It was our second time renting and it’s a beautiful house, very spacious Needs updated and some fine tuning

The home was big and beautiful. Very short walk to the beach and to Coligny. It accomodated my family and made us feel close, but still had room so we didnt feel crowded. Highly recommend this listing.

It was a really nice home in a great location.

Stayed at this house 17 years ago. Loved this stay as much as I did then. My only complaint was the vacation was too short. I'd rent that house again in a heartbeat!

Large property, great location

Overall I liked this house. The locations was perfect. The kitchen was HUGE - we like to cook! The house was spacious, although I would update the furniture layout in the living room with the kitchen to better use the space and increase seating. The pool needs work and additional seating. Maybe add a TV on the deck near the pool, so you can watch sports games.

The house was great for our large group. Plenty of space for multiple families and just steps from the beach and a short walk to the shops. Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyed walks on the beach, shops and the house had lots of room. Beds were very comfortable.

The home was very spacious and comfortable and ideal for the group of ten. We enjoyed the pool and the home’s close proximity to the beach. Although the house and its furnishings are older, it had what we needed. Unfortunately, we had to do additional cleaning once we arrived. And although it did not prevent us from having an enjoyable vacation, there are several items in need of TLC/repair (faucet/shower handles, shower doors, etc…. list sent to the Owner in separate text). Other items came to light as the week progressed. The biggest issue was the AC in the 2nd floor bedroom at the top of the stairs (the fan motor went out). So the guests in that room were without AC during the week. We were provided with an oscillating tower fan which helped some. Hopefully it will be repaired soon. Overall it was a good week. We enjoyed our Hilton Head vacation.

Great location. The cleaning crew could do a better job. It didn't appear carpet was vacuumed in 2nd floor bedroom & kitchen floor wasnt very clean.

13 of us stayed for a week and there was plenty of space, each family had their own bathroom. There were a few quarky things though- no drawers in the bedroom I stayed in or hangers in the closet so we lived out of our bags, hard to use the stacked ovens if short the way they are placed in the kitchen, and you have to bring EVERYTHING even spices. They did have beach chairs for the adults and beach toys which was really nice for the kids. There is a hot tub but it was extra $ to heat, when asking about turning it on while there, the owner never got back to us so was bummed about that because the hot tub did influence us on our pick for that house. 100 steps away from the beach so that was great when taking the kids to the there. Overall a good stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It is perfect for a large family. The bedrooms are all huge and the location is perfect to walk to Coligny Plaza and the beach. Everyone had their own space and there were also multiple areas to congregate. Highly recommend for a large family gathering or friend trip!

Nice spacious house. Dishwasher and on shower did not work. Another shower door did not close. Ice maker / water dispenser on the fridge had mold. Location was great

We had a great time. The property is a great location. Well appointed with most everything you would need. The place was clean and a great choice for us. We had 14 people but this place came handle more. It is very large. Owner very responsive and helpful. We paid for the pool and spa to be heated and it worked great. Couple comments on the listing: - there is not a crib as mentioned. If you have a need for that plan on bringing one or renting. - if you are interested in a place with everything new and shiney and totally updated like it was built yesterday, you might not like this home. It is a great place but it is an older home. As I mentioned earlier though, everything works. We would definitely consider this home for future visits. Thank you Peter for sharing your home with us!

Wow! This house is so big! We loved it. So close to the beach and the shops! Had a few things need repaired, but nothing major. Owners were very fast answering our questions. We would definitely stay there again.

This large home was perfect for our family of 10 plus an infant. Everyone had their own room and bathroom which gave everyone privacy when wanted, but plenty of space in common areas to gather. The kitchen and dining area were great. A very well stocked kitchen met all our needs. This house is so close to the beach and was perfect for our family with all the little people! We will definitely return!

So much space! Waking distance to so many shops, stores, and restaurants. We would enjoy staying here again in the future.

The house overall was great for us. The size was perfect. The location was perfect and Peter was wonderful to work with. With a little maintenance and updating the house would be absolutely perfect. We had a great vacation. Th home had everything we needed.

We had 9 people and this house was amazing. The bedrooms were huge. The location was great. The pool was a huge hit and we will for sure be back. Hilton Head is out new favorite vacation spot!

We had a great time staying at Drakes Beach House. The location was perfect. Plenty of space for 5 families. The cleaning crew didn’t show up until 4:30 and we didn’t get to move into until about 7PM. That was disappointing but I don’t blame that on the owners. The owner was very helpful when needed. We would definitely stay again.

Huge House, wonderful location to the beach. Needs some work on the outside of the house. Our family had a wonderful time!

This house is huge! We had 4 families of 4 here for a full week and didn't feel like anyone's toes were stepped on. Pool and hot tub were fantastic! Maybe 40 yards from the beach so it was great for a quick bathroom trip or refresh on a drink. Garage is huge and we did fine parking 3 suv and 2 vans. Owners were great and quick communication!

Great location, huge house, but needs some repairs and updates. Location was fantastic. Right across the street from the beach, and three blocks from Coligny Circle which has a multitude of bars, restaurants, and shopping locations. The house is huge. We had nine adults (4 couples and 1 single), each of the couples had a king bed in their bedroom and single had two queen beds. Additionally there was a bedroom with multiple beds that we did not use. Each room was very large it had its own bathroom. Space for all of us was not a problem. The only issue we found was that the house needs some basic repairs (toilet seats broken, bathtubs not draining well, TVs not working in some bedrooms), and updates. If your main criteria is location and size of house, this place is awesome.

This house was even bigger then we expected with huge bedrooms, all with a good sized bath(s) attached. It has extra stuff in the garage that we were pleasantly surprised by, like beach toys and lots of fluffy white clean towels but it’s also missing some basics like salt and pepper and a few bottled waters (& coffee creamer) upon arrival. We couldn’t get the Tv’s to work for most of our stay but internet was outstanding. The proximity to the beach was the best. The place is quite dated and could use some updating, especially at this price, but we would likely rent it again.

Not the most up to date, but the location is great. Very close to the beach. Also, the house is well laid out and lots of space. We would stay here again.

The house is so spacious and you couldn't ask for a better location. My parents, my sisters, myself and all of our families stayed and had plenty of room and one of the best vacation weeks ever. We highly recommend and hope to book this house again in the future!

The inside of this house is immaculate. We had our live-in maid along so that it became the equivalent of a 5 Star Hotel. While I rated this house the best there are some real drawbacks:..................... 1. This house has your old metal keys. The owner only gives you 2 keys for 11 people.It meant we had to leave one of the pool doors unlocked for our entire stay. It also meant that the owner had to mail you the keys by snail mail and if you do not return them on time it is a $500 fine.......................................................................... 2. As a Marriott Gold Star elite I am use to working with hospitality professionals. That certainly was not the case here. Don't expect the owners to be accommodating........... 3. The outside of the house and the pool could be updated............................................ 4. Parking is a problem. You can fit 6 SUV's with two in the garage, 2 on the apron in front of the garage doors and two parallel to the street behind the two on the apron. This is a major hassle with a number of cars............................................. All of the accessories for the beach (beach chairs, tent, tubes) are in the garage. The house has the new 5G internet. You will not find a more spacious house.

We had an enjoyable family fun week at the beach. Parking was a problem- info said 4 “normal sized cars would fit in the garage- not true. Maybe 4 golf carts. Overall good time though
