So if you want a sandals experience go have it. But for my husband and our best friends (another couple) we loved the serenity of the quieter side of Exuma, the insane view right off the huge back porch, swimming and fishing just feet from where we sleep, a full kitchen, lots of room, a gracious and attentive lovely French host, and the bluest water I’ve ever seen. Do you want to stay in a complex with lots of people on the beach? Well this isn’t your place. Do you want quiet blue waters, fish jumping, the sounds of the water lapping against the shore, and so much beauty it makes you want to cry? Well come stay here. Ps. Yes the the road is full of potholes on the way over. Most of that southern side of the island is like that. Drive slowly, avoid the potholes, don’t drive like an imbecile and you and your car will be just fine. Rent a car. Go to little Exuma. Eat at Santanna’s. Go to Tropic of Cancer beach. Rent a boat for a few days from browns marine (practically across the street) and explore Elizabeth harbor. Be adventurous. Eat with the locals. And fall into your comfortable bed with a smile on your face and a little too much sun on your shoulders. Best couples trip we’ve ever been on. Hands down. We will be back.

My wife and I and our 9 year old stayed for a week, with my parents staying in the downstairs apartment. The vacation was perfect. Jean-Louis was away, but Jackie was the perfect hostess. We had everything we needed for a beach vacation, including beach chairs, coolers, etc. The house is very clean and modern. We particularly enjoyed hanging out on the balcony, eating dinner and watching spectacular sunsets. Rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle and maneuver the island roads slowly. We would definitely recommend this property.

This property is very special. Our hosts created a wonderful spot for the perfect getaway. The house has everything you could need and is literally situated right on the water. It's west facing so you are treated to a spectacular sunset every evening. Our hosts were a wealth of great information with suggestions of places to eat and spots to visit. They warmly greeted us upon arrival and walked us through the features of the home. They had even picked up a few supplies for us knowing that the grocery store would be closed when we arrived. We also found that this home had a great location on Exuma as it was an easy trip to Georgetown which was where we picked up our boat rental (we rented a 17 ft Whaler for three days from Minn's which we would highly recommend). It is also an easy ride down to Little Exuma where you can find beautiful beaches and fun places to eat. We suggest renting a jeep as some of the roads off the main highway were a bit rugged. Because our place was so lovely and the sunsets were so nice, we picked up dinner a few nights to eat on the veranda. Overall, we did find dining out to be expensive which is also why we enjoyed bringing food in from the fish fry or Sonia's (in Georgetown). The portions everywhere are quite generous so one meal often turned into two or three meals:). It was also very quiet at night and the lack of ambient light made the star gazing really amazing. A truly special place! We cannot thank our hosts enough for their warmth and caring!

We spent our family Christmas and New Years at Bonefish Bella Vista and had a wonderful stay! The spot is away from the downtown of Georgetown but a quick 15 minute drive to find what you need. We arrived a little early so the house was still being cleaned and once we go inside it was lovely. The view is amazing - you can see both the sunrise and sunset over the flats and beautiful water! The deck was amazing to sip coffee and wine, depending on the time of day. All necessities and then some were available for our stay (extra kitchen supplies, kayaks, snorkels, floats, etc). We LOVED how the beachfront was super accessible and had the only 'cove' area protected by large rocks. This made for great and easy floating in the sunshine without any current or waves. The location is very quiet with very minimal motorized boats. The island is quiet and not very touristy which is super appealing. It was tough coming in on a holiday but Jean Louis and Jackie were so helpful when we arrived - pointing out not only all the house had to offer but where to get supplies. They made a fantastic recommendation for fish in town and even helped get reservations for our New Years Eve! Great tips for places to explore and the island itself. They were there if we needed them but gave us space as well to enjoy our time. It was exactly what we needed for our vacation! Thank you Jean Louis and Jackie! We will be back!

What a great apartment and excellent hosts. We will stay there again The only downside was the state of the road to the accommodation.

