The room was very spacious and quiet. We would have preferred a non-connecting room as for a short time we could hear someone talking on their phone! The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean with a great shower. Location is in smaller Basel so 20 minute walk to old town.

On our second day we took a slow day and did not out into Basel until 2pm. When we returned our room had not been serviced (?).

For such an expensive hotel, you expect that they offer slippers. When requested, they said they will bring them to my room.

The hotel is quiet, modern and clean. Excellent location (close to the airport, city centre and shops) with amazing transport links and we have also been given free travel cards to go around from the hotel. Staff is very polite and welcoming and tending to your needs immediately.

We weren’t given any slippers to be able to go down to the sauna. We asked for them and we were told that they have none left. The air conditioning wasn’t working and the room was very cold. We stayed from Friday to Tuesday and on Saturday we raised the problem and we’re given a halogen heater which did the job but was quite noisy. They apologised and said that unfortunately they are unable to do anything until Monday. For such a well known chain of hotels and the money we paid they should have someone always available to fix this sort of things. If the water would have been affected then you can’t say to the guests that they will have no hot water. Also when we arrived there was a security deposit that they held 400CHF and we were told they would refund the amount at the end of the stay. That was not a problem for me but the explanation was wrongfully given as what happened is that they just put a lock on the money and then only debited the amount of the final invoice which included room service and some drinks that we had at the hotel. Also for who wants to travel please note that the hotel charge will be additional to your initial cost and that it will be applied for each day of accommodation.

nobody help on unloading bags from the car then no garage or parking facilities was told to drive my car to a local multi-storey parking mote then 500 meters away from the hotel with no stairs or lifts

after all the above problems had to wait approx 15 minutes to get serve by a missing bar staff
