Parents, daughters and son in laws plus 2 babies under 1 all loved our holiday villa. Spacious, well equipped, comfortable furnishings especially beds! Good supply of items from sun loungers to glasses. Pool wonderful as were the sea views. Private space and not overlooked or crowded in. Beach with 2 restaurants just a short walk away. For those who like walking the cliff path walk to Praia de luz is beautiful. Definitely found a great villa and would recommend.

My wife and son spent 11 days again at this property this year and cannot express how wonderful it is. It is close enough to Lagos to be convenient but far enough to be insulated from the crowds. Short walk to the beach or wonderful place to spend relaxing vacation. Thank you Jo and Jim for sharing your home with us. Coming back next year.

Great hosts, fully equipped villa, beds were comfy. Nice local beach with great value restaurants and fab supermarket to get all you need for the barbecue.

The VRBO owners and manager were excellent to work with - the property is well appointed and the kitchen very user friendly with many valuable kitchen tools and options- we stayed 4 weeks and learned how to enjoy Portugal and its golf options

This villa is definitely a home away from home. Just 4 euros into the centre of Lagos. Very good/ quick response from the villa owner. Would definitely like to return.

The property is stylish and well laid out for a large family gathering. Plenty of outside space and well positioned for the beach. We were three generations and the young and not so young enjoyed the villa hugely.

This property truly is spectacular. Its location and amenities are outstanding. Very comfortable beds, great kitchen, great pool and back yard for my 6year old to play in made this a wonderful home away from home. The views of the Porto de Mos beach and of ponta da piedade are breathtaking. We will be back.

The accommodations were even better in person than depicted in the photographs on the site. The kitchen was very well appointed. The towels provided for both the bathrooms and beach were of a high quality. Two very good restaurants on the water in close proximity( about a 5 min walk). The grocery store was a short drive and had everything you could want including a huge wine selection. Great shopping in the town centre-5 euros by Uber one way.

We had a wonderful week and can honestly recommend this property. Form the booking until the departure everything was perfect. The house is modern, well maintained and equipped, spacious, quite and with wonderful views, exactly as described . We would have liked to stay longer.

Really lovely villa with 3 bathrooms/ensuites, really comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. Really appreciated the gas bbq which we used a lot. The pool is quite small but was fine and there is lots of space to sunbathe and enough sun beds and shade for everyone. It’s just a 5 minute walk to the beach and about 30 minute walk into Lagos which we did a few times for dinner. Jo the villa owner was really helpful both before and after the holiday. Thanks

Beautiful views, lots of space inside and a very well equipped kitchen. Everything worked and was clean and tidy. Beds were extremely comfortable. Great luxury villa and well worth the money.

Well equipped villa in a wonderful position. It suited our three generation family very well and Jo was a pleasure to deal with right from the start.

The villa is spacious, clean, quiet, the beds are comfortable. and the kitchen has everything that you need (new coffee maker). Only observation: the fridge seemed to us to not keep items very cold. May just need an adjustment that we didn't discover how to make. Freezer works fine. The location is ideal, being secure, on a low travel street with ready access to grocery stores, and a variety of restaurants. For those who love to hike, hiking trails run along the coast just in front of the property, and most important, the beach just a few steps away. Of course it comes with a tremendous view. Dina our host was helpful when needed but not obtrusive. It was just what we hoped it would be! Eight happy travelers.

The description of this villa could be accurate but constant use has had an impact. The location is great near beaches and services and a 35 min walk to board walk of Lagos. The villa when we arrived had just been cleaned but not to the level that we have come to expect from previous rentals. It just looks a bit tired, and numerous things were in need of TLC. It would be easy to bring villa back to a five star performer. Bill

Everybody had a great time overall. A few technical problems with shutter broken in one of bedroom and downstairs toilet hand basin broken and small leak..

Great Villa, booking and and check in process was really straight forward. The photographs are a true reflection of the quality and standard of the villa and its situated in a fantastic spot overlooking the sea which you can never tire of waking up to.

The views of the ocean and cliffs are amazing. Jo, the owner was very responsive to our questions ahead of time. Dina, the manager, met us on arrival, and was very helpful showing us around the house and then showing us how to get to the grocery store. She was also very helpful later when we needed recommendations on stores and a pharmacy. Loved the proximity to the beach and local restaurants. Enjoyed the pool every day after the beach. Appreciated the French doors from the foyer to the living room and dining room so that those that were up did not disturb those trying to sleep. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Spectacular gem situated high above the cliffs in Lagos. We recently returned from our week long stay here wishing it was much longer. After travelling to various other parts of Spain and Portugal eating out at restaurants every night this stunning villa was such a welcome relief. We were greeted by Dina the property manager after calling her from the airport upon our arrival. Everything was immaculate ( warning .. patio doors are so clean you may think they are open :). The villa is very spacious , comfortable and the outdoor patio & pool were fabulous. We did rent a car from the airport in Faro which made it easy to grab groceries only five minutes away. Walking on the beach only five minutes walk each day, and hiking the trails were a special bonus. I was in contact with the owner Jo Thomson several times prior to our trip coordinating details regarding our group. Jo responded promptly and was a pleasure to deal with. One night we needed extra bath towels and linen for the forth couple who joined us. Dina delivered them very promptly. What more can one say about the perfect place to stay in Lagos! Our entire group were blown away by this villa, the views and the amazing time spent there. We look forward to coming back to this special gem!

