Had a great stay here, and the property manager was super responsive any time we had a request. Blender broken? Boom! One showed up on our doorstep a few hours later. The house is in short walking distance to a mid-sized grocery store and an outdoor bar. There is a lot of construction going on in Maya Beach, including the house right next door to this one, but we knew that when we booked (January 2024). Looks like they're nearing the end, though, so in a few months that shouldn't be an issue.

The house next store was under construction and all the days of the stay there were jackhammers, saws, and compressors running. Also a lot of hammering and shouting all day.This could be heard throughout the house and on the beach so there was no relaxing at the house. To top it off there were dogs barking all night. The owner should disclose more than there is some construction next store.This was not a relaxing stay and not what you would expect for a beach front property at this price. Very disappointed

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very pretty, clean and well kept. Herbert was great about answering all the questions we had, he gave great detail and helped us out a lot. He left plenty of recommendations for trips and restaurants that were all great places. We had an amazing time.

Great location, very nice house, excellent vacation. Most everything in good condition though a few tired items around the pool. Be sure to visit the baker across the street!

Where to begin? The pool, the ocean view and breeze - amazing. Beautiful spacious home with SO many amenities. You will never run out of towels or kitchen items - well stocked. The property manager was professional and friendly and very responsive. Safe environment with home security. Near great restaurants and very close to the heart of Placencia. This was our second trip to the area, we love it so much.

The location of Maya Beach is probably where we would stay again knowing the pennisula now. The home is amazing and spread out so nicely for our group of 5. We even grabbed a movie and dinner with our amazing neighbors and were able to enter the water from their entrance that was more accesible to the water. We are VERY happy with the home and experience! Tip wear water shoes got a little crab that clamped down on my toe.... Having coffee in that seaside cabana was LIFE and the private pool was SO entertaining for all of us! Thank you!!

House was spotless, communication with rental manager was excellent before, during and after. A great spot right on the water, beautifully landscaped and had lots of extras in the house (plenty of linens, starter coffee set up, great TV instructions). Had a great stay!

This is a wonderful property in a phenomenal place/location. We were super thrilled at how easy it was to prep for the trip, stay during the trip and check out. The property manager was extremely fast to respond and so very helpful with giving us suggestions. The house is fantastic, very clean, very nice amenities. We will be back.

This house was the perfect base for our visit to Placencia - within driving distance of both Placencia and spots north (highly recommend an ATV tour at Mayan Sky!) and after several days in a resort setting, the privacy and space to ‘spread out’ was excellent. House was clean and well stocked, pool and access to the beach was great, beautiful stormy skies and lots of stars at night. Host is very on top of things, communication is clear and friendly, and house has an extra security system if desired. Def would recommend.

Amazing launching point for a Placencia and Stann Creek experience. Great communication, excellent property manager, everything as described and just lovely. Fantastic neighbors, as well (Syx and Coco). 10/10 would rent again

Marly's Place is our go-to in Placencia. It is well-designed, well-outfitted, and just an extraordinarily pleasant place to relax and recharge. The rooms are large and spacious, with plenty of counter and closet space. There's a spot for everyone to enjoy: a comfy couch in the AC, soft beds for an afternoon nap, chaise lounges by the pool on the sun deck, rafts to float in the sea, adirondacks on the breezy shaded veranda, the hammock in the beach palapa... take your pick! The kitchen is equipped with enough pots, pans, utensils, etc, that you can actualy make a dinner meal; the dishwasher, large fridge and washer and dryer are appreciated (as anyone with kids will agree, these are crtical for parental enjoyment of any trip!). The supply of linens, towels and basics was more than ample, and property manager was a delight to work with - prompt, informative, and helpful replies to all my queries. The pool was well-maintained, and kept its clear water even after a few evening thunderstorms and regular use. The beach has a mix of sand and seagrass, with very gentle waves and shallow water. Sargassam was present a few days of our stay, but there aren't many places along the coast where you can aviod it when it flairs. In June of 2022, the property to the south was an undeveloped lot for sale, with a old pier in the sea - a bit rickty, but a nice place for my kids to fish from - and to the north are friendly and fairly quiet neighbors who live in Belize full-time. If this is your first time to this part of Belize, note that Marly's is a 20-minute drive (by car, not golf cart!) from Placenica town but just a few minutes from the restaurants in Maya Beach.

The property and home are more beautiful than what is portrayed in the online pictures. There is such a beautiful view off the back of the house and it was very private. We enjoyed the pool every day and hammock. We loved the privacy here and felt so comfortable and relaxed. Herbert was very responsive to our inquiries before we arrived as well as when we arrived. We rented a car and would definitely recommend that as opposed to renting a golf cart. This was our first trip to Belize and my daughter is already asking if we can return next year. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

This was our second trip to the Placencia area of Belize. We were looking for a home in Maya Beach as we enjoyed that area on our previous stay. We selected Marly's Place since it was within walking distance of a grocery store and one of the best restaurants we had found in the Placencia area located at the Maya Beach Resort. Herbert was a great host answering all of our questions prior to arrival and provided a smooth contactless entry process to access the home. Marly's Place is well equipped, has a great pool, and the furnishings, including beds, were clean and very comfortable. I would very much recommend this property to a family of four or two couples traveling together.

Having private access to the pool and the gate for the beach made us feel very safe. Walking out each morning to the sweet smell of the perfectly manicured tropical landscaping they had done was fantastic. the plans were perfectly positioned to keep the winds from getting too high on the porch, with just enough breeze to make it comfortable and keep the bugs away. It was little bit of a drive outside of Placencia, about 25 mins by golf cart, but very reasonable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Herbert the property manager was incredibly helpful and responsive. We could not have asked for a better host.

We had a wonderful time at this property! The sunrises are beautiful! There isn’t much around so make sure you try and do shopping prior to arriving on the peninsula. There are so many beautiful restaurants in the area as well. The home was very clean when we arrived and well appointed. We would love to go back!

This is a beautiful home right on the beach with built in pool. Very quite and nice neighborhood, with very friendly neighbors. We really enjoyed our vacation!!

The property was perfect for our family of 4 including two children. The house was very nicely appointed and clean. Herbert was was easy to reach and was able to recommend excellent tour guides, restaurants, and activities. We would love to have the opportunity to stay at Marly’s Place again.

We, family of 4 (teens 13 and 15) stayed 5 nights at this lovely home. What was most striking was how clean it was and also the unprecedented attentiveness and quick responses of Herbert!! He was perfectly available. The pool was so lovely. We spent much time in it during the afternoons. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could need. Lots of towels and linens available. Lots of restaurants/bars close by. About a 20 minute drive to the Village of Placencia. Would recommend a car rather than golf cart if you plan to go there often (more restaurants and shops). Although taxis are available and tours will pick you up at the house if needed. We would stay here again.

We love everything about the property, very clean and welcoming. Fully equipped and the pictures don’t capture how bright and airy the space is. Will definitely be staying again. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful house.
