We had a lovely holiday at this apartment- it is a great location with lovely views over the valley and mountains. Some good ski areas nearby. Apartment was well kitted out and had everything we needed.

Logement fonctionnel avec un petit plus : Terrasse carrelée et petit espace vert en RDC. IL est très bien situé au petit Châtel, au-dessus de Châtel avec une vue magnifique sur le village ! Toutes commodités à proximité. Nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables 😍

Apartment is well appointed, as per description, and offers good access to Chatel centre (15 min walk taking direct route) and various access points, by ski bus or private car, to both Chatel and wider Portes de Soliel areas. It is in a small block so minimal comings and goings from other people, car parking on site so easy to carry luggage/shopping, and pleasant outside space to sit on a deckchair in the sun with a beer after a hard day's skiing!

Apartment nice and clean and well stocked with everything you need for a weeks stay. Great ski bus service picked up just outside apartment so no car needed. Nice comfy chairs made relaxing easy after a full days skiing. Good modern kitchen but a shower curtain for the bath would have been preferable. Overall a great stay and would recommend the apartment. Sarah was also very helpful before the holiday with lots of info on the area etc.

We had a perfect few days in Chatel staying in this lovely apartment in Petit Chatel. Very cozy and homely, we would definitely book again!

Lovely warm apartment, close to bus stop with plenty of regular buses. Loads of great information provided by very friendly owners, Sarah was really friendly and helpful.

The apartment is fully equipped, quiet en clean. We stayed there for a week with a family of 6. The view is excellent, especially for the fireworks at New Years eve. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of snow but the lifts at Pre-la-Joux are within a 15 minute drive. We hope to return someday. The only downside was that you can't attach the showerhead to the wall.

The property was very clean very spacious with excellent views we only had a short trip we would have loved to stay longer would recommend this property and we will try to re book in ski season.

The apartment was perfect, with a little more room than the average in the area. It was clean and tidy, very homely. Location was just right for all the places we wanted to visit, though there was so much to do locally too, with excellent shops and restaurents. The cable cars were all open and the 'Fantasticable' was a great hit! (not for the faint hearted!). Luckily for us the weather was wonderful, so we could sit out of the front of the apartment on the lawn most evenings and relax watching the sun go down casting sunbeams and shadows along the valley. The apartment was just as described in the listing - well equipped, well laid out, comfortable and clean. The views of the mountains and valley were fabulous. Right outside the apartment, there was a bus stop for the free, regular bus service down to Chatel and the surrounding ski slopes. The owner provided really first rate customer service and so we thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone reading this review.

The views from this place are just breathtaking! The two large french windows allow lots of day light in. The layout of the apartment is nice a cosy; small kitchen area round the corner from the dining and living area which has ample space to chill out. Perfect location for skiing (regular bus goes by (about 30 second walk from the apartment block from door). lovely comfy beds and the duvets were SO comfy!

I stayed in this apartment with my wife and 3 children over February half term for our first family ski trip. In the run up to our holiday the owners were extremely helpful in providing information about the apartment and the local area which really helped us plan our stay. The apartment itself is a cosy retreat and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay, with the added benefit of having views which are to die for. The location gives you brilliant access to the ski lifts and slopes - We even managed to ski right back to the apartment one afternoon. Although we spent the majority of our time skiing at Pre la joux, we did venture into Chatel a couple of times to eat out and also to go swimming at the new pool complex which boasts a fabulous outdoor pool overlooking the mountains. There was also access to a reasonably priced supermarket nearby. All in all we had a fabulous holiday and would definitely recommend this location and in particular this apartment if you are looking for comfortable accommodation which is good value for money.

We know Chatel very well having had some fabulous holidays there both in summer and winter and when the snow looked good to last we booked a week at Easter. We were looking for a cosy, well equipped apartment with a view and wow - what a view!. It is now my screen saver and everyday I look out over the valley to the snow topped mountains and I feel myself relax. We had two snow falls when we were there even though it was late in the season, so we saw Chatel picture postcard snow covered and had some fabulous blue sky, powder ski days on the slopes. There is a bus stop just outside and so some days we caught the bus other days I dropped the hard-core skiers then came back to relax looking out over the valley and to walk our dog. It was lovely to be able to have her with us, she adores the mountains and the snow and just a few minutes from the apartment is a little track that takes you up into the mountains and onto the piste! The dog and I would walk up there after the lifts had closed and enjoy the peace and serenity of an empty piste - bliss. Access to such a big domain meant that there were slopes to challenge our twenty something son and yet if you had beginners in your party there are lovely areas for them to learn. The town itself has a great selection of restaurants and the only negative point is trying to decide which restaurant to choose. Summer in Chatel is brilliant too with a new outdoor pool, white water rafting, wonderful walks, lake swimming and of course Fantasticable! Check it out on You Tube - A must for anyone who loves an adrenaline rush! We will be back to stay in this beautiful apartment very soon, we have already booked for next winter, now I just need to find a week in the summer when we are all free to go.... From my first contact with Sarah I knew this would be a great place to stay. The organisation for the apartment was spot on. Easy to access and easy to find. Petit Chatel is just beautiful and in my opinion the best place to stay in Chatel. Snow was good......sun was better. Every day clear blue skies! Access to the slopes was really easy, the bus stops right outside. Everything you could need in the apartment and it was very comfortable and warm with beautiful views.....oh and wifi, our 14 year old was very relieved about that! Thank you for a fab holiday, we will go back and would love to see it in the summer. Reasons to book this apartment, it's beautiful and it's in Chatel, which is the best place in the Alps. Reasons not to book it.......None.

Sarah and Nick's apartment is a well equiped and very comfortable base for a winter or summer holiday in Chatel. Roomy & cosy lounge/dining area with two sun facing patio style doors allowing access to the outside grassy area (summer) with great views over Chatel and into Switzerland. Two separate bedrooms, not large but more than adequate. Well equiped kitchen with dishwasher. It should be noted that with 3 flights of stairs this is not suitable for some mobility issues. For car free access to Chatel the free bus stops outside. We really enjoyed our ski week and will certainly be looking to re-visit in near future

Four of us enjoyed a wonderful week in this apartment in the summer of 2014. The apartment was well equipped including games and DVDs. The access to the grassed terrace was a fantastic bonus, with elevated views over the valley-stunning. A regular bus takes you easily to and from Chatel village which has lots to offer a family on holiday

Very convenient spacious apartment for the three of us. Easy parking a short drive/ bus ride from the centre of Chatel and within easy walking of a chair lift. Chatel is a pretty resort with lots of atmosphere.

Very nice and cozy apartment. Clean, well equipped and maintained. Although not very big, the apartment can be considered spacious compared to the usual French wintersport apartments. Very helpful owners. We stayed for a week with 2 adults and 2 grown up children and had a wonderful time skiing in the area. Busstop in front of the apartment. Recommendable to everyone!

It was great to stay in this appartment. It's clean and practcal, everything you'd need is available. The owners are very nice and helpful, always responded quickly. I'd definitely recommend it.

We have just come back from a fantastic weeks skiing and we can highly recommend this apartment. The apartment is a good size and accommodated 6 adults with ease. The kitchen is well equipped with a full size oven and a dish washer. The apartment was very clean and is well maintained. The owner provided great service and was always quick to reply to our questions. The apartment is at the far end of Petit Chatel and has the advantage of being the first stop for the ski bus in the morning (although last stop in the evening) A few good bars and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk and Chatel is about a 30 minute walk. The apartment is in a very quiet area and the other occupiers were very friendly. We are looking to use this apartment again.
