Beautiful place to visit, you'll leave your problems behind in this avocado oasis. Was perfect for our 7 monther aswel, great big flat lawn. Comfy firm bird, kitchen had all the bits. We'll be back!

Lovely clean, fully equipped, new cottage. Warm home and comfortable beds, great water pressure in the shower. A destination in its self for anyone wanting a restful place to stay or only a short drive to Whangarei township. Great covered deck overlooking a charming developing garden space.

This lovely quiet cottage is very clean and well -appointed. It's off the beaten track, so you must take care and follow the hosts directions and signs, but that's also the wonderful charm of the place. I only gave it 4 stars for location just in case you wanted to be closer to the action, but then you wouldn't be looking at a farm property, right? Very friendly and communicative hosts rounded out a great stay.

Beautiful quiet setting surrounded by greenery. Modern spacious cottage equipped with everything you might need. A short drive to the many attractions of Whangarei. Friendly hosts. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in.

The most beautiful little cottage in picturesque surroundings. The cottage was clean, very well equipped and cosy. Great amenities. An exceptional peaceful and charming property set amongst an avocado orchard. The hosts, Karen and Grant are amazing people who make their guest feel at home. Our stay unfortunately clashed with cyclone Gabrielle and Karen and Grant could not have been more accommodating by letting us stay extra days and ensuring that we were safe and well. They supplied everything in a time of meed and we will be forever grateful for their kindness and friendship. A wonderful place to stay in the country but without being too far to Whangārei. A great find and we will return. Karen & Family

We only stayed one night but it was perfect for us. Wonderful quiet location with beautiful sunset peaking through the orchard. Everything one would need for a stay…open plan, all modern amenities and topped off with a great deck outside. A perfect place to relax. Easy drive to town. I would highly recommend this cosy cottage.

Wonderful stay is spotlessly clean quiet restful well equipped cottage in the middle of an avocado orchard. So much to like!

An Exceptional Property
Located about 12 km from Whangerei and if approached from there it is easy to locate. An easy drive takes you to SH1 and the town centre. The property is a delight. It is so far from the road, in an avocado farm, that it is very quiet and tranquil. It also has a small garden where you can watch the pukekos.
It is clean, and well fitted out and furnished. It even has a very large TV with Netflix. We cannot think of anything that was a disappointment.
Highly recommended and will certainly make a point of staying here again next time we are in the area.

Peace and Quiet amongst the avocados.
A wonderful peaceful stay with welcoming and informative hosts. Pristinely clean and tidy with lovely comfortable beds. A well appointed unit with everything we could need. We loved staying here with room for the boys to run around. Close enough to Whangarei and all its attractions without being in the hub bub of the city. We'll be recommending this place to all we meet.

Avostay - a real gem
On our recent visit to Whangarei we had the pleasure of staying at Avostay.
What a gem of a place this is. Our hosts, Karen and Grant could not have been more helpful and welcoming.
The cabin was immaculate and a really comfortable place to relax.
Fresh avocados miraculously appeared at our front door most mornings. Many different types wild life strolled by as we had our breakfast on the shaded decking area.
We highly recommend this accommodation and
if we ever return to this area we will have no hesitation in booking Avostay again.
