Stella’s Hideaway is the best place we’ve stayed at in the UP. Our family has been coming up to the UP in the spring for the past 5 years and have stayed at numerous VRBO homes in various states. This home was by far the best. It has everything you need in the home. It has plenty of bedrooms that made it perfect for our adult kids and our grandkids to have a room. It’s fully stocked and the owner provides a special bowl of MI made snacks. It’s very clean. The owner was very nice to deal with. And, we could bring our 2 little yorkies on vacation with us. I am familiar with the area, I knew which places we wanted to drive to. This home was in the perfect location for about a 20 mile drive to where we wanted to go. Being right on Lake Superior we were able to find the glowing stones there and on nearby beaches. Close to Copper Harbor and Seaman museum in Houghton and Jam Pot in Eagle Harbor. It’d be great to stay here during the warmer weather as they provide many kayaks, bikes, outdoor games. Would definitely stay here again.

It was exactly what we needed and wanted in our getaway. Beautifully set on the shores of Superior. Lots of room in the house and on the beach. Will definitely be staying here again! Sauna is perfect as well for a little unwinding. The sounds of the waves put me right to sleep at night

Such an amazing place and the views are spectacular!!! Everything you need is all right there for you and you’re not too far from town if you need anything else! Don’t forget to try out the sauna, you will love it! We’ll definitely be back!!!!

The property was easy to find and the view was gorgeous. Plenty of room for us and both of our kids to be together or get away from each other. Disappointed that there was no snow but the house had plenty of puzzles and games that we enjoyed. Communication with the property owner was excellent. Have already booked the next stay!

Stella’s Hideaway was great for our family trip to visit our son at Michigan Tech. The sauna and beach were awesome, and the location was convenient to Calumet. The home is stocked really well, and offered all the comforts of home.

House was very accommodating, ease to beach. Safe, felt just like home.

We had a wonderful time using Stella’s Hideaway as a base camp to explore the Keweenaw. It was exactly as described, with plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and inviting. There were helpful notes about what to see and do both on the property and in the area. We are already discussing our next trip and how we will bring others with us to enjoy this beautiful home on the shore.

Beautiful setting on shores of Lake Superior. House is comfortable and clean. Kitchen is well stock with everything you need to cook and some pantry staples. Plenty of room to spread out. Plenty of essentials like soap, shampoo, hair dryers, beach towels. Nice assortment of recreational toys- bikes, kayaks,scooters, yard games. Our favorite vacation home. We already have reservations for our next stay.

Stella's has to be the best place in the area! Beautiful views don't even begin to describe it. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Couldn't be more perfect. Have stayed before, will stay again!

My partner and I (and our dog!) loved our stay at Stella's Hideaway! I truly can't recommend the house enough. The view of the lake is breathtaking and the shore access was a treat. We also loved being able to easily walk to the local park and park trail. The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of space. The hosts have done an incredibly thoughtful job creating an inviting and memorable place. We hope to return sooner rather than later!

Exactly what we needed. Warm and homey cottage with everything you could want or need. Private beach plus only a mile away from Calumet Water Works Beach- rock hunter’s paradise! We found agates, prehnite, quartz, jasper, rhyolite, amygdaloidal basalt, banded chert, yooperlites, and many others. Even though we had a lot of rain, we still went hiking in Gardners Nature area, Black River Sanctuary, and Horseshoe Harbor (which is beautiful). Sadly Brockway Mnt Rd was still closed for the season, but we did find a mineral store in Copper Harbor and bought a gorgeous piece of float copper. Always something to do in this area rain or shine. And so awesome to come home to Stella’s after a day of adventure! We will be coming back!

Stella's Hideaway is perfect for a large number of guests. The views are AMAZING. So many extra touches with books, games, treats, etc. Had a wonderful time!

First off I have to say Keith really has an eye for detail , he has thought of everything! The house is equipped with everything you need from a great reading library to all the sporting goods you could want. The view is just incredible ,the house is very comfortable and inviting . There were even local goodies in a welcome basket and a bottle of wine , we went out and bought a bunch to take home (fudge pasties)! Keith lives next door but you would never know anybody is around it feels really private. All in all this is one of our favorite places we have stayed top notch all the way. Thank you Keith for everything we really enjoyed it !

This home was everything it was advertised to be AND MORE. Stella's Hideaway is a beautiful home right on the shore of Lake Superior. It was very clean, comfortable and cozy and had all the amenities you would have at home. There was also a great selection of books, games and outdoor activities available. It was a joy to wake up in the morning, after a very comfortable nights sleep, to those wonderful lake views. We can't wait to come back.

We had the most relaxing and comfortable stay in this home. The views are stunning, the house is beautiful, clean and there is everything you could possibly need. We loved walking in the park just up the road (Gardeners nature trails) and cross country skiing Sweedtown). The town of Calumet is only 10 minutes away and has nice bars and restaurants with super friendly service. We will be back as soon as we can!

We, a family of 8, stayed for 3 nights. Plenty rooms, games, books for all age groups, from infant to senior. We enjoyed the winds and waves of the lake superior. Stary night without light polution is a memorable moment. Definitely I will revisit with my family!!

Keith was most helpful and accommodating, and even gave us the heads up on witnessing the most incredible northern lights show we’ve ever experienced! The sauna was peaceful and therapeutic, the views are amazing, and the Klask was epic! And the pups loved sniffing the freshest air on the planet.

The host is collaborative but unobtrusive.

This is our second year staying here and for good reason. The place is perfect, the views are always awesome and the sauna is a great plus. We’ll be back!
