Excellent place to stay

Barn Loft was cute, quiet, clean, furnishings were eclectic!!! The "shower" presented a bit of a challenge for entering and exiting. Beds were comfortable, but glad I brought my own pillow. After a long day touring, were glad to veg out with Roku. The main parking lot was a bit dark (time change no help). May we suggest some motion lights positioned close to ground, so not to bother neighbors. Give the place a 4.5 ****.* Owners were great to work with!!

Wonderful place for a getaway. Restaurants and shops within minutes of walking distance! Cottages are charming, private and very clean! Experience was totally wonderful!

This is our third year staying here. The property is very convenient to stay with kids. Lots of restaurants, playgrounds and fountains nearby to walk to with the kids. Everything you could need is provided at the house and the owner is very receptive and quick to answer and questions. Love staying here!

The Barn Loft was perfect for our group of 4. Well stocked kitchen, comfy furniture and beds. Within walking distance to shopping and dining. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Basically 5 Stars !! Very Clean and tidy two bedrooms . Host kept in contact for any needs (which we didn't have because everything we needed was already at the cottage ) Walking distance to shops and restaurants in beautiful Summerville. Half hour drive into Charleston . Highly recommended

Loved the barn it was close to downtown and great place to stay

I can't wait to come back! This home was exactly as described in the listing in every way. It's tucked away in a peaceful area. The walk to the home instantly transitions you to a place of peace. Once you're inside you instantly feel welcome even though no one is there. This is from the personal touches, to the furniture, and all of the essentials you could think you may need or more for your stay. Everything was super clean, neat and cozy. I wish we couldve taken the beds home with us. Lol! We could've stayed in bed the entire weekend because it was so comfy and the bedding just wraps and warms you up perfectly. If you can make it out of bed, you'll love how it's just steps away from great stores, churches and restaurants. I enjoyed walking the area and taking in the beautiful breezes that early December offered. This cozy cottage was a perfect home away from home for my first weekend visiting SC. You guys sure know how to make a lasting impression! Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to get to and near downtown Summerville. The cottage was neat and clean. If you had any questions, someone was available to answer them.

I am a repeat visitor and love everything about this home. It's the perfect size and has everything you need. Clean, friendly neighborhood and in downtown Summerville. We always enjoy walking downtown within a few steps away. This is our go to VrBo when we visit Summerville.

We stayed at the cozy cottage and it had everything we needed. We were so comfortable there. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops in town. Can’t wait to visit again.

We have stayed at this property the past two years to visit family that lives in Summerville. Not only is it close to family, but close to all kinds of restaurants, bars and playground for the kids. It is also only about 30 minutes into Charleston downtown. We love staying here and plan to continue to do so in the future! The owners and Laura are great and available immediately whenever we had questions.

Arrived and home was even better than expected! We have stayed at many Vrbos and this is by far our favorite! Everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We will be back regularly due to close family living within walking distance.

The only complaint we had was that the shower was a bit claustrophobic in the barn cottage. Also some kind of hand grip would be helpful getting in and out of the shower. I did not pay attention to what the bathroom looked like in the pictures. If you have arthritis in your knees or short it’s a little tricksy. Everything else was great. Clean, bed was comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. It’s a lovely space. Great options for dining with a five min walk. Again the shower situation was my only complaint and I should have looked closer at the pictures. Thanks for a great stay.

This cottage was perfect for my sister and I. We had everything we needed plus more! The entire cottage was clean and cozy. Owners and housekeeper checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed, which really shows they care! If your looking to book a trip in Summerville or around the area, book this!

MY DAUGHTER AND I HAD A WONDERFUL STAY. THIS WAS HER COLLEGE GRADUATION GIFT FROM ME TO HER. SHE CHOSE CHARLESTON AS THE DESTINATION, BUT I BOOKED THE STAY. I WOULD NOT LET HER SEE THE PLACE UNTIL WE ACTUALLY ARRIVED. SHE WAS COMPLETELY ENCHANTED. WE POSTED PICTURES AND EVERYONE LOVED THE PLACE. I WOULD DEFINITELY BOOK THE BARN LOFT AGAIN.

This was an amazing place to stay in Summerville which is a great quaint little town w such personality. The innkeeper, Lauren, was so patient and helpful to meet whatever requests we had such as turning the outdoor lighting off a little early or helping us change our reservation last minute when we had a sudden change of plans. The cottage was so comfortable and clean. We look forward to staying at the Short Central Cottages again!

We really enjoyed our stay under the circumstances. We had to come back to Summerville for a funeral. The owners and Lauren made our stay very relaxing. Our stay at this charming cottage made our weekend getaway to Summerville even more memorable. The cottage was beautifully decorated with all the little touches that made it feel like home. Walking to town was a favorite activity while we were there with many shops and restaurants to visit. The innkeeper kept in touch with us and was very helpful. We plan on coming back soon!

This was a great home base for our family while we visited relatives in the area. We loved walking to the parks and shops nearby.

We absolutely loved our stay. The property was gorgeous, and the cabin was full of so many sweet details and decor- the pictures don’t do it justice. The location meant we could walk to eat dinner and to the antique store at the end of the driveway, which was perfect after spending the day in busy Charleston. Communication throughout was beyond amazing. We look forward to staying again!