The location of this villa is what attracted us and the luxury it offered was a real treat. The whole holiday went very smoothly. We were met on arrival by Dina and everything in the villa was as described. The whole villa had a very luxurious but also homely feel. The surrounding area is presently being developed but we found it very quiet and felt safe. Upstairs are two luxurious en-suite bedrooms. Downstairs is a smaller Queen Size bedroom looking out to the front of the house which shares a bathroom with the ground floor twin bedroom which looks over the pool. The upstairs bedrooms share a large balcony over the sea with steps down to the garden. All the beds were extremely comfortable. There are two very good restaurants on the beach which is 5 minutes walk away. We walked along the cliff path in both directions ( to Lagos and Luz) and our daughter on an early morning run saw dolphins following the fishing boats in. From the local beach you could hire kayaks, SUP boards and pedalos and there were many companies running boat and kayak trips from Lagos Marina. Lagos is a short drive away which has a fascinating history and no shortage of restaurants. We enjoyed also driving out to the West Coast and into the mountains which is very easy given the location of the villa. We fully recommend this villa and hope to holiday there again .

What can you say:- Jo & Jim, you have an amazing villa in a quite outstanding location and from the moment we stepped into it we felt relaxed and completely at home, so much so that most evenings were spent with the family taking in the views and having barbecues on the terrace by the pool. The proximity to the beach is ideal for families of all ages and a welcome Mojito at the beach bar, (Camp De Mar), before the walk back up to the villa is highly recommended. We have just spent ten days at this lovely villa. It lived up to the description and photos and was in a prime position overlooking the sea and the beach. We were greeted by Dina who was knowledgable about the area and on hand for any issues (although we had none!). The villa is nicely furnished, well equipped and in a prime location close to the beach. It is within easy access of a local supermarket and Lagos Marina where there are several good restaurants. There are also two restaurants on the local beach. The owner Jo was a pleasure to deal with and always very quick with a response to any queries we had. We will not hesitate to return and thanks Jo - you have a lovely villa!

We had the pleasure of staying at this villa with our son & his wife, daughter & partner along with our two young granddaughters for a week mid-May to celebrate my 65th, and were delighted with both the spaciousness, cleanliness and the quality of the villa, as well as its peaceful and stunning location. First impressions on going into the large entrance hall with its granite/marble staircase were that we’d chosen very well. Things just got better & better as we were shown around the rest of the rooms and bedrooms by the very helpful Dina, all of which are furnished and soft furnished to a lovely and impressive standard. The pool area & outdoor eating areas kept up the theme with comfy & clean cushions on the sun loungers & chairs, and, thanks to the design of the neighbouring villas, this villa enjoys excellent peaceful privacy. A short stroll took us down to the spectacular golden sands and the 2 very acceptable beach bars where we frequently visited for either lunch or dinner when not venturing out or barbecuing. The InterMarche supermarket is only a couple of minutes drive away and offers extensive and quality choice, with plenty other decent supermarkets slightly further towards Lagos. When we ventured into Lagos or the marina on an evening we used the convenient local bus service from just by the beach bar which is a regular hourly service and runs until around 11.30 pm, although it was almost as cheap for the 8 of us to get one of the minibus taxis back for 8 euros, so guess that pro-rata the saloon type taxis for 4 are only around 4 euros. Ours was a last minute booking having been badly let down by another villa owner 10 days before our trip, but, with hindsight, they did us a real favour as we couldn’t have wished for better owners to deal with than Jo & Jim who were so helpful, efficient and genuinely pleasant.

Jo and Jim, thank you. The villa exceeded our expectations by a large margin. The website photos, although accurate, do not do the villa justice. The realisation when we arrived was like kids in a toy shop! As we went from room to room, and there's a lot of them, we took in the superb quality and very high level of furnishings and fittings. Dina met us on schedule and showed us around. We were impressed with the standard of cleanliness and shear opulence. We are sure that to find another villa of this high standard would be very difficult. Upon seeing the patio, pool and ocean views our breath was taken away. We spent many an hour just taking it all in. Each evening the little fishing boats appeared, complete with lighting to attract the fish, and then one by one went back to port full of squid etc. Down on the beach is a fabulous daytime cafe and evening meal venue with a superb menu and good pricing, it's called Antonio's. You've got to give them a visit. Overall a beautiful villa that is worth every penny and is a credit to the owners, Jo and Jim.

The house was fantastic. Great location - short downhill walk to the beach (less than 5 min). Unobstructed views of the ocean from the cliff. Great running/walking trail that runs along the cliff in front of the house. Close to grocery shopping and town but having a car is highly suggested. The owner and house manager were both wonderful to deal with. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. If we go back to Portugal, we would stay here again.