My family and I spent a week at the property. We arrived on Sunday after 6:00pm and Jean-Louie and Jacqueline were kind enough to reach out in advance to offer to get some food items so we could have something Monday morning before the stores opened. They were also great on Sunday night when we got ourselves turned around on the roads on the way to the apartment. The property itself was perfect for my family of four. The private beach was beautiful and we used it several times. My 11 yo loved snorkeling by the rocks 15 feet offshore where there were colorful fish living right there. We kayaked to the bonefish flats one evening, easy and fun for all four of us. The view is fantastic all day long. The hosts have a great set up for guests and were so informative and sweet. It really helped to have the packet of information about the island that they sent in advance of our stay. The location is really close to all the beaches we wanted to see and wonderful restaurants. It was really a vacation of a lifetime for us!

Jean-Louis and Jackie's property is gorgeous and is exactly as pictured in the photos. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Jean-Louis and Jackie went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Checking in to see if we needed anything or to offer up suggestions for activities on the island. They provide everything you could need. Snorkeling gear, beach towels, coolers, beach toys and chairs. It was all much appreciated. Thanks again Jean-Louis and Jackie. We really enjoyed out stay on the property. It was close to everything, yet private enough to feel as if we had the whole island to ourselves. Monica was there to greet us and made our entire stay perfect. The house was amazing and had everthing we needed. We can’t wait to stay again.

Jean-Louis and Jackie were great hosts and the property was fantastic! You are literally steps away from the ocean and there is a huge sandbar about 100 feet out. They have chairs, an umbrella, life vests, kayaks, pool floats, snorkeling gear, coolers: everything you need for a day in the beach! The little cove in front of the house was perfect for our 2 year old; not too choppy and just the right height at low tide. We enjoyed having the hosts next door because it was our first time in the Bahamas. It was nice to say hello to them and get food recommendations.

The reviews you read here are 100% accurate. The hosts go out of their way to make everything seamless without being overbearing. Private location, great views, comfortable accommodations, and a well-stocked kitchen just to mention a few things. You feel like you have an advocate in Jean Louis and Jackie while on Exuma. Speaking of Exuma, we loved it. The people are very friendly and helpful. Be sure and visit Tropic of Cancer beach; it's exceptional and probably the prettiest I've ever seen. Our little family of three could not have asked for a better place to stay during our recent trip to Exuma. The house is well maintained and clean, and has beautiful views of the flats from the balcony. We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore the ocean outside, and were never disappointed by our hosts recommendations of places to see or eat. We greatly enjoyed our time in Exuma and much of that was thanks to the accommodations and the hospitality of Jean Louis and Jackie. If you are looking for stunning views, beautiful water, lovely sunsets, gracious hosts, and a feeling that the whole island is just for you then look no further. This is your place. Jacqui and Jean-Louis have provided the perfect get-away. You are steps to the beach with all sorts of amenities supplied: beach towels, chairs, umbrella, kayaks, life jackets, snorkel gear, etc. They even went out of their way to pick up some groceries for us as we arrived on a Sunday afternoon after the stores had closed.

