Mind-blowing views! Clean & comfortable, perfect for our family with 2 teens. Really appreciated the laundry machine, clothesline & clothes pins!

Our stay was spectacular! We had extra (and very heavy) luggage as we came directly from a backpacking trip in the alps. Carolina provided a barcode to use the lift which was extremely helpful getting our luggage up from the train station closer to the property. It took several trips to get each item up the stairs in the building, but was definitely worth it! The restaurant below (Old School) was our favorite spot to eat and the owners treated us like family. The views are amazing from the terrace, we played lots of card games with our teenagers and relaxed there. The property also provided beach towels to use which were helpful because we hiked to each village and swam at every opportunity. There is also a local pesto cooking class in Riomaggiore (we booked on Viator) and it’s within walking distance from the property, others had to train/taxi from different villages. Everything was truly amazing!!

Fantastic visit. Yes, there are many steps to get to the apartment, but sitting on the rooftop terrace in the evenings overlooking Riomaggiore made it well worth it. The apartment itself had everything one needed - games and movies for a rainy day, clothes washer, dishwasher, kitchen items, etc. Carolina was very helpful in answering my questions. Highly recommended!

Caro and Claudio were fantastic hosts and their apartment was absolutely perfect. Even though parking is not an amenity , they found us parking for our car and we never used the car once we got there. They communicated very well before and during our stay. They quickly responded when I had a few questions. The apartment had every amenity we needed and more. It was spacious, the bed ( we only used one bedroom) comfortable, the washing machine was convenient and the terrace was unbelievable. We ate many meals on the terrace. It was so lovely looking over the town and the sea. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We visited each of the Cinque Terre villages and we were happy with our choice of using Riomaggiore as our home base. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

My family - wife and three kids (20, 17 and 13) stayed at the property for three nights in early June 2024. The location was excellent, the property was clean and the views from the bedrooms and rooftop were wonderful. The communication with the property owner was quick and easy. We highly recommend this apartment and Riomaggiore!

The roof top terrace was the highlight. The entire property was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked and convenient. The ability to do laundry was very helpful. The cafe at the bottom of the stairs was wonderful. Friendly and great breakfast/coffee Great location overall.

This property had everything we needed. The terrace view was beautiful. Climbing the stairs was worth it for the view. We would stay here again.

Unit was up some steps but its Riomaggiore, right! Two nice bedrooms with large kitchen and living space. Large bath, washer and dryer and large sun deck on second floor. Communication with hosts was exceptional.Unit is located near the top of Riomaggiore and is close to trains and parking. Good spot to explore from

We had a great 4 day trip to Casa Dena. The view and the location were amazing. Host had great communication with us the entire time. The property was clean and well stocked.

Loved, loved, loved this apt! The patio is the ultimate! Very modern apt, fully equipped. Thanks for Netflix. Only downside are the directions to get there which need to be updated. Elevator at train station was out of order, so we got confused. When we got to the church, we followed directions, we thought, and ended up at the priest’s house! We had a lovely stay!

What an amazing place with a spectacular view! We loved Casa Dena for its fabulous deck overlooking Riomaggiore and the view of the water. It’s spacious, clean and very well stocked with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The host, Carolina is exceptional with providing details and information to make for an easy stay. Highly recommend!

We loved this apartment. It is 3 floors up with steep steps but the view from the rooftop patio makes it all worthwhile.

We had fantastic communication from Carolina from the time we booked. She guided us through all of the processes and was quick to address any concerns or offer assistance whenever we needed it. Possibly the best equipped apartment we stayed in during our month in Italy. The decor is authentically rustic Italian and it all makes for a lovely, comfortable stay. It is however a very long way up, and this is a hard climb with kids in tow and lots of luggage if the lift from the station isn’t functioning as was the case for us. Best to make sure you pack light for your stay. Once you make it up to the apartment, the views are worth every single step of that climb. They are truly spectacular!

The view from this apartment was amazing and worth the climb uphill and the narrow stairs to the fifth floor. The kitchen was well appointed with all we needed to begin our day with coffee and small meal. The bed was comfortable although the street noise could get a little loud and the window let in quite a bit of light. Having the bathroom upstairs was interesting and challenging in the middle of the night. Carolina was a good host who checked in with us during our stay. And again we loved the view!

Great stay. A fabulous accommodation in Cinque Terre. Host was great; answered questions promptly and even arranged parking for us in the village. Stay was as advertised and terrace was a nice feature - to sit out with coffee in morning and a glass of wine in the evening.

