Lovely place to stay

We had a great stay in Little Beck and I would recommend this property, it is very comfortable well equipped holiday home

We found this cottage ideally situated. The house was spacious (even larger than it appears on the pictures), extremely well equipped and incredibly comfortable. We loved our stay. The cottage is within easy reach of lovely coastlines, beautiful villages with great pubs, the incredible Dartmoor National Park and lots of great activities. We particularly enjoyed Hay Tor, the Paignton to Dartmouth steam train, Canonteign and Splashdown Aqua Park. Devon offers so much whatever the weather. We would love to visit this part of the country and this beautiful cottage again. We miss it already

We had a lovely week at the cottage, and it was even more beautiful than in the pictures. Very clean with everything we needed to feel like at home. Nice and quiet area and the pub is just a few minutes walk. We highly recommend this cottage.

A lovely break to Christow with family. Quiet location and beautiful house to stay in. Playing fields and skate park opposite was a big hit with the kids. Would recommend to couples or families.

Such a perfect home for our family. We came from California for winter vacation. We wanted to stay close to Dartmoor. The location allowed us quick access. Christow is a such a sweet little town.The home was exactly as represented in the photos, even a sweet Christmas tree for the season. Beyond clean, great quality with the furniture, the linens and the biggest towels I have ever had in England. I am so excited that we chose this location out of the several we had thought about. Perfectly adequate

Perfect for our wedding celebration weekend with a very thoughtful and considerate owner.

On arrival we were very impressed with the high standard of cleanliness. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. The standard of fixtures and fittings , furniture and soft furnishings is very high. The cottage is decorated in such a way as to make it feel cosy and homely. The location was perfect for us to visit our family in Exeter and Kingsteignton and to explore the beautiful area. Will will definitely book again.

As we were attending a family wedding with our two grown up sons we spent little time in the house however, it afforded us a comfortable night’s rest and we enjoyed our breakfasts together. The village is very quiet and peaceful and the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

We have just spent a week at Little Beck, this being our first visit to Devon. The cottage is lovely - very clean, comfortable and cosy with everything the 3 of us (plus our dog) needed for our visit. The cream tea left for our arrival was well received! We had a superb week of good weather and found Christow a good base to explore the local area and some of the south Devon coast. We would definitely come back here if we holidayed in this area again.

Lovely peaceful village. Comfortable modern house. Unfortunately a strong smell of heating oil in the downstairs of the property during our weeks holiday. This was not resolved but the end of our stay.

Would do a little more research on local facilities. Example taxi availability. One single journey from cannonteighn falls whilst at 11pm cost £42. Property excellent.

We stayed at Little Beck for a few days whilst arranging and attending our daughter's wedding at Cantoneign Falls. The property was perfect for our needs. Beautifully presented with every mod con. Michelle was exceptionally helpful with our needs and thoughtfully left some lovely goodies. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Enjoyed staying here with dogs and children. Lovely walks round the reservoir, good pub in walking distance and easy access to Exeter and the coast

The owners did not skimp on anything. Very comfortable place to stay - great kitchen and bathrooms!

Just back from a fantastic week at Little Beck. The house is so comfortable, we felt at home in the first five minutes and loved the welcoming cream tea. We are a family of five and one dog and had plenty of room. Everything was incredibly clean, couldn't find fault with the house at all. The playing field just a few steps away was a massive bonus for the children and the dog. We found plenty of local attractions to explore and really could have done with a couple more days at the end to squeeze it all in. We will just have to go back!

Little Beck is a wonderful home to use as a base for a week away. It is our first time of renting a cottage rather than using a b&b or hotel and I'm so glad we did. We have 2 young children (23 months and 12 weeks), our eldest loved having another house to explore, the 'owl' coasters were a big hit! When we arrived at the property the stair gate was missing but Mark quickly provided a replacement which was a wonderful relief as it was my sons first time in a twin bed. After busy days exploring Devon and entertaining the children, my husband and I were able to completely relax on an evening. There's a well equipped kitchen, really comfy beds and a safe garden for the children to play in. Christow is a lovely and very friendly village and is the perfect place to explore the rest of Devon. The local pub serves good meals and real ales, and the local shop provides organic produce and fresh baking. Certainly a place we will be happy to return to.

Had a lovely 2 week stay at this property. Very well appointed, clean, smart and comfortable. Very handy for visiting the whole area of SE Devon including Dartmoor, the coastline, local towns such as Totnes and also Exeter. Village is very pretty, extremely quiet and the locals are pleasant. We recommend The Artichoke for a drink and the shop stocks the basics. Large supermarket nearby in Kingsteignton for a bigger food shop.
