One of the prettiest beaches on the island! Our unit was very clean and nicely decorated. It was fun to drive the golf cart to the beach. Only reason there aren’t 5 stars is that we lost power 4 different days. A generator would be nice!

Reviewer Comments: Bottom Line Up Front: No A/C in the master bedroom or living room for the entire stay, unable to secure house (master bedroom rear door would not lock) entire stay, finally unable to secure valuables in Master Room Safe (literally did not function, deadbolts where extended, meaning I needed a code to retract them.Recommendations:1- Maintenance personnel need to ensure all things are in working order prior to guest arrival2- Once the guest report issues to maintenance it is not the responsibility of the guest to continually follow up on facility issues nor is it the guest's responsibility to discover major mechanical problems on 1st day of vacation.

The condo comes with a golf cart that you can explore the property. The condo has all the amenities that you need to enjoy yourself. The property has a great pool for the kids to swim and plenty of lounge chairs to relax. The staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable whether it was recommending a local restaurant, grocery store, nearest ATM or gas station, or even a local beach to explore.

He helped me with the price significantly. When we got there however, there was one room that I got instead of another from what I reserved. In the main lodge's loft, there is no AC which made it uncomfortable for my children, the washing machine was not hooked up and the stove, fridge and sink were dirty. In addition, there was no hot water. In a few of the other condos, there were lizards and bugs issue as well as lack of hot water.
I'm saying all this to let you know that no situation was perfect but this is by far the BEST AND NICEST PLACE IN ELEUTHERA. If you visit, you should do so at this property. They have a pool, golf carts, kayaks, paddle board and bicycles. You didn't have to do anything anywhere else on the island.
Regarding my complaints, they were all corrected as Matt was up after 12am when I made the complaints and by the morning almost everything was addressed. The bonus was that I was given another unit free of charge so I could enjoy more space for me and my guests. Brett never gave up in addressing our issues showing up several times per day to ensure everything works and we are comfortable. What a blessing.
Point is, this is the best place on the island and trust me, I know because we drove everywhere.

The place is amazing, and perfect for large groups who want a little more privacy than a large resort would allow. The condos were clean and stocked with all the items you'll need to survive your vacation. There is an amazing private beach on the Atlantic side, which was one of our favorite places to chill. I highly recommend Buttonwood, as it really is one of the best places on Eleuthera.

This property is very tastefully decorated with excellent views of the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Sun rises and sun sets are spectacular! We could not have been more pleased with our unit "Over the Rainbow". It is spacious, private, and offers beautiful water views from every window. The property, which sits on an elevated ridge, is well maintained and centrally located in close proximity to restaurants and grocery stores. We enjoyed the pool, which is heated, and we visited several unforgettable nearby beaches. We especially loved our trip to Governor's Harbor where we enjoyed breakfast at The Buccaneer and dinner at the 1648 restaurants. Eleuthera is a unique place with lots of local Bahamian charm. You can definitely feel the love here!

Our family (college aged daughters) absolutely fell in love with this place! We completely enjoyed using the golf cart to head over to our secluded beach as well as right out front to the calm carribean side where we looked for shells, swam, and snorkeled. The place was perfect! Highly recommend!!

Our family has visited Eleuthera and stayed at Buttonwood Reserve 4 times now. Each time has been amazing. The Buttonwood property is beautiful with a wonderful heated swimming pool. Each unit has a golf cart which you can use to travel to the Atlantic side beach. A new stairway has been added for easy access to the beach. The Atlantic beach surf can seem a bit rowdy at times, but in the mornings is usually calmer. I say this to encourage you to experience this beach because the sea glass, shells and coral pieces make for exciting snorkeling. We would all walk the pink sand beaches as a family and took 100's of pictures. The Caribbean beach has a newly added dock which is a great addition. The kids (me too!) had loads of fun jumping off of it! The snorkeling along the shoreline presents a view of beautiful fish, shells, coral and is normally very calm. Both beaches have amazingly clear water! Some places have coral and rock, so you definitely want to bring beach footwear. I love my Crocs which helped me easily navigate entry and exit of the water. This year we braved Lighthouse Point Beach and survived! The road out to Lighthouse Beach is very long, gnarly rock and eroded...but...if taken gently, and slowly, you will be GREATLY rewarded with the most amazing beach and cliff formations! Never did I think we were going to be stranded or stuck...but take your time and enjoy this incredible beach. Note: Bring extra camera batteries and memory cards :) We also took courage and explored Queens Bath for the 1st time and picked our way down the coral slopes. Note: Have good shoes, take your time, prepare to take lots of pics. We swam in the naturally formed pools and it was a must see and do activity! The people on Eleuthera are so friendly! Sonya and Brenda and Patrick and Perry are all simply the very best and made our 11 days in paradise so memorable! You will want to rent a car for island and beach exploring and Roderick was wonderful. Please don't miss out on this amazing island and Buttonwood Reserve for a truly relaxing and fun filled experience! We were truly blessed by its beauty and you will be too! :) Cheers!

Perfect vacation!

This was our third trip to Eleuthera and staying at the Buttonwood. My husband,son and I absolutely love it there! Our condo was immaculately clean, well equipped, modern but still gave you a beach feel. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was warm and clean and refreshing after a day in the sea and sand. We rarely if ever revisit a place we’ve gone before but because of the trust and comfort level we have staying here it is someplace we love revisiting. The beaches are pristine, the people are kind and friendly and it’s the perfect place to decompress for tranquility. Love the Buttonwood!

The condo was very nicely decorated, very comfortable and perfectly suited to our family of 4. Its central location was great for exploring beaches both north and south of James Cistern. The pool was a perfect way to end each day. We took advantage of every amenity Buttonwood offered - private golf cart for enjoying the spectacular Atlantic beach, kayaking and paddle boarding on the Caribbean side. The manager Tia was so responsive and welcoming and caretaker James a most hospitable host. We highly recommend this property for exploring the beauty of Eleuthera.

Buttonwood was a fantastic choice for my friends and myself. The 2-bedroom condo is nicely laid out for privacy and beautifully furnished. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were home. We were greeted to a nicely cooled unit, which was greatly appreciated as we unpacked our vehicle and moved in. The views of water over both sides of the island can be enjoyed right from the condo. A golf cart is provided for every unit to allow easy access and transport of items for enjoying the beach. We had hours of fun exploring both sides of the island and coming across great surprises: shipwrecks, sea glass, fan coral (sea fans) and conch shells, among many others. The pool was a refreshing change from the sea water and we spent the better part of an afternoon just relaxing at the pool, located steps from the condo, yet private with its great landscaping. We will undoubtedly return to Buttonwood on our annual visits to Eleuthera. Matt and Pam made sure all arrangements were secure and they were efficient in handling requests. Great team!

This was our first trip to Eleuthera and Buttonwood Reserve was the perfect introduction to this pristine and peaceful island. With convenient proximity to GH airport, it was easy to get settled in after a long day of travelling. The condo was spotlessly clean and well cared for and we felt at home right away. Other guests were friendly and helpful. Paddle boarding and snorkeling on the calm Caribbean side was one of the highlights of our entire trip as was our golf cart adventure to the Atlantic side where we walked for miles on the powdery white sand beaches....and only saw one other couple the whole time. We were happy to discover what ended up being our favourite restaurant (LeoRose) within walking distance (we went 3 times!) where we enjoyed great food, live music, and unmatched hospitality. There was also convenient shopping in James Cistern which made it easy to get some supplies. We thought the location was ideal as we adventured to the far north and south of Eleuthera from this central spot. We loved it :)
