This was our second stay here. It was just as cozy, comfortable and relaxing as the first time. Loved seeing the deer in the yard every morning!

The house is charming and immaculate. The beds are very comfortable and the house has everything you would need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is excellent too. The only thing that could improve is the sofa. It is very uncomfortable to sit on. Thank you for a delightful stay!

Nice place to get away from everyday life. Plenty good amount of fish in the lake. You can really relax by the fire pit with a new picnic table. Ac units worked very well and all the things were in place as mentioned before for the basic needs.

It was nice, quaint and a great getaway!

The home was cozy and very clean. Many amenities were provided, making it easy to settle in. We loved the vintage decor and throw blankets. As mentioned in other reviews, the couch was a bit uncomfortable, but other chairs and beds were comfortable. Wifi and TV worked just fine and lots of games were provided. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, just bring your food. We appreciated the bowl of goodies left for us. The outside had a plethora of entertaining areas, including a deck, playset, hammock, and firepit. The dock with rowboat and kayak was next to a stream. We were hoping to fish off the dock, but it wasn't deep enough so we took the rowboat out for a trial run. That ended up to be challenging because of shallow water and lily pads. Our trial run was successful, as did make it to the lake, but we never did go back to the lake to fish because of the challenge to get to the lake. We did enjoy the natural setting while sitting on the dock, plenty of birds, including a mama with baby ducks, tons of dragonflies, and frogs. Other reviews mentioned noise. Yes, there is a busy road and you can hear the traffic. We got used to it after the first day. Also, there was a humming noise at night and we never did figure out what it was, but we got used to that too. Overall, a nice place to bring your family. We felt safe, the home was very clean, and plenty was provided.

Great location except for the busy highway. Took advantage of the rowboat and kayak for some light outdoor fun. Bring marshmallows for some campfire fun next to the lake.

Cute cottage in the woods. Very clean and tidy. Under amenities they did not mention they had a hairdryer or that they had a Keurig coffee maker. Had I known that I would’ve brought pods. We flew into NY then drove and arrived late and there was no coffee welcome basket for us to enjoy for morning coffee. We did make it to a grocery store the next day, however. Although nicely appointed, one of the bedrooms did not have window curtains for privacy and the other bedroom curtains were sheer and did not cover the windows completely. As we were there to visit friends in the Hideout, we spent much of our time away from the cottage.

This property is situated at the right distance in terms of location. Its easy to get to the nearest town within 30 mins and yet it feels secluded enough to be away from crowds. The property itself was clean and well maintained. The instructions provided by the host were clear and easy to work with.

Great little getaway for a long weekend! Location was great, minus a slightly busy road but at night at the campfire you didn’t notice it. Location to the lake was great and we got the row out on the lane boat out for a short cruise. House was clean and had everything you could need.

We had a wonderful stay at this cute quiet cottage in the woods. The house was clean with all the necessities. Having lake access was really nice even if we were completely inept at using the rowboat. Sitting around the firepit by the dock was awesome. We didn't mind the location because we like the quiet, but it's about a 15-minute drive to Hawley and lake activities.

The cottage was spotless- clean, well equipped. The owner was very responsive. It is very hard to get through the shallow and swampy path with the boat to the lake. We had to get into the water to lighten the load and then try to push the boat through the shallow part but be careful not to sink into the swampy bottom. There was also an issue with the oar locks being wobbly which made it hard to row/navigate the boat. After two tries we gave up on the boat- it wasn’t worth the effort. Also a part that holds the seat on the kayak broke. Apparently it tends to happen with people who are on the heavy side. We found plenty of things to do nearby, and we had a great time, but it would have been better had we been able to use the boat and the kayak.

Celebrated 1st Father's day with a weekend trip. Home was very clean and depicted accurately. A few items that were assumed to be included in the basic needs (tissues, serving tongs, napkins) were not provided yet the high chair, pack n play, indoor/outdoor games, and ample bedding/linens was greatly appreciated. Home was nearby to hiking, zoo, and marinas. Definitely will look into vacationing here at this property again.

My family and I had an amazing time here! Beautiful atmosphere, cozy home, great access to the lake, and the host was very responsive! This is a beautiful property and we cannot wait to book our next getaway here.

Spent a week on this lovely and relaxing property. Plenty of room and the outdoors were enjoyed by both my wife and I and our young children. Located conveniently a short drive from many activities, restaurants and shopping.

Wanted a place that was secluded. This place filled the bill. No neighbors in sight. The cottage is charming and completely stocked with everything you need except the eats. Had a minor problem with firewood delivery for fire pit but Tiffany took care of it immediately.

Had a lovely time at this spot. The cottage is adorable and has a good amount of outdoor space for a 3 year old to run around. Easy drive to some very pretty and child friendly hikes. Enjoyed our getaway.

The property was as described. The home was clean and linens were provided. Myself and a friend wanted a relaxing getaway with our sons (ages 3&4). The kids loved the playground and it helped provide entertainment for them in our downtime. We loved the fire pit by the lake. We took the boat out on the lake and caught (and released) some small mouth bass. We didn't realize the location was so close to a busy road, but once we were settled, it was easy to overlook. Check-in and out was easy and the host was very responsive. We loved the location and overall experience.

This property was so cute with lake views from porch and great views from dock. The location was perfect for hiking or visiting the zoo " Claws and Paws". Tiffany was amazing from the check-in information, to answering minor concerns right away. I would stay at this location or another ran by Tiffany without hesitation.

We had a lovely stay here! The house was clean and comfortable and peaceful. The lake was beautiful to sit by and the firepit was great on a chilly evening. One thing I will note is that most businesses and restaurants nearby are not observing any COVID protocols, so you may want to bring your own groceries and stay in if masks and social distancing in indoor businesses are important to you.
