Great week in Cape May

This is a beautiful, historic home in Cape May. My family stayed for a week and loved every second. We had plenty of space for sleeping, eating, and hanging out. It was very helpful being in walking distance to the beach, shopping, Acme, and other activities. The owners were very friendly and easy to get in touch with. I would definitely suggest this property to others!

Can’t beat walking to town and the beach! Even with a little rain we enjoyed the lovely covered porch on the property.

Longfellow continues to be a great home for our yearly Cape May weekend. The owners always go out of their way to make us welcome and comfy. The house is spacious inside and out. This year we had fantasy weather so after a stroll to the lighthouse (wear good shoes…I swear it doesn’t look 3 miles away) and lots and lots of shopping we chilled out on the porch before dinner on the deck. Thank you Mike and Alix. We can’t wait for next year!

This was the first time staying at the Longfellow property. First, the location is AMAZING!! We also loved how the family showcased the house's history throughout - you can feel the love throughout. Michael and Alix were incredible and accommodating, making our stay seamless and relaxing.

Overall my family had a very lovely time staying at the residence. The owners were beyond accommodating for our needs. All the finishing touches in the home were very historical and we would definitely come back for another stay at this residence. We enjoyed getting to know the family through the vintage photos throughout the home. The area is very nice and the people are very friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful long weekend with my family.

My family (11) members gathered at this wonderful home for our niece's/cousin's wedding. We had plenty of room to spread out. We spent so much time on the porch reconnecting as a family. We appreciated the location, as well. Every single family member commented how happy they were that I found this home. If you are on the fence about staying here, I strongly recommend going for it! You won't be disappointed! Michael reached out to us the day before our arrival welcoming us and advising he was available to answer any questions. We did have some questions and he responded immediately! Thank you! We had a fabulous time!

The Longfellow house is very comfortable and conveniently located. We took advantage of a very well outfitted kitchen and enjoyed our meals on the lovely back porch. Everyone enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and in the two very comfortable living rooms. The house was very clean. Beds were comfortable and there is a good variety of rooms and privacy for those who need it. The house is minutes from the beach and the chairs stored in the beach box were a fantastic convenience. Communication with our hosts was trouble-free. We appreciated the pro-tips and detailed instructions printed out and left for us at the house. This is a home that reflects the rich history of this family. It feels like you are truly guests of the family.

Our family and friends had a great time staying at the Longfellow house. The hosts offered helpful check-in information prior to our arrival. They were very engaged and responsive. There are plenty of bedrooms and rooms to for a large family to spread out, a terrific back deck for socializing and dining, and of course, a wonderful front porch for taking in the best street in Cape May - Hughes Street!

Our family loved our stay at The Longfellow House! We rented the house as well as the extra suite, which was great! The location is wonderful and the street is very quiet with very little traffic. Michael and Alix could not have been more accommodating and detail oriented. We really appreciated the beach tags and the beach box!

This home is spectacular! Beautiful details; lots of wonderful rooms with plenty of space for family to sleep comfortably. We had a lovely welcome package waiting for us when we arrived and lots of helpful communication from the owners throughout. I look forward to coming back next summer!

The home was wonderful. Great location - we walked everywhere. Cute street with beautiful Victorian homes. Home had everything we needed. Michael was very easy to work with and provided a lot of good information on Cape May.

This was our second time staying at the Longfellow house! It is a great house with a lot of character. Michael and Alix responded quickly. We really enjoyed our stay.

Friends met in Cape May. Off season was delightful to explore the town and beaches. Many shops were closed but that was not a problem for us as many were open. Michael was terrific about answering questions and being available.

The Longfellow House was great for our "Bill Chill" weekend with four couples. We loved the location and would definitely like to return!

Communication with Michelle was very easy. We had a large group and the house was a perfect size. We rented linens which were there upon arrival (in each room). Location was great…. Historic area near beach and shops. We’ll be back!!

Centrally located-walking distance to almost everything. Ample outdoor seating (front porch and back deck). Period decor of the home gave you a true Cape May feeling while still allowing you to feel comfortable. Attentive, gracious hosts who answered all our questions in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Wonderful house and fantastic host.

The Longfellow house is quintessential Cape May Victorian loveliness. Sit on the porch and watch the carriages meander by in the heart of the most beautiful area of town. People pay to ride the carriage by this house because it is so beautiful! Inside you will find treasures of family photos dating back ages and gobs of books to read (some are just to look at as they are old treasures). You can rent your linens and towels directly from the owner which is VERY convenient if you have ever tried to deal with a linen service before. It is clean and well taken care of. We had more than enough space for the 10 of us and we even brought Brad, the family dog. Everything is within walking distance, park your car and you are set. The only caveat would be to be sure to bring the recycling to the curb on Tuesday because it builds up if you forget. This was our second year renting this house and we hope to be back next year! Many thanks to the Longfellows for letting us rent their amazing property.

A wonder experience at a great Victorian home. You want for nothing. Location allows you to walk to the beach, to the pizza place, to the restaurants and to Washington St. 9 grandchildren had great time swimming, fishing and walking together all around town.

We had the best time staying at the Longfellow house! The history of the house was so charming, and the house was large and spacious! The back deck and front porch are perfect places for morning coffees, and downtown area is a short walk down the street. Michae was a wonderful and communicative host, and we highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful weekend at this charming old historic home. The owners were so helpful and the property is well kept and filled with wonderful antiques and family history. It is cozy and filled with character. My husband and I were accompanied by my 7 year old daughter and 82 year old mother. All were so comfortable in the house. It couldn't have been better! Thank you Michael. We hope to return to this wonderful vacation home on one of the prettiest blocks in Cape May. Great memories to be made here.

The owners Michael and Alix were so wonderful and worked with us to make the trip for our mom's 80th Birthday very special despite having to reschedule due to COVID.The location couldn't have been more perfect! Easily walkable to everything that Cape May has to offer!Their home has the charm of a bygone era, which is what helps to make Cape May such a special place!

This home was perfect for our fall getaway. The house was filled with charm while still being updated and modern. The owners were so communicative and accommodating. We especially loved sitting out on the front porch watching the horses go by in the evening. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away!
