Very clean, modern, spacious. Extra bathroom was a treat, shower was very good. Fun to be so up high in the hills and watch the day begin and the city lights at night.

Though the views from the windows are lovely, the house is positioned so the big windows in the living room and bedroom face the back. Be prepared for views from smaller windows--best views when standing up. Just a surprise for us based on other reviews.

Large property with excellent garden and swimming pool, very quiet village, with great viewpoints. The host gave us some fruits from the garden. Large rooms, all new and clean.

Warning: you have to bring all the food with you. It seems that there are no restaurants or grocery shops in the village. Also: when driving in the village, follow the signs on the walls to the hotel, Google maps leads to a very narrow street with uncomfortable turns.

the place is really beautiful. The view to the Douro Valley is amazing. The villa is quite new, simply but well furnished, the garden is well thought, it gives you really a very pleasant feeling to arrive to the villa. the lady who takes care of the house is very nice, I don’t know though if she speaks English. the driving up to the villa is a bit difficult but nothing impossible, just be aware. As mentioned in other reviews buy your grocery in some bigger village close buy. We really liked the place, very is definitely something special about it and definitely we would like to come back.

Everything! It is a huge place, equipped with all you may need for a long stay. There's a view on a river, a pool, and lots of space outside to play with the kids. The location is perfect IMHO - less than 15 minutes drive from Pinhao, a small, quiet village. Close enough to the center, and far enough from the crowds. The host was very helpful and assisted with everything. Definitely one of the best places I've stayed with the highest value for money. Just perfect - highly recommend!

Wi-Fi wasn’t working but the owner tried to help with the reset and found out it was due to the issue with network provider.

OMG, everything was perfect! The casa is spacious, gorgeous, extremely clean, amazingly comfortable, and the view on the Douro Valley is breathtaking!

This was our second time here and hope there will be many more! Perfect gateway for a couple or family, beautiful house and garden, and pool ! Absolutely wonderful house manager Paula and her husband, thank you again! The village is small and provides an opportunity to meet local people, the daily delivery of bread at the door is wonderful arrangement! For larger groceries shopping stop at the neighboring towns before accessing Douro de Valenca.

Everything was just perfect!

This villa is one of those gems that you rarely come across. The villa is beautifully designed & furnished, facilities are outstanding and as for the views of the Douro valley: just wow! Sadly we only stayed one night and therefore didn’t fully benefit from time in the lovely pool but there is no doubt that we’ll go back and stay longer another time. Private, off-street parking was also a plus as was Paula who greeted us on our arrival. It made a real difference to have such a welcoming, warm and friendly host!

We should have done our research beforehand but once you reach the villa on the hill top there are no shops, restaurants etc so you definitely need to shop for provisions before you arrive. The drive up the hill was quite tricky (2-seater sports car with low ground clearance) and we ended up scraping the ground a few times.