What a wonderful trip! Much due to Jean-Louis and Jaqueline our excellent hosts. Thank you for your generous hospitality. It was a blessing to my family and myself. Where to start? My family and I summed up our 2 weeks in Exuma as perfect balance of rest & adventure. There was a comfortable sense of escapism for the days we wanted to detach and read a good book on the patio or beach or play some cards as a family in the open living space. But the property had so much to do outdoors and has a great proximity to many adventures. Several times, at low tide, we kayaked and walked to the secluded island just out our back door for a day in paradise without seeing another soul. We'd also just snorkel for hours right on the private beach. There was plenty of animal life along the way swimming with sea turtles, crabs, and all the coral life within feet of stepping into the crystal clear waters. The property is so close to George Town, that it was only a 5min drive to anything we might've needed. As much as an amazing day we had on our full day excursion with Exuma Water Sports (a must), we also had many adventures and full bellies at all the nearby beaches and restaurants. A quick list of musts (many and our hosts recommendation)...Tropic of Cancer Beach was amazing, close and no one around...Hit up Blue on the Water for lunch on the way over. Definitely spend a day out at Stocking Island at Chat N Chill. Hooper's Bay Beach is a must if you want to just hang with cuddly sea turtles on an amazing beach for as long as you want. Grab a beverage at Sherie's shack in GeorgeTown and then some of the best food right behind it. The setting might look a little sus, but you should definitely try it. And the family working hard to run it was so pleasant. Everywhere we went was very family friendly and our boys (as adventuresome as they are) had a great time with everything we did. The wildlife and yummy food was their favorite. At the core of this great trip was the Bonefish BellaVista property and it's beautiful hosts. Jean-Louis and Jacqueline were incredible host. They have provided everything you will need for an awesome stay. They offered to assist us in any way. They are truly wonderful people. The house was everything we expected and more. The view is awesome and you can walk right out of the house into the water. The house is located in a very convenient area. It is only 5 minutes to Georgetown and centrally located between all the wonderful beaches. We will definitely return to Exuma and stay with Jean-Louis and Jacqueline.

My family of 4 stayed here and had a wonderful time! Jacqueline and Jean-Louis are fantastic hosts - they make you feel like you are family staying at their home and they genuinely want you to have a good vacation. The pictures online honestly don’t do it justice! The huge porch is the star of the show with the beautiful views of the sandbar right out front. My kids enjoyed spotting sea turtles every morning and getting to walk down to the beach and wade in the water. The house was perfect for us with plenty of space to spread out and they provide everything you could need including beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. You can tell how much pride and effort they put into maintaining their property and that they treat it as a home, rather than just a place they rent. We would be happy to rent from them again if we come back! Thank you, Jacqueline and Jean-Louis!

There are no words to describe this gorgeous home! The views are some of the most beautiful that we’ve ever seen, and from every room. Jean Louis and Jackie are incredible hosts, and haven’t missed a single detail in making this an absolutely unforgettable vacation. They have truly put their love and attention into it in every way. The home is clean, private and has everything you need. There are kayaks, snorkeling gear, etc. for the water. You can practically walk to a gorgeous sandbar, but the private beach is really all you need. It was so relaxing to hear the waves gently coming in, it’s just what we needed. We miss being there already! Thank you Jean Louis and Jackie for everything!

We have rented from Jean-Louis and Jackie numerous times now. Their property is in excellent shape and has every amenity you would need for a stay in Exuma. The air conditioning works great and the afternoon views from the porch are remarkable. There are multiple Jatakas available for use, along with beach chairs, an umbrella, etc. Jackie & Jean-Louis are incredibly gracious hosts and we’ll be back soon.

What can I say about this wonderful place! I almost don't want to share how wonderful this place is but God created places like this so that we can experience them. This place had all we needed from the kitchen to washing clothes, kayaks, snorkel gear and when I walked in I had a bottle of wine and fruit waiting for us. The beach was right at your door, a sand bar where you can see all kinds of sea life. Me and my daughter kayaked to the private island across from this place and it was beautiful! We snorkeled for hours and got to see huge barracudas, black tip shark, all other kinds of fish, and had it all to ourselves. The owners are the best they were attentive, helped us in every way. They where there if we needed anything. I felt safe and welcomed. We couldn't have asked for better owners. The locals are so friendly and always willing to help. All I can say is this is an amazing gem in Exuma. It past my expectations in every way! We will definitely be back to enjoy this little part of heaven on earth! Thank you Jackeline and Jean for your hospitality and for treating us like family!! We enjoyed every bit of our time in your beautiful home. My husband and two daughters just returned from Exuma and we had a fantastic time! The house was just lovely and immaculate inside! It was exactly as depicted in the pictures. The view was beautiful and the location on the flats very peaceful. The owners were extremely helpful, prompt to answer any questions, and provided a lot of information about the island prior to us arriving. We will definitely book there again when returning to Exuma!