We have been dreaming of visiting Riomaggiore for over 20 years. I came across Caroline’s space about five years ago. We kept having set backs and had to cancel which was heartbreaking. This place was worth the wait and every penny we spent. This space is huge, super comfortable and Caroline has thought of every detail to make you feel at home. NOTHING is stingy, and pictures don’t do it justice. The bed is very comfortable, lots of towels including beach towels. Fully packed kitchen I cooked several nights and we enjoyed dinner on the roof. Amazing balcony view from bedroom! There was never a need for air conditioner, we opened the windows and breeze went through house. Church bells occasionally that added to the charm. Spectacular view on roof with large table and chairs for dining and two relaxing lounges for napping. Perfect for a dream vacation! Just left today already dreaming of returning!

We loved our stay. The apartment was exactly as pictured, very clean. The owner provided very detailed directions how to get to the location with pictures, which was greatly appreciated! I would suggest if you are older, or not in good shape that this may not be a great location, as there are many hills and many steps, if you are able, though, the views are worth it! Would definitely return!

We stayed here with our kids, ages 13, 12, and 9. It was just wonderful. Usually, photos are an over-promise. In this case, they didn't do justice. The property was so prepared for our every need (even our 9-year-old noticed), and was incredible beyond compare. I can't imagine any property has a better view, and the apartment was completely prepared for anything you could need. We couldn't be happier with our stay. 5/5 completely recommend!

We loved staying at Casa Dena. We felt right amongst the town and loved the rooftop terrace. The aircon worked well and the casa was very clean and lots of facilities were provided like laundry detergent, beach towels and kitchen amenities. I would highly recommend staying here, it made our time at the Cinque Terre so pleasant! Thanks Carolina :)

We had an incredible time in this absolutely beautiful corner of the world. The apartment has stunning views and we had to keep pinching ourselves to believe we were there. The apartment was just as described, but the views are even better! The steps didn't worry us at all, it was amazing to look down on the town and feel slightly out of the hustle and bustle when you wanted to and we loved that there are no cars. There was some noise from the bars in town overnight, this was the only slight downside. There are plenty of lovely little places to eat and we had a great time swimming off the rocks at the beach, but it was hard to drag ourselves away from the balcony at times! We will definitely be back!

The deck and view are amazing, and the bedrooms are large. Loved the AC in this heat wave!

Caroline’s house is beautiful and in a great location- we really enjoyed sitting on the patio in the evenings! She was super helpful securing parking for us and provided excellent communication during our stay. We loved the apartment and would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is nice, the view is great. It is mentioned in the description as a minor detail that the apartment is on the 5th floor. In reality there are really steep stairs, which come at the end of a long uphill climb to the apartment. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. The major issue with the place was that the host informed us the day we arrived that the toilet didn’t work, and that we’d have to fill/dump a bucket of water from the shower every time we wanted to flush. It actually was a big inconvenience, especially considering how much we paid for the place and with 2 kids. It also filled the whole bathroom with a stench which limited the shower use as well. We asked the host for a partial refund based on the inconvenience and she was really inflexible and cheap about it, offering what amounted to about 10% of the cost of a 4 night stay. I was really surprised considering I’ve had many accommodating hosts In similar situations. She seemed to know that VRBO protected her from having to make any refund at all, even though vrbo recommended we negotiate with her. Finally, she accused us of not taking out the garbage, which we did, and was actually a huge effort (to get it down 5 flights on 2 different nights).

We had a great experience! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Great communication from Carolina! We would stay here again.

Great location, at top of the town though so be prepared for a steep walk and plenty of steps. Communication with the host was faultless, there was a couple of issues with property but we were kept informed.

It’s a very easy passage from train station to property. It is up 36 steep stairs but once you’re there the views are spectacular! Big bedrooms, air conditioning, washing machine, kitchen facilities, huge terrace with awning. We are in each night as it was so hard to tear ourselves from the view. Carolina was a great host, good directions, very responsive and friendly. I hope to return sometime and would not hesitate returning here!

This is a fantastic home-base for your exploration of the Cinque Terre. We Loved the roof top terrace and used it for every breakfast and dinner. This was a great decompression location after our hours on the hiking trails. Highly recommend this to anyone. All four of us enjoyed this apartment and it exceeded out expectations. Wonderful host with very clear and helpful communication whenever needed. 5/5 Stars.
