Great property & location. Very clean.

We biked all weekend and were able to rest well in your home. It was fun to have the Door County Brewery a block away! I would recommend this to anyone as a good home "base" for exploring Door County.

The house was great - very clean and set up perfectly for our family. Door County was beautiful and we enjoyed it. The house is located conveniently in the middle of Door County so we were able to easily access the whole peninsula. There were little touches in the house that made it very comfortable. There were toys and games for my grandchildren. The box of blocks kept my 2 year old grandson entertained. Martina answered all of our questions quickly. We often rent houses for our vacations and this is one of the best we have experienced.

Overall the house was well kept. The location was wonderful and was in walking distance of downtown Bailey's Harbor.

Great space for our whole family to get together on vacation! Close to playground, food/bar, lake, ice cream and only a short drive for hiking and all the other Door County specialties. Quiet and comfortable.

My wife and I went to Bailey's Harbor for a weekend getaway. We stayed at Carraig Beag Cottage. The cottage is well stocked and very comfortable. It is in town and we were able to walk everywhere. It's a great time of year to wander around and explore the area before the summer crowds make their way north. Martina, who is actually the owner was a pleasure to work with. Can't wait to go back up for a longer stay with the kids.

Communication with Martina, the property owner and manager, was fantastic. I cannot say enough about her! Every detail was attended to and it was an incredible experience all around. Highly recommended!

Nice little place close to a lot of things. Everything we needed.

This was a great place to stay for our family vacation. There were 5 adults and my 2 1/2 year old daughter. The house is located on the quieter side of the peninsula but still had plenty of restaurants and activities, but also a short drive to the busier areas such as Fish Creek and Sister Bay. The house was very clean and comfortable with great furnishings. We all loved visiting Cana Island Lighthouse which was close by as well as the Hands On Art Studio on a rainy morning. A fun local brewery is also within very close walking distance plus the many wineries in the area! Many things for both adults and children to enjoy!

We had an absolutely brilliant weekend in a beautiful location at a stunning time of the year. The a Fall colors were stunning and evident all around. The house is a great size and is lovely and clean. It has everything you need for a family vacation. I was especially impressed that there were both a crib and a highchair available. The only reason I can't give this house a 5 star is that for me it was inconvenient bringing your own bed linen and towels. This is an expensive property and markets itself at the upper end of the market. For these prices I would expect linen to be included, particularly when you're paying an additional cleaning fee. We find going away with two young kids requires a lot of paraphernalia and I wish linen and towels would have been one less thing I needed to worry about. Also at the end of a long drive making beds wasn't what I wanted to deal with. However, Martina was such a delight to deal with that I wish I could give 5 stars. We had such an amazing time that we definitely will go back. My four year old didn't want to leave! There's a great playground across the road and some great restaurants in the area. We can't wait to introduce more family and friends to Door County and to more of Martina and Jerry's properties even if it means bringing our own linen!

We all really enjoyed out time at the cottage. It was close enough to the other areas that had more activities but it was nice and quiet. The cottage was well kept and was nice for our whole family. There was a great playground right across the street which our grandson loved each day. The restaurants we very good and close enough to walk to.

Carraig Beag was a delightful place to stay. It is a modern, clean and charming home that was very comfortable for our family of 6. Although it is not located on the main drag, we were surprised how walkable it was to everything we normally do and see in Baileys Harbor. A great rental for families, singles, anyone.

Carraig Beag Cottage rental was everything we expected and more. The pictures do not do it justice. The home was very spacious and clean. Martina was extremely easy to work with and responded quickly to all of our inquiries and needs. The garden and grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The house is nicely located. It is just a block away from Bailey's Harbor Marina. My only disappointment was that I could not stay longer.

What a great house, it's furnished with care and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked, and a pleasure to prepare a meal in. Many a conversation was had around the island as meals were prepare or when we were cleaning up after. As noted in other reviews, the house is within walking distance of the marina, beach and main street. Also within walking distance and well worth a visit is the Blue Ox Bar, it's a visual delight worth exploring. Fish Creek and Sister's Bay are both within driving distance. Fish Creek will satisfy the touristy need (vacation gifts etc.) and has some worthy eateries. When all was done, it was nice to return to the serenity of Baileys harbor. Where we hung out, shared tales of the daily events and laughed, in the comfortable setting in our house near the crest of the hill. We'll be back, in fact we started to plan our next trip days into this one. It was a great trip!

Myself and my family reunited here in Door County for a family wedding. (June 2014) We stayed in one of Martina's properties "Carraig Beag Cottage",Bailyes Harbour. A very well proportioned 3 bedroom house,it's cleanliness and homely feel was apparent on entering the property. It was more than comfortable for the 5 adults staying there. The amenities & facilities were great and the local information left in the cottage by Martina was extremely helpful. The cottage is closely located to near by places of interest like Fish Creek,Sister Bay & The Peninsula (to name a few) It was nice at the end of a busy day to retire to the cottage and it's peaceful surroundings. On one occaasion we did mix with the locals and other tourists in the local bar which is a short walk away from the cottage also. The wedding cermony we attended was held in another of Martina's houses called "Carraig Mór". Although we didn't stay in this house we sure did feel previliged to have passed through it. It's rare you visit a house when the gardens are just as impressive as the house. (Needless to say this is why the ceremony took place outside in the garden.) Perhaps if you are travelling here to Door County with a larger group or family "Carrig Mór" would be more suited. I would highly recommend any of Martina's properties as a place to stay while you're visiting Door County. Myself and my family made the long trek from Ireland to stay here and it was such a relief for us all to arrive at a destination that was clean,tidy,comfortable,assesable to other places of interest,homely,secure & friendly. Enjoyed a wonderful week in Baileys Harbor. The house was clean and very spacious and comfortable and the gardens were beautiful. Especially loved the wrap around porch where we frequently sat out. The location of the house was perfect to stroll into Baileys harbor to the marina, shops and beach or out for dinner at Cornerstone pub or DC Deli. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of Baileys harbor and it was a very short drive to visit the other towns. Rented clear bottomed Kayaks from Lakeshore Adventures and Kayaked from Anclam beach across the bay which was fantastic. A great family week away!

We stayed at this home for one week and wish it could have been two. The garden and grounds were beautiful. Sitting in the family room you look out a large picture window that frames a garden that slopes upwards -- it fills the window and looks like a picture. While the description including a lot of detail regarding the flowers in the garden we were still surprised to see how the garden nestled into the bluffs that border the house just to the west. Made for great solitude. Enjoyed the big open areas to play badminton and bocce ball. The kitchen was very clean and we enjoyed eating in several nights...almost as much as going out. Used the gas grill and ate on the porch, which had the great speaker system. We listened to music when we weren't listening to the birds. All in all, a very clean, very nicely decorated home. We took many naps on the comfy couches after long days outside. Some nights we found it hard to get off the couch to go to the bedrooms! We'll definitely go back for the location, quality and pure relaxation...a vacation to remember.

We enjoyed our stay in Bailey's Harbor! This is a clean and comfortable place to stay. MArtina was prompt and helpful. As others have mentioned, it's nice to walk around the marina, town and down to the beach.We all read a lot so we appreciated the fact that there are lamps appropriately placed in the living room and bedrooms. We found it to be convenient to drive to other Door Co spots. We had a wonderful time. We will be back!
