This place is a true gem in the idyllic old town of Mainz. We made the booking and arrived late in the night by a coincidence, after our car had broke down on our way from Helsinki, Finland to Torrevieja, Spain. In the morning we woke up to the birds singing and had a lovely breakfast. The hotel personnel was so kind, especially the lovely Maria who helped us find a car service to fix the problem, made phone calls for us in German and stayed with us when we needed an interpreter with the service guys and towing car driver by the street. Without her we would have been completely clueless in a foreign country. Thank you so much, Maria, you are an angel <3 We warmly recommend Landhotel Battenheimer Hof to anyone travelling in Germany. The whole reception personnel is very helpful, friendly and speaks excellent English!

Nice old hotel with modern bathroom, perfect window view

Great location, about 10 minutes by train from Mainz. Easy access to the Rhineland-Pfalz area. Ideal for wine tasting! The food is excellent, one of the reasons for choosing this place.

It would have been nice to have coffee/tea making facilities and a mini fridge in the room.

The reception was very nice willing and helpful!
