What a brilliant place, located at the end of a quiet country road and surrounded by wooded hills. The room was very cosy and the ensuite shower room well equipped. Had a very nice, if simple, meal with a bottle of Rioja Joven in the restaurant for very little money and the breakfast was equally top value. But best of all was the attention of the staff, really made my visit.

So much character and in a wonderful location. A really memorable stay - in a good way. We also had a lovely evening meal in grand surroundings for an extremely reasonable price. Loads of parking too. Perfect.

Loved the peace and tranquility. The rooms were very comfortable. Dinner was a simple choice but delicious. For breakfast were the largest and best croissants I have ever seen.

Very unique location and accommodation. Excellent value meal in the restaurant. Great nearby forest walks. Really interesting history to the monastery. Very nice on-site products available in the monastery shop.

Stayed here twice before. It is a Monastery in the middle of nowhere. So quiet.

The location was overwhelming, so so beautiful and silent. The monastery amazing, with santuario and shop for souvenirs. inside a small museum and inner patio beautiful. Lots of different walks around the monastery and a cafe which is open all day.

Absolutely everything! This is one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed! It's so peaceful and scenic. There are beautiful local walks and every member of staff was so helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant serves great food at an amazing value. I can't recommend enough! We will definitely revisit, hopefully many times.

The location is stunning, the ride there was full of twisty roads. The views are absolutely amazing. The room was comfortable and clean. The food in the cafe and restaurant was basic but filling. The staff were great. We had it all to ourselves which was very special.

Everything was brilliant

Extraordinary location in a historic monastery, in the midst of a steep valley and at the end of a dead-end road. Wonderful atmosphere and views. Fascinating region with spectacular villages and lots of opportunities for hiking, sightseeing, birdwatching etc., and also truly a spiritual place. It was so nice to wake up to bird song and the sounds of nature.

A very different, but lovely place to stay. Very peaceful and unique experience. Peaceful, good access to walks and 'simple'. Gave everything we needed without the frills of a normal hotel.

Nothing really. Didn't have a tv which given the style of the place was a good thing.
