Beautiful property with an immaculate garden! Property owners were a delight to deal with and very accommodating with our specific requests. We travel to Benalla regularly for track days and will definitely stay again

Beautiful and clean house, had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable time away from home. Shops are just a short distance walk or drive and the proximity to the lake makes the house a real peaceful spot to relax.

This is a spacious home with a host who is responsive and makes generous provision of essentials. Evenings on the deck were delightful, there is an indoor adult ‘get away’ space and generous bedrooms. Stayz describes the pool as ‘communal’ but it is in fact a public pool within a short walk.

This is a great property for a group of friends or larger family. The house is spacious with great garden (and lake) views from most rooms. The open fire really heats the living areas well. We particularly enjoyed the gardens and many different places to sit and enjoy then, either from the from the front verandah, back verandah or in the garden. Perfect spot for idling away a nice afternoon with a glass of wine and chatting with friends. The property is well positioned for a morning walk around the lake or a short walk to the main street for brunch or a browse around the shops. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous house and garden and spotless throughout! Elizabeth is a lovely and attentive host. The surrounding areas are breathtaking. Highly recommend going to Mount Wombat lookout. Also try The Northo Pub in Benalla for a wonderful meal. Highly recommended this property

We had a very lovely time at the house in Benalla. Perfectly located, so close to the main area, beautiful Edna Walling garden and the house was well equipped. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

The house amazing, 12 foot ceilings, big beautiful windows. There was enough room for everyone to spread out! I never wanted to leave. The house backs on to the lake and we all walked every morning. Will return.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. It's worth the trip to Benalla just to stay in this house and enjoy the amazing Edna Walling Garden. The house is very well appointed and had just about everything we needed for our stay. My only observation would be that the weekend we stayed, it was very cold in the North East and we exhausted the supplied firewood on the first night. A little more would have been great. Thank you.

We visited Benalla for my Mother's 80th Birthday. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home for our short break. The gardens were wonderful, excellent for my young grandchildren to play hide and seek, adventures abound for the little ones. For the grown ups, there was enough room for us all to have our own quiet space and to have an evening in front of the fire. Would most definitely request another stay. A perfect weekend. Thank you for allowing us to share our experience.

A very relaxing few days was spent at the Lake house with our group of 9.The home was very welcoming & extremely comfortable.. The location was perfect and the surrounding gardens magnificent.All that Benalla had to offer was close by & enjoyable. We would highly recommend the Lake house to our friends. John & Maureen .

The Lake House was the perfect place for my family to use as a home base for my son's wedding in Benalla. With five bedrooms, we all had our own space. In the mornings, we'd have our coffees in the sun room, listening to the birds and gazing out at the beautiful garden. And with the large dining and living areas, we were able to have the bride's family over for a wonderful meal before the big day. Glasses, cutlery, dishes, serving pieces, a large refrigerator . . . we lacked for nothing. As if that wasn't enough, the house is in a wonderful location. We went for strolls around the lake, we found delightful cafes in town, the Art Gallery was just across the water and it was all withing walking distance. Throughout our entire stay, every person in our family and the bride's family kept commenting that we couldn't have chosen a more perfect house for our very special weekend. Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. I can't thank her enough! If I could have given the Lake House ten stars, I gladly would have!

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Lake House Benalla. It's a beautiful house in an excellent location. It was perfect for our small 'planning retreat', with ample space for us to work and relax. Hoping we can return next year.

We are so grateful to Liz and Tal for opening the door to this gorgeous property. With an historic past, the property had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing week away. Sitting adjacent to Benalla lake, it was lovely to take our dog for a walk and enjoy a coffee and breakfast at one of the many cafes and bakeries in town. Our four kids loved having their own rooms and the open fire was a hit with my wife and I. Nothing better than enjoying a bottle of local shiraz in front of an open fire. The garden looked gorgeous, so I'm hoping we can go back and visit in the summertime.
