Had a lovely short break here with our dog, cannot fault the property, very well equipped and comfortable with a lovely enclosed Court yard so felt safe for the dog. Lovely area with great walks nearby. Highly recommend

Really clean, really comfortable and a lovely sun trap courtyard. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Complimentary toiletries and robes were a welcome bonus. Great location in the centre of the conservation area with easy access to the lovely independent shops on the High Street. Best chippy and pub are 2 minutes walk away. Excellent communications with host Pippa and early check in was so helpful. We coughed up for parking in the Union Road car park as it was so convenient and just added daily rate £8 to the cost of the holiday. We love Deal and we will be back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cosy, characterful cottage. It was very comfortable, clean and ideally located right in the centre of Deal, just a few minutes walk from both shops and beach. We loved the little extras - lovely welcome basket, dressing gowns and slippers. A lovely place for a relaxing break.

The cottage was lovely. It was close to the town and to sea front. There was plenty of space and everything we needed. Extras such as jam and teabags and dressing gowns and slippers added a splash of luxury. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts as they arranged an extra days stay. The log/coal fire was great. Plenty of plates and items in the kitchen. Towels for the beach. No problem finding places to park both in the long stay car park and free spaces in the sea front. We will definitely stay again. A lovely cottage.

Location, location, location! Such a superb spot, 1 minute from the beach and 1 minute from the high street. The accommodation was lovely, we had the best stocked welcome basket of jams and biscuits we'd ever seen. It was really comfy with a secure back yard. We'd love to go back!

We really enjoyed our time here. The cottage is close to the sea and all the great shops on the high street. It’s in the historic part of Deal. All v clean and well equipped. We were grateful for the basket of biscuits and jams and the Nespresso coffee. There is a sweet little terrace too. Our only issue was that we would personally have liked a firmer mattress in the main bedroom. But all in all perfect for a couple of fun days in Deal. .

The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was very well equipped with everything you needed for a home from home stay. The garden was a fantastic suntrap with dining furniture and bbq. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable. Would recommend a stay here .

This is a lovely, well equipped cottage walking distance to the beach and town.

We had a great weekend in this cosy cottage. Fantastic facilities. Very central. Could walk everywhere. Loved the extras including teas and jams and wood for the fire. Throughly recommend!

We really have no complaints. Everything was better than we expected. Because of our great experience, we will be visiting the area again!

The cottage is cosy, tasteful and well equipped.Also the owners provided a lovely hamper of jams/tea/coffee.It is really easy to find from the train station and only a minute from the sea.Would definitely recommend

This extremely well equipped cottage is beautifully decorated and extremely cosy. Would be a lovely place to cosy-up in the winter months with the log fire and blankets and in the summer, when we stayed, the beach is a minute away and strolling around the town is a joy. Recommended!

Lovely cottage in an ideal location.

We loved the cottage, it is cosy and comfortable, very clean and very well equipped. We really liked being right in the heart of the conservation area, with its interesting cottages and a strong sense of history, but close to all amenities.

A beautifully appointed cottage in an excellent location in the preservation area. Everything we needed was to hand. It was the ideal choice for us.

What a lovely place to stay. Dragon Cottage was perfect for our winter break in Deal. So well located near the seafront, shops and restaurants. The cottage itself is lovely. Well equipped and cosy. Loved the kitchen and enjoyed some happy mealtimes at the table with a glass or two of wine. The living room has a real fire which we enjoyed lighting once or twice as in February with it being a tad cold, we couldn’t resist it, wonderful! Upstairs the bedroom was again well equipped and what a cosy bed! It was hard to get up in the mornings but the delights of Deal just about won out. So many lovely touches such as a welcome hamper with biscuits, tea, coffee jams, marmalade and my favourite MARMITE. Towel bathrobes, shower gel and shampoos. Ice cubes already prepared in the large fridge freezer. A bit cold for us to stay out in but we imagine the little courtyard garden with table and chairs will be great in the summer season. We visited the busy high street, bought some lovely food from the deli and the Saturday market. The walk into Walmer was good as we had sunshine every day of our stay. We had a great curry at Dine India and really like The Bohemian pub. The cafe at the end of the pier sells the most amazing scotch eggs. We have had a wonderful time in Dragon Cottage, we will return...it’s a done DEAL!

The house is lovely with a number of thoughtful touches for guests, incredibly comfortable beds and cozy kitchen and den. Location is wonderful for exploring historic Deal and easy drive to both Canterbury and Dover. Had a wonderful stay and hope to be back someday!

We have thoroughly enjoyed staying in the cottage. All very clean, very cosy and for us Germans it is a true cottage from olden days. The town Deal has still got the true English touch one looks out for in an oldish town. We have had a lovely holiday and can strongly recommend Dragon Cottage.

Lovely house, nicely decorated, kitchen equipment good apart from the ill fitting waste bin lid. Beds comfortable & nice area outside for sitting.

We loved staying at Dragon Cottage and was very sad to leave it. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay extremely comfortable, including making the sun shine! Parking up the beach front was no problem at all and we were easily able to unload (and reload) out front of the cottage. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and got to do some lovely walks directly from the cottage. Joining English Heriage is a must before you go as Deal, Walmer and (20 mins down the road) Dover Castle are all part of that group. Plenty of shops, restaurants and two big supermarkets in a very short distance from the cottage oh and a chip shop almost opposite! A big thank you to the owners for sharing their cottage!

The word amazing doesn’t quite cover Dragon Cottage. The cottage itself is stunning and immaculate and the attention to detail that the owners add is something else. We stayed over New Year so the cottage had the Christmas decorations up, it’s clear a lot of thought had gone into those. The cottage has everything you need, the kitchen is fully equipped as are the toiletries in the bathroom. And an amazing array of books to choose from too. Two things I like to be spot on whilst I’m away is a restful nights sleep and a decent shower, the cottage ticked both those boxes. The double bed was comfy and the shower has plenty of umpf. We had a power cut whilst there (someone cut through a cable in the road) we spoke to Simon who couldn’t have been more helpful and apologetic - these things happen. For us it made for the perfect evening. We lit the fire and opened a bottle of wine. The cottage is perfectly located at in Deal, with great walks along the seafront in both directions and a high street just a short walk away. I cannot rave enough about Dragon Cottage, we will definitely be returning. I have fallen in love with Deal and the cottage. Thank you Pippa and Simon for making this cottage a fantastic place to stay.
