a location in Vila Franca that was second to none. Herminio was very welcoming and was very responsive when needed, the mid week housekeeping visit was also appreciated. A small suggestion that would really make this place top class would be the inclusion of a hair dryer and some storecupbord basics like salt, pepper a small amount of laundry powder etc...things you really don't want the hassle of buying on holidays,but otherwise perfect!

We had a great vacation and really enjoyed the friendliness of the local people, not to mentioned the wonderful landscapes all over the island. The property is in a very good condition, clean and functional. Cleaver details, sliding windows and electric curtains. Location is good, practical starting point to wisits both West, North or Eastern part of island. The owner is very friendly and will make sure everything is OK. Strongly recommend renting a car, so many places to explore on the island. A big car might be a bad idea if Your not used to narrow streets though.... Bar Caloura serves spectacularly good grilled fish food not that far away and OK snacks/drinks can be purchased in the popular cafeteria/Bar in the nearby Marina. All the best for You Herminio
