No faults , everything was very good

The villa is very romantic with great views of the mountains and Sognefjiord. The rooms of this large two-story home are spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. We loved the wood burning stove in the living room and used it each evening during our stay. We also appreciated the well equipped laundry room. There's nothing better than the smell of clean clothes after a long trip. The location is right in the heart of Balestrand and a few steps from the aquarium, restaurants and art galleries. We even went to the movies (Fisherman's Friends) one night in the former school. Much fun! Of the dozen plus B&Bs/hotels/apartments we stayed in during our month long travel in six European countries, we voted Villa Hohmann the best of all!

This is not a criticism of Villa Hohmann, but of European lodging in general - their bed mattresses are way too soft! For seniors, a good nights sleep is imperative and a bed with a newer and firmer mattress would be much appreciated. Investing in a good sleep experience for patrons should be the highest priority of the lodging industry. Sadly, in our travel experience, too many fail in this regard.

My family of four had a lovely stay at Villa Holmen. It is an entire two-story house and we enjoyed how much room there was for all of us. There are lots of windows to let in light and fresh air and also the incredible views! The location of the house couldn't be better -- just two minutes by foot from the harbor. We were able to walk there easily upon our arrival (by boat), even pulling all our luggage. There is a beautiful view of the water from the upstairs balcony and stunning mountain views from all the other windows. I highly recommend this booking!

The only thing that could have been better is if there had been enough bedding for all of us upon arrival. I had to contact the host to have additional sheets and duvet covers brought to the house. Also, it would have been lovely for the beds the have been made so I didn't have to make up all the beds with the fresh linens myself upon arrival. I did appreciate how quickly the host replied to my messages about the missing bedding.

Nice and central loaction, good facilites with washing machine and coffee machine. Effecient with key-box.
