Creatively decorated and comfortably furnished and super convenient to OSF, stores, restaurants! Mori and John were welcoming and respectful. I highly recommend this property.

John and Mori have created a home that rather belongs in Oz or the other side of the looking glass. Every corner of the property has been considered with the hosts creative eyes and gifted skills. It is as fun to stay in as it looks in the photos. We loved it so much we hope one day soon to call John and Mori neighbors.

So large with fascinating colors and textures. The owners are artists and the home reflects that. The huge bed room is upstairs with the bath downstairs. The stairs are wide and gentle and well lit with nite lites. If there is a draw back it would be the shared common wall downstairs with the main house. Great stay ,great location, groceries one block, gym 2 blocks , downtown 3 blocks and great hosts!

John and Mori are excellent hosts, great communication! It's a lovely home with a comfy bed and all the kitchen utensils you need. Location was excellent for restaurants and attending shows at OSF! We'll be going back again!!

This was, I believe, my fourth visit here, so clearly I enjoy the place. It's easy walking distance to downtown Ashland; the owners clearly care about the place and are very responsive to requests; the kitchen has all I need.

This property was perfect for our month-long stay. We had everything we needed, especially a washer and dryer. The railroad district is close to everything. We were able to walk to restaurants, the Food Co-op and other businesses as well as Lithia Park.

I just reviewed this house in December of 2020, and enjoyed it so much that I decided to return here two months later. Not only is the place centrally located, but it is well-maintained by its owners, who are respond right away to any questions or issues. The house is also quite lovely inside--carefully decorated. The space is great for one person or a couple, but it does have a sofa bed downstairs as well. My only caveats are that the bathroom is downstairs while the bedroom (spacious) loft is upstairs--although on very well-built stairs which created no problem for my 64-year-old self; and the light does come strongly through in the bedroom on nice days, so probably not ideal for those who sleep in. But I have returned, and will probably return again.

The appeal of this house is both its central location and the obvious care and love that the owners have put into it. It was lovely to stay in a place with such beautiful tiling and detail work. And, despite its many intriguing tchtochkes, the place is very clean and dust-free. Also great is the fact that everything totally reflects the description on VRBO. We were pleased, as well, by the quick response of the owners to any questions as well as by the many high-quality amenities that the place offers, particularly cookware. Light sleepers might keep in mind that one of the bedroom loft windows has no shade; those who are planning to spend many daytime hours at the place (as we did, since it was wintertime and COVID-time) should note that one can quite easily hear phone conversations in the owner's side of the house. Those who, like me, are over 60, might keep in mind that the bedside lighting in the loft is somewhat dim--although the lamps themselves are gorgeous. Overall, though, this is a delightful place for two people--a place to which we hope to return.

It was nice to be close enough to all the amenities of OSF that we didn't have to drive at all while we were in town. It was too chilly to enjoy the front porch, but I think it would have been the perfect location to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

I was fortunate to find this place for a reunion of old friends of ours that we knew 40 years ago when we worked at same overseas location. It was perfect for our get together. Close to restaurants and coffee shops .What an interesting place to hang out with old friends. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a great location with so many restaurants, stores and activities in easy walking distance. This is a lean and charming home and John is very nice and communicative.

The Artisan House was a wonderful place to be and to have as a home-base during our stay in Ashland. It is artfully painted and decorated, and well appointed with amenities and appliances. The kitchen, dining and living area downstairs is quite comfortable, and the loft bedroom upstairs is spacious. Just 3 blocks from downtown and 1 block from the natural foods coop and coffee shops. It was perfect for our time in in this charming town.

This is a magical place. Great location, surroundings and a beautiful space. We enjoyed our stay so much we can't wait to visit again in the future.

One of the great things about staying in VRBO’s is finding such unique places like this beautiful home. The artistic and creative decorations made this place really special. It was centrally located and had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hosts were wonderful to work with.

Great location and lovely place. We parked our car when we arrived and didn’t use it again until we left. The kitchen is very well equipped. The living room is warm and cozy. Great front porch. Upstairs loft bedroom is charming. Can’t say enough nice things about it.

From the melodious tones of the wind chimes, to the bold gem stone color palette of the walls, tile and linens. This place is a festival for the senses. We loved the hand thrown pottery and attention to detail everywhere you looked. Nothing about this place is dull and ordinary. It is the embodiment of Ashland, exuding creativity and joie de vivre!

A charming railroad district property close to everything and well-outfitted. Mori and John are terrific hosts, eager to be of help when asked. The cottage is air-conditioned, which is a greatly appreciated during the warm summer afternoons. The one-block walk to the coop was also appreciated. We'd definitely hope to stay here again on our next trip to Ashland. Excellent!

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was superbly equipped, there was a washer/dryer and air conditioning. The location is great - easy walking distance to the OSF, and even better -- a quick walk to the Ashland Co-op.

First, I want to thank Mori and John for being the most amazing hosts! So warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! The house is amazing, but they made our stay extra special! We spent a very relaxing week at their little piece of Ashland paradise. If you want a place that makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door then this is the place for you. I could tell that Mori and John put lots of love, creativity and heart into creating this little Ashland treasure. John also made the beautiful lamps that are located throughout the home. The covered porch with the large comfortable lounge chairs was one of our favorite spots and we spent most of our evenings there when we weren’t enjoying downtown Ashland. Speaking of downtown, the location of this property is super on point and we were close to everything. Just parked our car and forgot about it. The kitchen is well appointed with every thing you need to cook any meal. A large table that will seat six and up to eight with the extra extension. The upstairs bedroom is a great space. Open and airy. The bed is amazing! King size and super comfortable! Slept like a baby every night. The bathroom is a work of art! Beautiful artistic tile work, and the shower is large with a dual shower head. We truly loved this home and we will be choosing to stay here every time we return to Ashland.
