The hotel was really nice, offering a really good breakfast right beside the sea and with amazing views. The room was very spacious and cozy making the stay really enjoyable. The location was quiet, but it was close to everything that you could ever need.

A beautiful compound which actually manages to deliver everything needed for a hassle-free get-away

It's hard to get around the compound. The taxis are friendly but it takes a lot of time to get them. Recommended to rent or bring a bike. The location maps are not accurate anymore, some areas have closed or have been repurposed.

Not all the facilities were open, for instance one of the restaurants. There was also no massage. Probably all due to covid and staff shortages (so we were told) otherwise great stay.

I enjoyed my stay but was absolutely disgusted in the way I was treated on check out , I was given a bill for 1400 baht for tiny different marks and stains on the bedsheets , a total of 7 different occasions of which was photographed by the maid ( the maid who took my tip every day ) surely laundry is part of the service you pay for in your accommodation costs , very very poor customer service and I will not go back because of this petty and underhanded behaviour

The hotel is within a huge complex of other hotels and we had to either walk a fair distance or request the staff to take you in the buggy each time to the restaurant or beach etc. sometimes the wait was around 20 minutes to go home in the evening. The pool in the photo on booking.com looks huge and has an Al fresco eating area etc.. the pool was a lap pool on the roof and there was no outside dining as all the marina sands part of the complex was shut. They could have advised us prior to booking. We chose this hotel due to it having a kids club. There was one but it was locked and I didn’t see it open once in our 4 night stay. Shame as that was the reason for us choosing here. Lastly, booking.com said the room we chose accommodated our family of 4, when the free cancellation period was up the hotel messaged and requested an additional 750 baht per night for having a sofa bed made up, despite me confining they could accomodate us all via email prior with no additional cost as per website. It was messy and lots of emails and they finally apologised and said no extra cost applicable.

We loved our stay at Maria Sands. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and with a lovely view. Rooms were cleaned daily and were large and spacious, especially the bathroom which was great. All staff were friendly and smiley, they helped us rent a motorbike and take part in activities on the resort. They also helped us book the ferry to Koh Kood. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Golf course was not the greatest but understandable as only small course and you get what you pay for.

All the amenities were really nice. The private beach area was amazing. The rooms was clean and the beds really comfortable. The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful.

The WiFi was quite spotty at times. Beware of small hidden costs here that are not spoken of before but then sprung upon you during your stay. That being said, make sure your budget is a little bit bigger as things tend to get quite pricey here

No complaints at all.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable with extras such as coffee, tea and bottled water whenever needed. Really tasty food, if a little expensive, at the beach restaurant. Great selection of different pools and amazing private beaches. Definitely recommend the half moon beach which was much more sheltered and quieter than the main beach with beautiful shallow water and no waves!

Facilities were lacking since it was low season (August) so bars by the pools were not open which was disappointing. The resort is very spread out and so need to contact reception for a lift to different places around the resort which is a little inconvenient at times. The shuttle to the ferry is a way overpriced and had to pay 200 baht for a journey just down the road to the ferry port!!!
