Bob's house in Perla Marina was the perfect location for our family vacation to Cabarete. Perla Marina is a closed neighborhood that is private, quiet, and very pretty. It is also only about a 5 minute drive to Cabarete and 10 minutes to grocery stores in Sosua. There is a small, nice beach in the neighborhood. It's not great for swimming, but other bigger beaches are within a short drive. The house was spacious and comfortable for seven of us. We loved relaxing on the back patio and by the pool. We will definitely try to return!

We loved our stay at this property - great comfy beds and air-conditioning made sure we slept like babies - good showers (feels great after the beach) - beautiful outdoor area with clean pool - great communication of manager and owner - the gated neighborhood felt safe - only a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen would recommend highly!!!

I have stayed in Bob’s Villa many times and each time there are beautiful improvements! The bedding, towels bathroom and kitchen always clean. The washer and dryer new. The beach within a 5 minute walk, just stunning! I’ve always felt safe walking there at night to watch the sunset and grab a bite or beverage at Natura Cabana! I’ve come to love this piece of paradise. Bob and Jose always quick to respond to my questions or concerns! I will be back and thank you mi amigos❤️

My husband and I rented Bob's house for 3 months. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and comfortable and the covered outdoor eating/sitting/BBQ area and pool are lovely. Having use of a cooler and the beach chairs were a nice treat. Bob and his property manager, Jose, were very responsive to any questions and/or concerns. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location, close to everything me and my family of 5 needed. Very nice and spacious house.

The place itself is clean and beautiful, but it needs to have its own backed up generator. It seems that the villa gets its electricity only through the state electrical grid. as a result, almost every day of my stay I spent a good portion of the day without electricity

We just left today after we spent two weeks in this beautiful villa for our vacation. We really enjoyed everything including the location and security. It is a small gated community, really safe. The house has everything we needed. Jose, the manager, is a local guy, very helpful . He actually organized a wonderful tour to waterfalls for our family. The local beach is nicer than it was shown on the picture , we went there several times and swam there despite on the described waves . They are way smaller than in Hawaii. We also enjoyed a little pizzeria in the community. We did several activities, and also enjoyed the beaches, with local restaurants. We definitely will come again. Thank you Robert and Jose!

Bonne villa

My family and I stayed in Bob's Villa over a week. We visit Dominican Republic on a regular, but this was our first time staying in Puerto Plata. The villa has everything needed for a long or short stay. Bob had great communication from beginning to end and Jose the Property Manager was always readily available when needed. There is a pizza parlor around the corner which we enjoyed and a small grocery store next to the pizza parlor. My family and I felt very safe in the neighborhood. There is security 24-7 which is a relief. We will definitely be visiting again, and Bob thanks you so much for such great hospitality!

The Villa was excellent and clean we will rent this Villa again next year Jose helped us out and instructing us how to operate and turn on the electric and the pool and the hot water we left the Villa clean and also wash some towels and place them in the dryer for you

The house is vey nice and accomadating. We had two adults each with our own suite and had plenty of room for more. The house is located within walking distance of Ceiba (a great restaurant) and the beach. The only negative was the construction next door. Jose the property manager was very attentive and checked in on us several times during our visit. We will definitely consider it again on our next trip.

We chose Playa Marina to get away from the noise and crowds of Sosua and Cabrete. We were not disappointed! The house is a charming place, larger on the inside than it looks. We loved the pool and the quiet neighborhood. I walked to Natura Cabana for yoga every day, which was a treat! The property manager is very helpful and kind. Communication with the owner was excellant. We liked the little things (like knives that were sharp in the kitchen, good quaility blender for smoothies, inflatables to lounge in the pool.) Thank you for a great place!

The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Jose the property manager was fantastic and very prompt. The place was beautiful, I felt safe, had parking. Less than a half mile to a beautiful and private beach. I would stay again.

