This was the first time with our family renting a VRBO. The house was very nice and clean and there was plenty of room for 10 of us. The view of the lake was nice and it was very convenient being only about a 5 minute drive into town. We were a little disappointed with the pier which turned out to be two rafts hooked together made from wood. They were not very steady for my grandchildren, jumping off and swimming in the lake. Overall it was very nice and we would recommend the house and would probably rent it again.

We used this house last year and liked it so much that we came back. The house has been updated and in good condition. It easily fits our whole family and the kids loved swimming in the lake. I highly recommend it.

We had so much fun! It was perfect location. Close to everything, yet nice and quiet. Tranquility on the lake with the excitement and ease of being super close to town. Everyone I'd very nice and extremely helpful.

There were 23 of my family visiting, with children's ages 1 - 18, and there was something for everyone. George was especially helpful and friendly.

We have made reservations for next year because of this house and ahelpful team who is willing to take suggestions and upgrade. Team is great and more than willing to help out renters.

Let me start off with saying, this property has potential. HOWEVER, these pictures are not accurate. It is poorly cared for and it was embarrassing staying there and inviting family that paid half! We arrived and instantly noticed a sewage odor through the house, checking all rooms, confirming it was coming from the drains. The carpets are disgusting and left my 8 months old pants (knees) stained. The couch is dirty and torn and we had to put blankets on it. It needs replaced. There were mice feces under the cushions, on the floor behind the couch and by the fireplace. The place was NOT cleaned prior to our arrival. There was a huge chunk of the fireplace that was broke, leaving sharp edges exposed. We had to line pillows along the edge. Very dangerous for my crawling 8 month old and 2 year old. There were stains on the bed sheets. Thankfully we brought blankets for the 10 hour drive. The master bedroom shower was leaking upon arrival and there was water all over the floor. Maintenance apparently couldn't fix it until we left. Housekeeping came by the second day to vacuum again though it didn't help much. Carpet needs replaced or at minimum professional cleaned. Bring your own utensils because the ones there are rusted, along with some appliances like the toaster. Absolutely horrible rental for the price per day. The manager did give us some money refunded, however, we should have been offered a full refund so we could have went somewhere else because it should not be rentable. Oh yeah, that reminds me, the health inspection certificate AND the tourist rooming house permit were both 2 years expired. The place is accommodating for a larger family and had a great view of the lake. I would highly suggest you to call and ask if the house has been updated recently. If it hasn't been updated, inspected and professionally cleaned after 1/1/22, I suggest you not to spend your money on this rental.

Sand County has always provided us with a great vacation. I am hoping our experience this year is a one off and we can discuss my comments by phone. Generally the team has been very accommodating and helpful. We did have a difficult time reaching people after hours, but that might be expected in these times. Eventually did get ahold of after hours emergency number and got assistance.

Enjoyed our stay at Lakehaus 1 and spending time with family. Your team was knowledgeable and friendly.

Very nice The best

Lakehaus was wonderful. We had to cancel our original vacation plans and renting a house in WI was very much a Plan B. We've travelled all over the world but this will be remembered as one of my favorite trips. The house had everything you could ask for, the view over the lake was beautiful, and we had amazing family time swimming/kayaking/lounging/reading/grilling/playing games/watching movies...The house is set up perfectly for everyone to eat and hang together but still give everyone their private space. And literally everything you need can be found in a drawer or cabinet! We were there 10 days and didn't want to leave! I was very impressed with George when I first called but I soon found out Tammy is just as helpful. George was extremely knowledgable about the area and helped us to choose the best house given our priorities. Later I had some questions about services in the area and Tammy was just great. George made check in and check out absolutely seamless - and he has a great sense of humor!

This facility is perfect for our group of 10. Plenty of room for sleeping, relaxing, and kicking back both indoors and out. Went fishing this weekend and caught 40 bluegills in just over an hour. Left them in the lake for the next group. Everything is always clean and fresh! A great getaway! House was not heating. Called after waiting 4 hours for furnace to work. Team member arrived in 15 minutes and found the boiler pilot was out. Problem resolved, went for dinner and house was warm when we returned. We have been using Sand County for over 30 years for our annual event. Always a clean well furnished environment. We enjoy the benefits of being able to relax in peace and quiet, yet within a few miles to all the amenities.

Lakehaus itself was perfect for our needs. We really liked the non-motorized water sports, the deck and fire pit, and the swimming raft. A sandy beach access would have made it perfect! The house was very clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated and looked like new! We had last rented from Sand County 27 years ago. Service, accommodations and affordability were as good as I remembered from then! Will definitely rent again!

Really enjoyed the Lakehaus. It was our first visit in this property and we are dissappointed it will be gone. Thank you for the great weekend. They are the bomb. Always helpful and very accomodating. e been using Sand County for our vacation rentals for 25 years. Have never been dissappointed.

The setting for the house is spectacular. Taking the boats out in Blass Lake was a highlight of our trip. The house is ok, the cleaners could do a better job at vacuuming (& only slightly moving furniture aside to get the trash left behind by previous guests - candy wrappers and broken pieces of the radio antenna and large dust bunnies). The owner could spend minimally to replace the decades old toaster and vacuum cleaner (I pity the person who has to lug that upstairs), the broken/missing piece of the kitchen sink faucet, & repair the papasan chair. The pillows that match the bedspreads appear to not have been laundered in a long time, two upstairs bearing a suspicious white stain. The furniture is worn but fine for a rented-out lakehouse where people are likely to be wet most of the time. Positives: the downstairs tv is nice and actually has usb/hdmi ports, the washer & dryer are new and a lifesaver, and the boats make it so much fun. Overall we really enjoyed our time there but would probably not stay there again.

So much potential in this property but unfortunately it is not maintained. Furnishings are not just old, but extremely worn and sadly everything is very dirty, EVERYTHING! The WiFi does not work, the gas grill does not have a butane tank, kitchen and bath has ants, and boats were left in water full of filth! And...the house is next door to a vacant property that should be condemned! Seriously, disgusting!! So sad, because the Lakehause it is in a great location, has beautiful views of lake and quite spacious. Sadly, we would not consider this property again unless it was renovated and a management company actually cared about cleaning it!
