The lake house was roomy, comfortable, clean and well furnished. It was a great location for exploring the area and we really enjoyed being right in the lake.

I hesitate to brag so much …. Because… this is such a diamond! Everything was perfect. The beds are so comfortable! Kitchen has EVERYTHING you need and more! Lake Decor is so cute! Close to a fabulous little town! We will be back !

Our family of six enjoyed a fantastic vacation in this ideal lake house, which was clean, comfortable and cozy! The location was great and we couldn’t believe how quiet it was. Close enough to the University to make attending graduation easy but secluded enough to make us feel like we were “away.” The house is COMPLETLY equipped with quality furnishings, bedding and recently updated bathrooms. The reclining couches are comfy and there are plenty of chairs to relax in on the back screened porch. We loved paddling on the lake, playing pool and being able to bring our dog. John and Terri are perfect hosts who made us feel like special guests. This was our 3rd? (4th?) stay at this property- there are so many reasons we keep coming back!

Was exactly what we needed!

We loved the peacefulness of the area! The house was exactly as described and extremely clean! We enjoyed some quality time with our daughter and niece at Clemson.

We had a wonderful time relaxing, which was the goal. John was quick in communicating & very accommodating. Check in & out was easy & they welcomed us with a sweet treat of Easter cupcakes...so thoughtful. The house was as described & the dock was perfect for fishing & just relaxing. Kitchen had most of everything you need. Pool table was a lot of fun & other games are provided. Great back porch as well. We enjoyed our visit & would recommend.

We had a great time and the property was beautiful. We plan to come back when it’s warmer and be able to enjoy Lake Hartwell on the boat! John was fantastic to work with and incredibly responsive.

We were in town for a fishing tournament. The house was perfect with plenty of parking for trucks and boat trailers.

This place was exactly what my family was looking for-comfortable accommodations, peaceful setting, and so many things to do. The kitchen is not only beautiful, but is FULLY stocked-almost anything you could need is available! The host provided a nice welcome gift and had thoughtful touches throughout the home to make our stay even greater! We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe for a lovely afternoon on the water, had family game time playing pool and a few of the games, hiked to some nearby falls, and went horseback riding. Again, this was exactly what our family needed for our getaway!

This is it! This is the Lake House I always dreamed of going to since childhood. At 48 years old, that dream came true. This house is everything I imagined a lake house to be. The house is immaculate and cozy! Sitting on the back porch , rocking in the rocking chairs and staring at the lake beats staring at a tv or phone anyday! We had a great time sitting on the dock watching the fish jump. We had a blast using the peddle boat and sitting on the beach at night with a campfire was awesome! Being pet-friendly is a must and it was a perfect stay for our pomeranian. He felt right at home. If you are considering this or a trip to a theme park for your kids, RENT THIS HOUSE! You will not regret it. Your kids and your inner child (if you are like us and don't have kids) , will have a blast. A perfect outdoor adventure. Please save some dates for us though! We definitely will be repeat visitors!!

We needed a place to stay while visiting our Tiger at Clemson. What an awesome property! The small touches were fantastic! From the beach towels, to the kayaks and paddle boat, to the doggie bowls and the welcome cupcakes and personal note. John & Terri thought of absolutely everything! We can’t wait to go back!

I almost don't want to give this too good of a review because I don't want other people scooping it up on upcoming weekends I might need it, LOL! John was communicative and responsive from the very first email I sent him, incredibly kind and you can see he takes great pride in his property. We were greeted with some treats on the kitchen counter with a very nice note, what a terrific touch. The house is adorable and sits on the lake with dock access. Very clean, beds are comfy and the back porch is so nice to have your morning coffee and rock in the chairs while looking at the lake. Kitchen had everything we needed for our short stay (parents weekend at Clemson) and we all (friends we stayed with) commented many times how lucky we were to find such a fantastic place just miles from campus. We truly couldn't have asked for our stay to go more smoothly and to ask for more from a property. Highly recommend!

John and Terri where excellent host! They answered all our questions promptly! When we had a need, they where quick to handle and resolve the issue. We found the home to be very clean, as well as the property. I found the homes layout design to flow very well. The attention to details to the renter's needs were exceptional! For example, rafts/floats blown up already prior to arrival, life jackets all hung neatly, power banks/charging ports in every room, helping to take care of our pet's needs along with many other conveniences to the home. A special thanks to Terri for the "aww" moment we had as we entered the house and found our sweet treat. I would definitely recommend this vacation destination! It is truly a five star home!

We had a great week on Lake Hartwell in this home. The home was perfect for our family. Loved the layout of the home and all the amenities. The best part was the location on the lake!! It was so peaceful! We took our boat but also enjoyed the kayaks that were with the home. We were close to Seneca and Clemson for shopping and dinner when needed. The boat landing was easy access also. It is a great lake home!!!

Our vacation at John and Terri’s beautiful lake house was amazing! The house was even better than it looks in the pictures. The house had all the amenities needed and the pool table was an added bonus along with the life jackets and water toys. We loved sitting in the swing on the dock watching the sunsets. I also loved the parking situation with plenty of room to back the boat and trailer. Everything about this vacation home was perfect. The house was even better than pictured and the lake was amazing. My kids loved swimming in the lake and taking the paddle boat out. We tried fishing off the dock but no luck. Still felt great getting the poles out again. The rocking chairs on the porch were so nice to rock away the stress. Had everything thing we needed which you don't always get in other rentals (toilet paper, soap, throw blankets, etc.). When we had an issue with the hot water heater due to the storm that made the electricity go out briefly I contacted the owners and they came right out to get it fixed. Would definitely stay here again. You can tell they care for this home.
