We enjoyed our stay. It was close to the beach. The area was nice. The neighborhood was friendly. We enjoyed morning walks, shopping the beach and night life.

This home was very comfortable and clean. They had everything you could possibly need from silverware to penne grill. All the beds were very comfortable and set up nicely to enjoy the family. There were lots of games and fun things to do for the children. We certainly enjoyed the big deck and had many meals out on it.
Located close to beach and tiki bar was a plus. The town is charming and all the people we met were very friendly. Definitely will be stay at this home again!

The location of this property was great. While not on the water, as the listing states you can certainly see the river from the front deck. It’s a 10 minute walk along a semi-busy road to get to one of the beaches in South Colonial Beach. The beach itself is fine. Decent space, small waves, sandy and rocky shoreline. For whatever reason this time there were a lot of jellyfish in the water so that prohibited the kids from going in much unfortunately.
As for the property itself, it’s dated but very spacious. Real solid spot for families as there are three bedrooms, 3 queen beds, and a bunk bed set. Lots of toys, books, and beach toys for the kids as well. The kitchen has all you can ask for in terms of cutlery, plates, etc. Dishes need to be washed by hand but no big deal. Showers have good pressure, beds are comfortable, and again there is good space inside for families to stretch their legs. The only negatives I’d list were the toilet were low to the ground so a tad uncomfortable (what can ya do?), had some bugs in and around one window in the bathroom, and some hedges and plants could use a trim as they are encroaching on the desk. No dealbreakers at all though!

The stay was great. Small minor issues mosquitoes coming in the window of the bathroom,and under the screen door in the livingroom.shrubs needs trimming in the front of the house covering the sidewalk.

Tons of space and really nice comfortable beds and comfortable living area. Location is great! Loved the deck and being able to sit outside and enjoy the weather and neighborhood. Friends really enjoyed the space and felt really comfortable there. Thank you for such a great stay!

We absolutely love Colonial Beach and has become our family vacation spot for several years now. This year we decided to rent this rental. It's big enough for a big family with kids and close to the beach on the far side. There were a few negatives like definitely needs TLC and updates to applicances. We had issues with cleaniness like countertops, dishes, floors, etc. The rental looked like it wasn't cleaned in a while or was massively done poorly. We had the best chance to meeting the actual owner and they were great, friendly and helpful. Fixed our issues right away. VRBO also got in touch with us and resolved the issues as well. We were very grateful. Overall a good place to rent for a vacation.

We came to Colonial Beach for 2022 Bikefest
The home was so spacious, so nicely decorated an the weather allowed us to enjoy the HUGE Deck..We had all adults but what a lovely home for children!!

House had everything we needed for our stay and was in great location! Cleanliness was not up to par for my standards. I had to reclean toilets and bath tubs and clean kitchen counters due to crumbs left behind. Vacuum that is available for use was full of animal hair and smelled. I cleaned it out and re-vacuumed home and had to empty container twice while vacuuming. Overall great experience but think manager of property should be checking in more with whom ever cleans for them. I disinfected all tubs and toilets as well as washed all bath mats and rugs before we left. Also washed and remade all beds.

This rental had everything you need & more. We didn’t have children with us but it’s was well stocked for children. Lots of parking which is rare in colonial beach. Terrific location with water view. Friendly neighbors. Best stocked kitchen I’ve ever rented. Definitely will rent again

This is our first trip to Colonial Beach. Great location, clean and comfortable.Storms on Sunday messed with the TV. Couldn’t get connected with Wi-Fi but lots of great games. It was a great weekend to unplug

In a few words, the stay at Cindy's home was the most pleasant, during our stay with the family in her beautiful and lovely home, very organized, very clean, it was an extraordinary week we had, very close to the Potomac River , where we enjoy its beach and even with its beach toys and accessories, we definitely recommend it and we would rent such a pleasant place again.

Enjoyed our stay at this property very much! Plenty of room for the 5 of us, very comfortable home, had fun playing the board games that were provided! The wrap around porch was a great place to spend time. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome weekend at CB
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this home! We participated in the Colonial Beach triathlon and the location was perfect for getting to the race site, for relaxing on the beach & for walking to restaurants! We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed being at this property for a second time! There was a slight glitch in that the bike wasn't usable, but the host kindly provided a credit so that we'd have the option of renting a bike downtown. Thank you!

Great location and accomodations
We were very pleased with the location and we had access to Beach toys for our granddaughter and beach chairs. There was an issue with the HVAC unit but we were given other accommodations. The owner was quick to respond to our needs. We would certainly rent this property again.

Great Location...check the fridge though
The location on this place was perfect especially if you don't want to constantly load a bunch of kids up in your car. Was not impressed with the fact that we had to have a maintenance man come twice to look at the fridge in the week we were there which never got fixed/replaced while we were there. By the end of the week we ended up having to throw away close to $200 worth of groceries. But other than the fridge issues everything else was wonderful.

Great time at Double Tide!
Double Tide is a very comfortable home that easily accommodated our family of six. The quiet neighborhood, great outdoor space, and being within walking distance to the beach made it the perfect location for our family vacation! We really appreciated the use of the beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and the wagon to take everything to the beach :)

Thanksgiving Retreat
We had a great Thanksgiving at Doubletree. While I had made our Thanksgiving dinner ahead of time, the kitchen had everything we needed for reheating it. The location was wonderful. It was a short walk to see the sunrise and sunsets, which were gorgeous. I would recommend Double Tide for a Colonial Beach stay.

Amazing place for families!
We had a fantastic time! Our kids are 2 and 4, and they loved the house, particularly the outdoor toys (including plenty of beach toys) and all the books and toys inside the house...and of course, the bunk beds! The house was nicer in person than it appeared in the photos, and everything we needed was on hand (except a dishwasher). All in all a great stay despite some not-so-beachy weather. Highly recommend Westmoreland State Park if the weather isn't warm enough for a beach day!

Nice clean house. Good location
Great place. We rented a golf cart to run around in. There were 2 things that were off. A dishwasher was listed in the amenities but there wasn't one. Lucky for us one person liked to hand wash and we just used paper products. The second was the gas grill did not work. They did refund us money for the tank we bought. I would rent this place again.

Great getaway in a quaint town
We were thoroughly impressed with the comforts of the rental. Beds made tighter than a hotel, spacious kitchen with clean supplies, even board games to play. The location was three homes away from the water and was nice for a walk or catching the sunrise. Clean, cozy, and lived in vibe that didn’t make us feel like we couldn’t relax or worry about kids knocking things out of place. The jellyfish were quite predominant so we missed the water play but riding on a golf cart around was so scenic and fun. Locals had signs to enter wearing masks, but no workers wore them. Crowds gathered to hear live music at night, but we were comfortable getting takeout and staying home on our deck. Bring bug spray, mosquitoes and flies were viscous. We plan to stay again maybe in the beginning of fall next time. And, NEVER using Beach Cart Rentals, the owner blew us off after making arrangements weeks in advance. Overall, great stay and getaway for our family with reputable realtor.

Great home for young kids
Our 4 and 2 year olds had a blast at this home. They loved the outdoor and indoor toys at the home as well as the big collection of kid books. We loved that it was a short walk to the beach and the house came with tons of beach stuff.
My only complaints were a lack of dishwasher and no extra toilet paper for any bathroom. The internet was service was also terribly slow, don’t plan on reliable WiFi.
But it’s a great little house and we would stay again on our next trip!
