This is our second time at this cabin (and 3rd working with Johnny) and it was perfect, as usual. My husband & I traveled from the San Francisco Bay Area to visit his elderly mother who lives quite close to this cabin. It is always clean and well stocked, but when we arrived during a very cold snap, the heat had been turned on & it was nice & cozy, a very nice “Welcome” after a long drive. It also has always had everything we need, including coffee for the morning! We also had to make a change to our reservation at the last minute, and we were worried it might be a problem. But Johnny handled it kindly and quickly for us, no problem at all. We intentionally look for properties run by Johnny and stay at them whenever we can, knowing his properties will always be clean, well cared for and exceptionally comfortable, and that Johnny is a wonderfully accommodating host. Thank you once again, Johnny!

Clean, cozy and dog friendly. Close to hiking trails and the Kern river. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a quick visit to the cabin for some local hiking. The place is updated, spacious and clean! It’s less than 10 min to Kernville, where there are a lot of restaurants and shops. We took a lot of recommendations from the host and they were all good!

This was a totally charming place for our weekend trip to Lake Isabella and Sequoia National Forest! A well-appointed kitchen, a cute patio to eat on, a treehouse and grill (which we sadly didn't get to use, but it was nice to know they were there), and a great couch and tv for relaxing. Nice furnishings, and an easy hop to Kernville for supplies and hikes.

We went to take a trip down memory lane and were so pleased to find this quaint little cabin to stay in. It was so homey and clean. It was super quiet too! We did not want for amenities. Cabin had on demand hot water, temperature control and a well stocked kitchen.

Beautiful property and great location. Lots of trees and friendly neighbors. Easy drive to the snow and ski lift.

We enjoyed staying at this home. It was tucked away in perfect location between lake Isabella and kernville . There are two windows that require curtains for privacy and the Queen mattress wasn't that comfortable. The rest of the home has been remodeled and it' has a rustic modern feel. My husband and I were impressed with all the woodwork throughout the home. I especially liked being able to bring my pets. Thanks for letting us stay.

Great property to stay if visiting alta sierra ski resort (just know that you need to go right when there is fresh snow, or they may close!). Super helpful, friendly and fair host. Refunded us one night when our snow plans got ruined and the road was closed to the giant sequoias. John was very helpful to our family :-) Bed was not my fav. Very soft mattress and I need a firmer mattress. But overall very nice place and amenities :-)

Johnny waa amazing in every aspect - communication, property description and his beautiful, welcoming, extremely well-equipped home. My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience!

Great stay for the price. There were a couple of minor things that can be improved, but both that would have impacted our decision to stay. Really clean property. My daughter stated,”This place has everything you need.” If we come back to Lake Isabella we’ll see if the unit is available again. Thanks Johnny!

Cute cabin that is much bigger inside then it looks from the outside. Nice neighbors, and quiet neighborhood. The cabin met all our needs and made our stay very comfortable. The addition of blinds or curtains on the large living room and kitchen windows would make sleeping in the living room more comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch and master bedroom balcony....very peaceful.

Just across the road from Kern River Outfitters for our river rafting trip, and 45 minutes to 100 Giants in Sequoia. Wonderful weekend!

The cabin had great accommodations for the 2 of us and loved how close everything is around. It was actually a little larger than we expected in person. The owner was very helpful with any of our questions.

The cabin was exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We will definitely be visiting again.

What a cool place. Situated next to a creek, this cute cabin is close to Alta Sierra and to kernville. Going to this area gives me ADD...so much to do and so little time! The cabin itself was well organized, roomy, and warm when you kick up the wood burning stove. The full kitchen was nice to cook in, and the bathroom was exceptional too. The bedroom was nice and cozy with a deck extending out over the creek. Fell asleep to hearing it gurgle outside. Thanks Johnny, I look forward to coming back and told all my friends about this little gem!

My husband and I had fun this little place. Someone clearly did a great remodel of this place. the feel and design of it is smart and convenient, comfortable and reasonably-priced. There is a great kitchen and a brand new grill which we enjoyed using. Thanks, Johnny! Btw, the people at Harry's Bar are super nice. Stop in for a beer! And don't miss Kernville Saloon either. :)

One of the best I’ve stayed in! The property is beautiful, the place is well stocked with everything needed, the owner is super helpful, and super informative. Looking forward to coming back multiple times! You’re literally located near everything! Five minutes from the lake, five minutes from local markets, five minutes from The movie theater, 10 minute drive from Kernville with lots of restaurants and a brewery and the river! I highly, highly recommend renting! Although I am reluctant, because I don’t wanted to get booked up to where I can’t come back! LOL!

Love the cabin it has a ton of room for a bigger truck like mine and once we entered the cabin it was way better than the pictures made it look. Really nice and modern and very homey. The owners of the cabin are really welcoming and make it a great experience. Definitely going to stay here again when the time comes.

The cabin was a great mix of rustic modern. The location was great and the owner was very helpful in giving ideas on what to do in the area and where places were. Will definitely use this again.
