We had a very memorable stay and enjoyed the week, weather was good, view was great and was a short walk to the beach and playground.

We had a great week spending time on the front porch and a 10-15 min walk to Short Sands and Nubble Lighthouse. House and fixtures are older and charming, I think this is well represented in the pictures and was fine for us! Bathroom locations weren’t ideal, but it was workable. Host was great at communicating. Overall, I’d recommend this for the amazing views and location!

We really enjoyed our week at this house! Great views and location. Living areas were perfect for what we needed. I really love the large round tables in the dining room and on the porch - excellent for family dining and game playing. Wish we could have stayed another week!

We stayed here during the third week of October. We fell in love with pictures of the outside and the location, and it did not disappoint. Communication with Paula was outstanding, and she is just lovely in person! She personally meets you upon check-in and goes over everything you need to know. I personally liked the authentic old-fashioned decorating flourishes... so charming. We lucked out and had beautiful weather, sunny, mid-40s at night, mid-50-60s during the day. I believe we were the last guests of the season. The space heaters were sufficient at night keeping us plenty warm. We knew the bedrooms were upstairs and the bathrooms downstairs. Since we're all seniors, that did present a bit of a challenge at night, but we were ok with it. The location is wonderful with a view of the seacoast and surrounding lovely homes. It's very close to town, and we took several walks in the area. The place is well-equipped. It's an older home, but that adds to the charm. I was very impressed by how clean the entire place is....not easy being older and so near to ocean air!

Property was quaint and very, very nice. Neighborhood was great. Ocean view was spectacular! Everything in the house was as discribed and our hostess couldn't have been any nicer. Only thing that was uncomfortable and cumbersome were the upstairs bedrooms and the downstairs bathrooms being at total opposite ends of the house. For women of mote than middle age, it was a fete every night to get uo once or twice to use the facilities. We got through it and had a wonderful time.

Everything was exactly as advertised. Paula was a great host and a good communicator. Would definitely stay there again

My family and I have been coming to Maine for the past 10 summers. We have stayed at all kinds of properties. This is by far our favorite. It is perfect in every way! It offers the best of everything! Old school charm with all the modern amenities! We can’t wait to return next summer!

Made extensive use of that wonderful porch all day every day from sunrise until late evening. Rode bikes to the bagel basket for breakfast a few times, stopping at Nubble Light and Hartley Mason Reserve along the way. Loved being able to walk to all of the activities in Short Sands multiple times daily. Made other short trips to Marginal Way and Barnacle Billy’s in Ogunquit and The Deck at Dockside in York Harbor and the driving range at Cape Neddick Country Club. Mostly just enjoyed hanging out at the cottage.

This property is wonderful! So peaceful! Perfectly furnished! Loved the yard and the proximity to short sands. The host is super kind and accommodating! Highly recommended!

What a magnificent spot to enjoy York Beach while in the comfort of a loved home from another era. Tasteful and updated where appropriate, yet charming and quirky too. I’d stay here again, no question. Owner is an excellent communicator.

This property had all of us remembering places we stayed at that truly had old time beach/camp/cottage features blended in with updated furniture throughout. Yes the bathrooms are downstairs & the stairs have railings to manage just fine. Our long weekend in October only needed morning heat to take the chill out We loved meeting Paula & she answered any questions promptly The wrap around porch has amazing views of the waves crashing onto rocks off of short sands & was where most of our time was spent chilling We will definitely rent again for a longer stay Mike Jackie Justin Josh & Kate

We had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage. The view of the water is breathtaking and the location is perfect -- walkable to everything. And Paula is a gracious and welcoming host -- every step of the way, she was accommodating and wanted to ensure that we had everything we needed. What a great trip!

This house was a great place to stay. It is a perfect location. Short walk to Short Sands Beach and the lighthouse. Loved every moment. Paula was great to work with. I would definitely rent again.

We loved the location of this house! We were able to take a quick walk down to the Short Sands beach every day to hang out on the beach or go and get dinner. We walked to the ice cream stand and light house and took bike rides around the cape. The house was roomy enough and had everything we needed. I miss waking up to the ocean view already!

Renting was smooth and easy. Hoping to rent next summer as well!

Love the house

House was much more spacious than expected. Home and porches are well furnished with plenty of seating and tables to accommodate numerous guests. Home is full of character and history of many years of joyful memories. The walk to the beach is short, and most of it is along the picturesque rocky york cliffs. We will definitely book another stay at this specific location if available.

We spent Memorial Day weekend here with 3 pregnant couples and it rained all weekend. We needed to use the space heaters because the weather was low 50’s but it worked out fine. The main door brings you into the living room. From there you can head upstairs to the bedrooms, or head through the dining room to the kitchen. Off the kitchen are 2 bathrooms which was the only complaint from the mothers to be - a long walk late night if they need to use the bathroom on the first floor at the other end of the house. We knew what we signed up for, and you should be able to tell from the photos. This isn’t a 5 star resort, but it’s a cute older house with thin walls, and beautiful views. Tons of games too!

We were happy to find the place well-cleaned but many surprises awaited us: There is no central heating only numerous space heaters. It was unusually cold during our stay so we blew a fuse twice . Also the heaters were a concern--one got so hot that you could barely touch the plug. Also we were disappointed to find that there was no bathroom on the upper floor. This really should be included in the description. We had hoped to have our 90 YO old mom join us but there is no way she could have navigated the very steep stairs. As it was descending the stairs in the night wasn't so great. A sweet old place--clean but somewhat rundown-- in a sweet spot. Seemed over-priced for what it was

We had an amazing time at this cute and cozy house steps away from everything yet still private and quiet. We spent most of our time on the porch watching the waves and relaxing. Paula is amazing and was super helpful throughout the process! Five stars!

We had a high school friends gathering here for the weekend and enjoyed a beautiful weekend. A sweet vintage cottage in a great location.

The view is amazing, the porches are large and the furniture comfortable for relaxing while watching the ocean. The house is very clean and spacious, yet cozy. It has all the essentials, and our host, Paula, answered my email questions very promptly and completely. I highly recommend this spot for a vacation!
