We have booked room late in the afternoon and the host was amazing as even though she didn't have the room that we booked available at that moment, she has accomodated us in studio apartment for the same price. Studio was great, very clean and neat with equipped bathroom and kitchen. Host is just great, kind and was very helpful. She also went extra mile and prepared snacks and traditional home made portuguese pastry in the morning even though we didn't have breakfast included in the price. This is the place where we would definitely stay again and i would recommend it to anyone passing by Figueira da Foz.

Ms Odete was really nice and helpful, always with a smile on her face, really kind to the Kids. Everything was so clean, and the decoration awesome. Really recommendable!!!

Odete is a lovely person who cares about her guests' comfort! We had booked the room with two single beds, which she had thoughtfully pushed together to make a big comfy king. The building is beautifully restored and full of charming character. We slept peacefully to the sounds of seagulls and we loved the big shared kitchen for preparing our meal. We brought our dog and Odete is clearly an animal lover! The location is good with a little market nearby and plenty of free overnight parking, even in summer. We would be delighted to stay again.

The room is a little tight, but the bathroom is a good size and the communal sitting and dining areas more than make up for it.

The experience has been unbeatable! Odete is lovely and always attentive if you need anything. The room was perfect and the house was amazing. It is also in a very quiet area, so rest is assured. We will definitely come back! Thank you so much for everything, Odete! :) Best regards, Javier

Be aware the distance to the beach

Chez Odete (after the hostess) is located on a quiet side street in Figueira da Foz near the beach. From the outside it is a typical very well kept Portuguese house. The first surprise was upon arrival: the hostess had "reserved" a parking space for us directly in front of the accommodation by means of a pylon and a painter's bucket, welcomed us and made it free. The next surprise was when we entered: The interior was divided very interesting and modern, the furnishings of old and new would have made a splash in any decorating magazine. It was the result of one of the best Portuguese architectural offices, an interior architect from Porto and the use of selected materials. The room was not large, but equipped with everything a traveler could want, the bathroom a comfortable dream of wood, marble and modern fixtures and decorated as harmoniously as the room. In addition, there was a large common area, a wonderful terrace and, last but not least, the best hostess you could imagine.

Coming in to Chez Odete is like entering your grandmother's house. It feels warm and welcoming. Dona Odete, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. I was travelling with my friend. We book a two-double-bed room. The room is comfy and well equipped. The shower was nice and the toilet has bidet! Which is super nice :) The common space is very cozy and homy. Dona Odete offered us coffee and a wonderful homemade carrot cake in the morning. We enjoyed our coffee time while talking to Dona Odete and the other guest. The location is superb. It's not too far from all the action, but far enough to have a calm and quiet night. To go to the casino and restaurant area only took 10 mins walking. All in all, it was a very nice experience. And will definitely stay there again if I am in town :)

Nice room and nice living-room and terrace where you can stay really calm. Parking in the street in front of the house (Odete reserved a spot for us). Odete was very helpful in every aspect and made sure we had everything we needed.
