Great size property with many rooms/beds but smelly a little moldy and dishwasher not working properly.

We wanted a large property with a private pool that was also close to the beach. This was a well appointed house that also checked those boxes. We enjoyed our time there, and we always love Kiawah! One thing u might want to be aware of…all the children managed to get splinters in their hands and/or feet from the back stairway coming down from the pool. Be careful as u go up or down.

We were disappointed the first day when there was a sign on the stove that we couldn’t use the cook top. Our property manager came the next day with an electrician who got the stove working. The location of this home is wonderful. The overall condition of the home seems to be dated. The kitchen is small considering the size of the home. The kitchen appliances seem extremely dated as well. The cleanliness of the kitchen was not great, but maybe that is due to the age of the home. The pool is nice but small and there is no privacy from the home next-door.

Close to the beach, the pool is very nice, but bring your own hangers, as apparently guests tend to take them with. We will definitely return.

The property was clean and consistent with what you would expect in a premier home on Kiawah. The location was excellent and just a 3 minute walk to the beach. The house was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans. BUT.... there is no pantry and no place to store groceries. This can be a problem with a large family that likes to cook and has lots of food. The kitchen is on the small side for a house this large. The pool was larger than most in this category. It was clean and well maintained. BUT... when we asked for the code to the automatic pool cover (for safety reasons) we were told that the owner refused to give it out. This was troubling as we had three grandkids under the age of three. Not all pools have covers, but it seems like an unnecessary safety risk when you have a cover but cannot use it. Finally, HVAC for two of the bedrooms upstairs was poor. There were fans provided which did help, but air circulation was poor. I suspect that these two rooms were added after construction and, unfortunately, the HVAC was not upgraded to meet the needs of these rooms. Overall, the property was comfortable, convenient and served its purpose. We had a wonderful time. Addressing the three problems listed would make it perfect!
