We love, love, love this holiday home! Location was perfect for walking and beach swim visits. The house had plenty of space for our family and the outdoor deck areas were well used by all. Thank you for opening up your holiday home and sharing with others!

We have been back multiple times and will continue to do so, the perfect Bach for a family holiday!

The property has plenty of space, and lots of water toys (SUP, kayaks, body boards). Because of the storms the previous week, the walk to the beach was twice as long as it was previously - about 100m, as we needed to cross the bridge rather than going directly across the road. The beach was quite busy in the weekend, but mainly deserted during the week.

Really good place for big families. There were eleven of us, 7 adults and 4 kids,ranging from 9 to 12 and we had plenty of room even though we were up there for cyclone Gabrielle.Lovely spot great views

We had a lovely time with two families. Lots of room, very close to the beach. Very safe for young children and fantastic sunsets at night.

A very comfortable home with plenty of space. Great location with the beach just across the road and access to many walks which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The property itself offers great spacious areas both indoors and out to kick back and relax among friends. The location is perfect with the beautiful golden sands of Whangaumu Beach just across the road and then the conveniences within 10 minutes to Tutukaka or Ngunguru.

Great location across from the beach and a lovely well kept property with a great 'kiwi bach' back yard. Perfect for a family group with children.

We enjoyed our stay, I particularly like that it was a “real batch”. And liked the upstairs downstairs separate accommodation. Really suited us. Great spot with view of the bay snd safe sheltered swimming

This holiday bach is very roomy and suits a large family. Very well equipped with all mod cons and showering and bathing facilities, including a quirky little outdoor bath which was fun for the kids to warm up after a swim during the day and very refreshing and relaxing for a couple of adults to squeeze into at night. I loved gazing up at the tree canopy swaying in wind and feeling the refreshing sprinkling of rain on my skin. Very therapeutic. Cyclonic weather for 5 days, the sun did not peep through once but we got out and battled the wind and braved the rain in our leaky raincoats. Thank god for the tumble dryer. (Sorry for electricity usage) Would love to experience this place in the heat of summer when there are blue skys and sunny days because there is a gorgeous beach right there and little gems of places to explore all along the coastline. Thank you Alan and Liz for being so helpful and sharing your beautiful place. We would love to come back.

We had a really wonderful stay. The house is perfect for multiple families, we had three generations and two lots of kids, so the two separate living spaces were perfect. The views from the upstairs meant we were really happy to stay inside while it was rainy, the upstairs is a lovely and sunny space. The downstairs showerhead wasn't working beyond a dribble, but the outside shower and bath were great coming up from the beach wet and cold. Alan and Liz were great at communicating with us and really flexible when we had to change dates. Thanks for having us!

This place is perfect.Owners are very nice and accommodating and understand "family".Amazing location, safe beach for kids and easy launch for boats and jet ski's (6.2M Haines Hunter had no issues).Lovely house and outdoors area. Plenty of bedrooms for quite times and large communal areas for family time.Hot outdoor shower/bath was a hit with the kids and enjoyed by adults as well.Highly recommended and we are already planning a return trip later in the year, woohoo!

We enjoyed the large deck, BBQ and waking up to the sounds of the sea. Plenty of bedrooms and space for the kids to play inside if weather isn't nice. You could spend the weekend exploring the local walks in the area or just relax at the house reading a book. Instructions from the owners were very clear and detailed. Nice to have all the info in advance for arrival. The house is as described and even bigger than the photos show. Be aware that it is a family home so there is some food in the cupboards/fridge/freezer and a few odds & ends in the cupboards. The general look of the place is a bit weathered, but what you would expect from a holiday house that is used often - it is used with love. Everything was clean and we felt very comfortable staying here.

Great property and location excellent for families with young children! All the essentails and more are there for all ages to have a great time. The beach is 50m away and very safe for young children without the dangers of rips etc. The house is clean and tidy as expected with great options to sit and enjoy a wine in any of the decks or below the tree in the back of the property. 100% recommended for everyone!

This bach is in a perfect location - just over the road from a gorgeous sandy beach! The bach is really spacious which is perfect for extended families and has great amenities as per listing. Just a couple of negatives ... the place is a little tired ... there were hardly any working lightbulbs, some of the bedding has seen better days and we couldn’t really use the wardrobes due to the amount of stuff already in them. Please can you also check the deck ... we found several protruding nails which were very dangerous.