I loved staying at this villa. Everything was clean and very nicely organized. I love the pool and jacuzzi especially at night when you turn on the light. Jose was very helpful and such an amazing host. Jose greeted me when I first got there and was very welcoming . I normally stay in Perla Marina in Sol De Plata which is normally quite but this was way better and alot less mosquitos lol Everything works well, stove, shower, tv, washer , dryer, refrigerator , air, which is always a plus when you go to another country. I can’t wait to go back. Extremely satisfied with my stay, I can’t stop telling my family and friends of how relaxing everything was. I stayed during the curfew just remember to adhere to the country's regulations with mask , social distancing and the curfew and you'll be fine.

Owner is not in the DR. He uses a local young guy to maintain the property, sign you in, and clean the pool. He is very nice, but does not speak English which made communication difficult. Hydro goes out from time to time. What they don't tell you is half the house still has hydro, the other half does not. Oven broke, toaster was not working properly. You have to turn water heater on if you want water - then you have to wait for it to heat up. Took a while to figure out the TV - no instructions. No number or name on the property - so not easy to find. Owner was very responsive to emails, but did not always answer the question asked. Nice secure property, easy walk to the beech. If you want to get some surf lessons, call ahead. The ones on Google I found don't actually exist. But there are several a ways down the beech.

We had an excellent trip, Jose in charge of maintenance was always helpful and had many great suggestions. We hope to visit again some day, the location was ideal right in between Sosua and Cabarete minutes walk from a beautiful beach. The villa was large and spacious great for a family or a group of friends. The garden was beautiful with large palms and coconut trees. Great pool for cooling down after a hot day on the beach. We have been coming to the Cabarete area for a winter vacation for the past 15 years. We decided to try a 'villa' rather than a hotel near 'Cabarete Center'. What a wonderful week it was. The villa is just as the pictures-located on the quiet main road "Paseo La Perla'. Closer to the beach than the main road. A very easy walk to either. There is plenty of security around. The beach is small, but a very short beach walk brings you to the Natura Cabana, Maravilla Beach-which is fantastic. So the location within Perla Marina is perfect. The home is in a small group of 4 homes. The lush landscaping gives absolute privacy. The main living area is large and comfortable. Each bedroom has its own bath. The master bedroom is very large, with a king size bed, large walk-in closet and private bath. Sliders lead to the pool. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom and two in the main living area. Rarely did we need the a/c and we LOVE to use the a/c. Not really necessary. There's a washer/dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. We cooked a few meals and used the blender for drinks. Sliders from the kitchen to the very large covered pool/patio were so convenient. The pool is much larger than it appears in the pictures. The yard is so private-with a distinct tropical feel. Bob was GREAT to deal with-quickly responded to any question. Jose was there to show us the house and he cleaned the pool, cut the grass, etc. He is usually around one of the nearby houses. There was no need to bother him...everything, and I mean everything, was perfect. So the secret is out. We are renting this villa again. Hopefully it will not be booked, but it should be. It was really great.

First thing first! Mr. Bob Marriott was promptly From reservations until l departure.. He assure me that I will love his villa, and he was right! I fell in love on site! Please allow me to Reminisce. for a moment. As I arrived at Pearl Marina the security is A1 top Knoch! I felt very, very, SAFE! the community was well guarded! The community is first Class!!! The homes there are well Maintain and Manicured.landscape. As I arrived to the Villa, I was greeted with a warm welcome from "Rhina" at the gate, and Paradise was present at that moment!!! This Villa was very private with lush tropical manicured palms and greenery. When I entered this piece of PARADISE, it was breath taken. This villa was spotless, very clean!!! The detail in this homes is incredible!! The pool is the Crown Jewel, and I enjoyed every gallon of it! The resident is in the center of everything, short taxi drives to stores,shops, next to all the beaches. I must say this was the Best vacation so far! Thank You!!! Bob for allow me to stay in your piece of Paradise. I will be returning soon!!!

absolutely beautiful week. house and pool were great. neighborhood was quite pleasant and everyone was friendly, including the security. felt very safe. beach was breathtaking and so much fun, playing in the water and watching the sunsets. couldn't have asked for a better week. will hopefully return. thank you. the greaves family
