The only thing we can make a positive comment on was the air conditioning and wi fi.

Would not recommend staying here. If you are looking for just a bed then it is perfect. The only toiletries were 2 small bottles of shampoo. Not even hand soap to wash your hands. We are not tall people but when you sit on toilet you hit your head on the wall and your knees touch the wall. Terrible shower. TV had no sound.

The host Karen was incredibly helpful. Providing us with information about various activities in the region and letting us check-in early. The room was really clean and the pool was nice.

it was pretty

way too much noise from the outside. many dogs barking all hours of the night. birds chirping very loudly in the morning, a rooster crowing at 4:30am. the bathrooms don’t have a closable window, so the sound floods into the room from the outside animals. we did not get good sleep or much of it.

Staff were really friendly, rooms were cleaned everyday and really nice area by the pool to hang out

Not hotel's fault but I got bitten by one of the dogs living around the corner. So just please be aware of the dogs.

One of those classic 'it looks good on the pictures' places. Nicely decorated, wood finishes. It has a pool, a deck, the TV was working well. But I really cannot recommend this place.

The location is really not that great. In a neighborhood with lots of dogs, roosters, and other livestock. We did not sleep at all. The dogs were barking all night, and the roosters took over from about 4am. Earplugs were useless :). The place is cheaply built, so there is little to no soundproofing, the AC is noisy, your neighbors AC is noisy, and the shower has warm water, but does not allow for a mixed water flow. So it was steaming hot, or ice cold, pick your poison. The plumbing makes a loud hammering sound when someone tries to mix flows, so my sincere apologies to our neighbors for trying to shower at 6am. The place was also full of hair. Plus, the bathroom smelled like sewage, I don't think there was a water lock on the drainage. The pool was filled with sand. Anyway, I think it's clear we did not enjoy our stay here.

Very quiet and not too far from the town center and lakefront (about 15 minutes walking). Small but comfortable rooms. The receptionist was very helpful with recommendations. There is also a small, private pool in the interior garden and a nice outdoor space.

The bed sheets were dirty, bed was incredibly small and uncomfortable. The room smelled of damp and the bathroom was almost unusable due to the foul smell. We returned to our property after a day out to find my toiletries had been knocked onto the toilet. The waste bin had been emptied partially, the rest thrown on the bathroom floor… Location is far from centre of Bacalar and unsafe to walk back to after dark. Highly recommend you don’t stay here.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel of Karen and her man and we had the best time. The hotel and its facilities are very nice and is cleaned everyday. Also, the location is great, near de ADO station and only 10-15 minutes walk to the main plaza. But what was really amazing was the personal attention of the personal and especially Karen. She recommended us multiple very good restaurants (the goat cheese burger at Bote de Leche was the best thing we ate in Mexico) and recommended us a boat trip organization where we had the best day ever. She even dropped us off and picked us up there. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff! They’ve helped us a lot - within the hotel and outside! The rooms were clean, good water pressure in the showers, large clean towels, good air-con, nice swimming area, all high standards!

The hosts are lovely and help you with trips out and laundry. The location seems a little out of town, but it is just a few minutes walk to the lagoon front with lots of lovely bars, cafes and restaurants. Rooms are nice and are cleaned daily
