Great for surfing! Super helpful staff

The room lacks storage options

The restaurant was good, the staff was nice, regarding the facilities you get what you pay for. It’s super convenient for surfing, they take care of everything. We had a good time at Edo’s!

The bedsheets were not clean when we arrived. We addressed it at the reception and it was no problem to change the bedsheets. The bathroom door didn’t close.

Great room big and confortable, the location is amazing and the staff is super good. I stayed there for 10 days and for sure I refomcomend Edo homestay for everyone that wants a beautiful place to stay in Gerupuk. The restaurant is very good too!

Cheap place, friendly staff. Great location for surfing. Breakfast included, and restaurant pretty cheap. I would stay here again if come back to Grupuk.

Water stops twice in 3 days. WiFi connection is useless, but mobile internet works very good.

Our stay at Edo homestay was incredible. Ken, Idi, Susu and Dan were so accommodating and made our week in Gerupuk very memorable. Our stay was surf focused, and you couldn’t be in a better spot than at Edo with boats going out to the breaks from their doorstep. The food was fantastic and very reasonable, the staff were all so friendly and our room was clean, spacious and had excellent air conditioning. We couldn’t rate Edo Homestay more highly, especially if you’re in Gerupuk to surf. Thank you for an incredible week!

Staff was friendly! Breakfast was alright, you can choose between three different options and have a nice view to the waterside while eating. Especially good location for surfers.

Bed–sheets were dirty, room was very loud (mosque, fighting street dogs and loud people). They gave us a twin room instead of a booked double room. Everybody tries to force you into surfing lessons and boat tours to the waves. Sadly they couldn‘t spread a nice surfing vibe.

There is mosque near that starts morning prayers at 4am (at least on weekends). Even earplugs didn't help so didn't get much sleep. Room itself was pretty nice but toilet was leaking and sometimes not flushing at all. Also not the cleanest. Wifi is not strong.

The Homestay is just at the point where boats are going to surf sports so for surfers it's very convenient location.

Bathroom is a bit horrible, lack a lot of cleanliness, had some smell and the toilet was leaking. Also people at the restourant downstairs are a bit annoying offering their boat services. Internet was not working well, was always disappearing, at least during our one night stay.

Edo Surf Homestay was incredibly central to Gerupuk, just catch a boat with Edo right out the front of the property to whichever surf break you choose. A simple, homely and surfy room feel, the restaurant full of amazing staff, supermarket within a few steps and amazing warungs at your fingertips. Edo himself is such a kind and caring man, not to mention an incredible surfer! He really looked after me, as I was a solo traveler, along with the friendliest staff when I was there, options to visit other beautiful places nearby or far, for a very reasonable offer. I will definitely be coming back, thank you very much once again xx

great location to go surfing

hostel where you can feel that the owner sees you as a business opportunity the atmosphere is far from the usual welcoming atmosphere you can find in other surf hostel in Lombok the rooms only contain the strict minimal, are not decorated and are right above the motor parking

great little spot, simple but the food in the restaurant was great, the staff organised my boats every morning to the breaks my bike and all transport and really looked after me. this is a place to stay if you wanna surf and get on the breaks early.

At first glance, I wasn't expecting much, but it was much better than first impressions. Room was fine. Centre of activity for surfers going out to the waves in hired boats. Hired a boat ourselves for a bit of sightseeing (not being surfers). Very friendly and efficient staff. Good meal at the restaurant, cold beer. Given how busy the place was when we arrived, we were surprised to find that we were the only people actually staying at the Homestay, all the others returned to Kuta, which I think is a pity. Located on the seafront, good views across the bay.

Breakfast was delicious next to the water in a wonderful pavilion. The food was great and the accommodation made everything easy. There was a booking.com mistake but the owner accommodated us and they put us up at Spear Beach instead.

I would caution folks looking for the surfing experience to do their research and really read the reviews from other surfers from travel websites about Gerupuk. The accommodations were great but we had some negative experiences on the water surfing.
