it was clean, and the supplied towels etc were clean.

the room is basic, a bed and a settee,a small bar fridge on the floor. No tables or cutlery, shower had no soap holder, handbasin is narrow and tap almost in the basin, making filling the kettle very difficult, i.e. by cup.

The bar and bistro area was nice and clean which was surprising considering the standard of the upstairs rooms. The bed was clean that was one thing

Upstairs was filthy, my room had a dirty glass from the bar on the window sill, the cup and spoon were dirty, struggled to get water in the kettle due to the tinny basin, window did not close, carpet was .... well I would not stand on it with bare feet.

The staff were pleasant

The room was very basic and tatty. No surface space in bathroom, just a sink. No soap holder in shower. Shower head drooped and was unable to be tightened. My first night there were two men cleaning the kitchen exhaust fans literally right outside my bedroom window until after midnight. Walking around on a flat tin roof the noise was intrusive.

Location Needed an scheduled stop to break 10 hour trip So much for the most expensive room in entire trip and had no sleep - noisy unclean and definitely overpriced For older people and those with disabilities, the rooms are reached by a rabbit warren of stairwells, hence could only take limited luggage upstairs We would have cancelled this if it had been possible Also very concerned about booking in requirements.

No milk, no safe outlet to boil kettle Felt very unclean and trapped in this massively overpriced room

To be honest we expected something a bit dingy and basic, being a room above a pub. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually quite nice and very comfortable. They had left nicely folded, clean towels waiting on the bed with little toiletries. There was a kettle and coffee/tea inside the wardrobe and little milks in the bar fridge. The bed was comfy, there was plenty of space to get ready to go out, and the bathroom was quite nice. The staff member who showed us to our room was very friendly.

Honestly, the only minor issues were the sound of traffic early in the morning and the light coming in from the side of the roller blind waking me up (but to be fair I'm a light sleeper).

The location is good and easy to access

The staff told me I can storage my bag the next day, but the next day in the morning when I go to the ground floor, nobody there and I saw a woman doing cleaning, I knocked the door and she saw me already, however, she ignore it and continuing her thing as if nothing happened, I’m just feel bad with it

Staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful.

Shower was very finicky to get in between boiling hot and freezing. Pressure as expected for hotel room.

Very overpriced. This was incredibly bare bones, which is fine, but $160 a night is a complete joke for what we got. Needs a good refurb and a refit before they can charge that price for their rooms.
