The barn is absolutely stunning. It is so cosy and in the perfect location for walking routes and good pub food. Our hosts were brilliant, they provided fresh bread and eggs for our stay and were very helpful if we needed anything. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Beautiful spacious barn in the most peaceful of surroundings. Everything you need is here and more. We were two couples and were spoilt for choice when it came to the bedrooms and who was sleeping where! Our two dogs loved the outside which was fully enclosed and even got to use the dog wash house too. Our first visit to the Peak District and it didn’t disappoint. Rob and Rosie were the perfect hosts, the weather was glorious and the barn was wonderful. Highly recommended!

I could not recommend High Ridge barn or the hosts more highly. The barn is absolutely beautiful: the views are sublime, it is tastefully decorated and cleverly converted keeping original features while adding all the mod cons and absolutely everything you may need to feel at home away from home. Our children aged 9 and 10 loved it all, the garden, the sheep in the field next door, the hens, the birds, the board games, the dog grooming area, the fire place and of course the superfast wifi. The barn is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and we really enjoyed some fantastic walks soaking in the views and the pure air. The hosts were the kindest and most attentive I’ve met so far, they even set up an office for my husband to work in and provided alternative food for our dog when she refused her usual one. Stay at the barn if you get the chance, we will come back as soon as we can!

We had a fabulous time at High Ridge. Beautiful interior, the most comfortable beds and the best equipped kitchen I've ever seen. Rob and Rosie have thought of everything and are great hosts. We enjoyed a daily sauna after walking the local hills: highly recommended!

High Ridge Barn is an amazing place to rent. Rosie and Rob made us all feel very welcome and they was always available to help if required. It was a brilliant few days.

We had a lovely weekend at this gorgeous property. Rob and Rosie have thought of everything and are very accommodating. The property is decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard which helped make our stay perfect. The location is brilliant and there are some lovely walks right on the door step. The doggy barn was a huge bonus and the house was also very dog friendly. We had a fabulous time and would reccomend!

We had a lovely stay at High Ridge. The barn has been converted to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Scenery and views are amazing, There are lots of walks close by some straight from the property. I definitely recommend this property, the photos don't do it justice.

Our family gathered for a 'big' birthday celebration at beautiful High Ridge Barn. The barn and grounds were fantastic. Everything done to such a high specification with no expense spared. Rob and Rosie were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. 3 year old Jack loved feeding the chickens and playing in the garden with all the outdoor games provided. Marley the dog enjoyed a wash and blowdry in the pet parlour. The adults in the party loved relaxing in the sauna after a busy day. All the furnishings and bed linens were of the highest quality and the kitchen provided more gadgets than we could imagine. It was lovely to arrive to a fresh loaf of home made bread. cake and local brewery beer, as well as milk, tea etc. We highly recommend High Ridge Barn and thank Rob and Rosie for providing such a super property.

Beautiful Barn conversion set in picturesque and peaceful surroundings. The owners have thought of everything, from a dog grooming shed, slippers and dressing gowns, a lovely welcome package on arrival, and even offered to receive and put away our online shopping. Would highly recommend and will hopefully return again.

This property is beautiful and everything in it is high end quality. The 8 of us and dog had a fabulous time chilling out, playing boardgames and enjoyed a lovely bbq. Everything you could possibly need is provided and the welcome hamper is a lovely touch. Would definitely stay here again and recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious sanctuary. Driving into our place we were so pleased with the lovely surroundings both outside and inside the unit. Greeted enthusiastically by our hostess. Freshly baked loaf, bottle of homemade jam, baking and very local eggs awaited us. Unit had every item needed for a lovely stay. Assorted coffee makers, gas stove, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer. Luxurious towels and even bath robes. Everything was spotless, and we had no aversion to running around barefoot. (Shoes left in porch and slippers were provided). Advise that drive in is quite rustic. And do mind a triple layering of ground floor - so must watch out for step downs.

Having spent a wonderful family weekend at High Ridge Barn in September last year we were eager to return. We received a warm welcome from owners Rob and Rosie. The welcome pack is the best I’ve come across. Homemade bread, muffins, local beer and bottled water. 6 months on the barn is still in pristine condition. The weather was glorious and we were able to further explore the local area. Another great weekend.

We had a lovely break in the Peak District, and really enjoyed staying at High Ridge Barn. It’s newly refurbished, well designed, and stocked with everything we needed for our mixed troop of kids, teens, middlers and oldies. Rosie and Rob were so welcoming and really cared about the quality of our stay. Thoroughly recommend and hope to return in the future.

The property is wonderfully presented and is absolutely immaculate throughout. The furnishings and fittings are of an extremely high standard, it has been modernised with great care and detail whilst managing to retain character with its original features subtly positioned in each room. As soon as we entered the property we were immediately taken in by it’s cosy atmosphere which certainly helped us relax and enjoy the fabulous countryside and views. The surrounding area is simply beautiful. The property is ideally positioned for walking and exploring this exquisite part of the Peak District. On arrival, we were provided with a guided tour and the owners had baked us fresh bread and muffins and had left a few bottles of real ale from the Wincle Brewery, and some fresh eggs which was a lovely gesture. If you book this property, you will not be disappointed I promise. Thank you Rob and Rosie for an amazing break!

Sometimes reality does not match the anticipation. Nothing could be further from such at Highridge Barn as the”WoW” factor kicks in from the moment the outstanding hosts, Ron and Rosie, welcome you. The accommodation surpasses any anticipation from the pictures on the website - spacious, light, fitted out to the highest specification and equipped for every eventuality. The dog grooming facilities were so good that Grandpa contemplated using them as a private facility! The sauna is a must - as it is a proper sauna with cold (and hot!) shower. The scenery is stunning and the walks from the front door are awesome. By now you will have gleaned that our time in Highridge Barn was very, very special. Rob and Rosie have endeavoured to make your stay as special as they can - successfully; no self-catering accommodation will ever be the same again as they have set the benchmark very high indeed.
